Two other people in our party also ordered the Burger special and received about a dozen small fries. Again, staff on duty too lazy to make appropriate amount of fries. We arrived at 6:00 pm- aware that they were closing at 8:00 pm for some reason- it turns out a private party. At 7:15 the gruff waitress presented our group of 6 with our checks- despite the fact we weren't done ordering yet.... And it was far from 8:00 pm. As a plus- the heat was working tonight- two weeks ago the restaurant was around 50 degrees inside and had a small space heater as the sole heating source. Restaurant needs to formulate- and make a written copy available- of a BEER LIST. It's beyond irritating to have to ask "What IPA's do you have"? and get the response- "We have Miller Lite, Yuengling", etc..... if you know anything about beer you can relate. Simply put- this establishment needs to step it up several notches to get to average.

By the time we were finally done, most restaurants were already closed. We called this restaurant close to 10 PM, and from the moment the hostess answered the phone, we were treated with such kindness and genuine hospitality. We arrived around 10 PM, and not once did we feel like we were an inconvenience or that anyone was trying to rush us out the door. Quite the opposite. From the hostess, to Chef Suli, to our waitress, everyone was absolutely amazing. They were warm, personal, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What impressed us even more was the food. Even though it was late, nothing felt rushed. The food was prepared with care, and the food was absolutely amazing! You have to order the Babe's wings, the crab stuffed pretzel,and brisket sandwich with the homemade potato chips everything was delicious ! After such a long, exhausting day, this was exactly what we needed. While great food is always important, it's service like this that truly leaves a lasting impression. We live 2 hours away and aren't able to come often, but this experience was so memorable that next year it will definitely be on our must-visit list. A huge thank you to Chef Suli, our waitress, the hostess, and the entire team for taking such great care of us. You turned the end of a very long day into such a wonderful experience. They took one of the classic homes on Main Street and turned it into a restaurant, with lots of outdoor seating on a patio out front, a bar and high top area in the main room to the right, but quieter dining in the back and upstairs. It's bright and clean, but still keeps that old feel. They have a full menu; this visit I was in with a friend and we both opted for steak dinners, which are served with choice of sides and sauce. Prices are reasonable for the area and quality of the food, but definitely higher than a typical meal out in town. They also have a wonderful beer list, with lots of local choices and fresh kegs. Service was great, we had a friendly server who was attentive all evening. I can definitely see why this place is still around and as popular as ever; if you're looking for something a little more special in the area, this is worth the trip.
