Puck's Donuts is the best in town. Wide variety and very flavorful. It might be a small shop but they're big on quality. Arrive early for the best selection. They are in the Alberson's parking lot on West Main near the liquor store. Give them a try, you'll appreciate the difference. read more

It could have had a 5 but the Apple fritter hurt them. Apple fritters should be big lumpy wades of dough with "BIG" chunks of apple, and plenty of cinnamon. These were basically rolled out dough with small pieces of apple scattered randomly. The flavor was fine just needed more. Not a lot of charm in the lobby of a donut shop, but it was clean and not too crowded. The clerk, attendant, owner was very pleasant. I used to go to Pucks in Ashland next to the Liquor Store decades ago. I did not know there was a Medford location. Stumbled onto it while looking for doughnuts for employees. Top notch donuts, better than Voodoo or Bluestar in Portland. Granted those two places have silly fringe donuts, which you can't get here, but I'd rather have just some regular donuts done well. Only downside is trying to avoid the rush. There has been a line around the building in the rain before, which is a bit crazy for this area. That should tell you how good they are. They temporarily closed a while back due to a family emergency and we're so happy they returned! read more

While in Medford we had a craving for some donuts, so after some searching we ended up at Puck's. We got the maple bars and I must say that these were the softest donuts I have had and not overly covered with glaze. Overall a C+ Raised Glazed. The donut body was well done, soft and yeasty. The glaze was barely there, and the first taste was not yummy but oily. And not a nice nutty oil flavor, but bordering on rancid. Bottom line: very disappointed! read more

The staff was helpful. The lobby is clean. The donut selection at 8:15 on a Sunday was wide and looked delicious. The glazed Old Fashion was perfect. On the other hand, the Apple Fritter, not so much. What should be a highly vertical Lumpy wad of dough with large chunks of apple incorporated wasn't. It was flat like it was rolled out with a few small pieces of apple sprinkled on top. Don't get wrong, it still tasted good, I wouldn't let this review scare me off. I will be back. I have always liked Puck's, they have good doughnuts but not so good on compassion. My mom recently had her arm hurt on the door by a rude female customer. When my mother asked for a bandaid she was treated very poorly, ( like how dare she ask)! They gave her a bandaid but didn't treat her very nice. read more

Donuts are light with a nice crunch to them. The texture is among the best I've eaten. Flavors aren't that strong but totally fine; maple bars could be more mapley but chocolate old fashioned is excellent. Apple fritters are tasty but not huge like some places. Jelly i the filled donuts is your standard globby stuff (nothing special) but the buttercream filled ones are really good. The sugar high is pretty intense though. read more

Every time we come by they're closed. Hard to try it and leave a decent review when their posted hours on EVERY website don't match what's on their door (which seems to change regularly). It's not just by like 30 minutes, oops sold out so we closed early either. Hours online: 6am - 3pm. Swing by at noon and they're closed. What's to say? You like classic donuts? Like the fancy kind? This is your place. Great staff for the most part, and always service with a smile. Always a few of each style donut on hand, but be forewarned, they seem to make "just enough" donuts for each day, so they often sell out really quick. Donuts are fresh and delicious, and typically baked/fried just right. We like Pucks, and considering it's close by, frequent this place quite a bit. Worth a visit! read more
