So thankful for the deli preparing two delicious deli trays for me. I can appreciate the large selection/variety of deli meats to choose from. I was feeding about 30 high school students. The service they provided made my life easier. I am thankful they place the tomatoes on the side for me to prevent the sandwiches from getting too soggy. Also, thanks for the side of pickles. The kiddos scarfed the sandwiches without skipping a beat. Nothing went to waste. This Publix on Presidents Pl is always well staffed and has such helpful friendly employees. The store is also genuinely clean. I will definitely be back next week as I have them prepare a second round of sandwiches for my next large gathering. read more

The service is always spot on. Never have to stand in line very long if at all. The store is always clean and very organized and I love visiting the clearance aisle to see what treasures I can find. I stopped here because I was asked by Sam at work to get him some beer that is only available down south that he likes, he says it's the bud of the south and it's all over where I'm going to be so I said ok. Publix was not far from where I was so I stopped in to see if the beer was there and it was but no a 30 pack can like he wanted. The store was your typical grocery store on the small side like a Walmart market I thought, just enough of everything on a smaller scale. The beer selection was mostly domestic and no world of beer selection by any means. Publix is a chain grocery store but this store felt more like a small town store to me than a chain, I didn't get what I went for but I left something for me anyway so that's ok. read more

I paid about $175 for a bunch of groceries and noticed that a $10 bottle of mouthwash wasn't in my bags when I got home. A couple of days later, after giving my car a thorough search, I went back to Publix with my receipt and told the woman at customer service that the one item was missing. She looked in a book and then whispered to the older woman next to her. That woman then took charge. She said to me, "Ok we'll take care of it this one time." THIS ONE TIME? No, every single time your staff bags my groceries and doesn't include an item I paid for in my bags, you will take care of it. How dare she imply that I'm a thief or scammer? I got my mouthwash and left. In the future, if I ever shop there again, I will carefully pack my own groceries and never allow their staff to handle anything I paid for. I'm still wondering what was in the book. read more

I always love shopping at Publix, but I had an extra great experience today at this location! When looking for turnip greens, there were none in the case, but Javier was there stocking shelves and asked if we needed anything. I asked him if they had any more turnip greens and he gladly checked the back for us and came back with a box full!! Best breads! New to the area and was looking for a Whole Foods. Not cause I'm a yuppie, but because I love good bread! The cranberry walnut is amazing! Tried Walmart's version and threw it in the trash!!! They also have a breakfast bread, but to me this one is best. Be sure to try their sour dough too. PS-customer service like it was back in the day (too bad nowadays it has to be taught rather than happen naturally)...and my husbands high blood pressure medication is FREE here, yes FREE! read more

Sam Ridley has an abundance of grocery stores...Super Target, Kroger, and Publix. I like and go to all 3 for different reasons. I really enjoy this Publix. The deli is usually stocked with Rotisserie chicken, and my special hot wing order (battered, no sauce) is always ready when promised. The bakery is the best. The cakes are all so good and priced so well. I ordered a cake for a baby shower, and it came out beautifully. Also, one time a cake was on sale, but was incorrectly priced on the tag, and I got it for free! The staff is always so helpful and nice. Grabbed a carton of eggs without checking for cracks, and the cashier opened to check and found a broken egg. She insisted the bagger to grab a new dozen even after I refused. It can be a bit pricey if not on sale, but its worth the service. read more

I called in a week in advance and ordered a smash cake and one dozen cupcakes for my son's first birthday party, and woman in the bakery that fulfilled my order was a total sweetheart. When she told me my total was only $15 I was shocked! Such a good deal. Since it was so cheap I asked if they could customize it, I didn't mind paying extra. Simple customizations are FREE, folks. I had them do a blue ombre effect on the cake with yellow piping and a yellow crescent moon on top. Yellow frosting for the cupcakes. I went and picked everything up on the day of his birthday and it was all exactly as I wanted it to be! I will be coming back next year for sure! read more

I stopped in this morning at 7am when they opened to grab some cupcakes and a cake and cookies for a work event. I spent well over $75 bucks just in the bakery. I tell you that bakery manager or whomever she is really rude, not much of a morning person if I say so myself. The staff was pretty nice anyway I was picking up a mini cake for an employees birthday like my company always do my our employees. I noticed some spots on the top of one of the cakes I picked out and decided I didn't want it because it looked like mold or whatever discolored spots on a pink cake does not look good to be giving to someone. She had an attitude trying to justify the spots as food coloring and I didn't care obviously I'm not giving that to someone. Mind you I normally shop out at the one in Donelson they are always nice and even takes the price tags off for me. Everyone else at this location was pretty nice it's just that bakery manager should get a grip when a customer is paying there money. Worst part is she put the cake back on the shelf !! Gross! I wish I had taken a picture! Smh! I WONT BE BACK. read more

This Publix is my go to grocery store. Customer service is top notch and couldn't get much better. Everyone from the stock guys to the management is always helpful and offering assistance. I'm in there sometimes twice a week. read more

Publix is notorious for having great customer service. This one, not so much. The employees in general are rude. I've received less than stellar service from the bakery, the deli, the pharmacy, and the cashiers. I'll stick to shopping at Publix in Nashville because they are great. If I'm in Smyrna, maybe I'll try Kroger instead. read more

This is for Deli only. 3 times I have been there the head of the Meat department is inappropriate and not very good at customer service. Final and last time, someone else helped me and then get this asked the Head Butcher guy again. arghhhhh If I wanted him, I would have just asked him. Needless to say, not my favorite and probably won't go for their meat. Others parts of store no complaints, but definitely not a fan of their meat department. I would give it 1 star, but don't hate it, just don't like the head guy. read more

First off, this is a great store. I shop here often even though I have to drive an additional 10 miles to shop here. However I just left there after having a disturbing experience at the self check area. As I entered the area the first 2 were taken so I went to the one on the left which is nearest to the door. As I approached with my basket I noticed the attendant. He was tall, thin, young, with black horn rim glasses with his arms folded across his chest, between the two stations nearest to the door. He was staring with his head tilted back like he was in charge and "you should know". I had a cart and as I was unloading and scanning he maintained his position (not socially distanced, about 3 feet from behind me and without a mask), refusing to move away. As I finished my checkout I moved the basket over a little. After I did so, he took the basket and placed it horizontally between himself and the station, thus blocking my exit, continuing his apparent attitude and demeanor. It was totally uncalled for. While the store is clean and the workers are nice. I would double check any pre packaged ready to eat food from the deli even if it has a good date on it. I bought some sushi one time and the date was good but I opened it up and the smell almost made me sick and I took it back and let them know that maybe it was a mistake or one of the worker are slacking on the job bc that was awful. They kindly took it back and gave me my money back for it. read more

Publix is the best chain grocery store in the South hands down!!! Amazing service and the meat/seafood is the freshest around.

I am a HUGE fan of Publix. Their customer service is unbelievable. The employees are so personable. They recognize us and always stop to say "hi". The BOGO deals they offer are great for trying to save money. Honestly though, I would be willing to pay a little more for my groceries just to have a positive shopping experience. There is a Kroger supermarket down the road that I hate going to. I avoid it if at all possible. The difference in the way I am treated at the two stores is amazing. Long live Publix!! read more
