I picked up some groceries and the young lady working helped me shop. Nice experience and people.

This was one of our first stops. What a fun unassuming place. Walking in on a Saturday about 11 am there was a line in front, a line at the butcher and a line at the bakery. We oogled the aisles at the assortment of offerings and their very good prices. My son then started complaining about being hungry so we decided to return later. As I was leaving we said goodbye to the cashier. He asked if anything was wrong. I replied, no just have to feed my son. He nodded and we were off. 1/2 hour later we were back. This time no line. I asked about the lines. He stated it is normal but it does go fast. I can witness to that. I bought some bread and some sambusas (sp). 1 chicken, had a nice spice but the vegetable blew me away!!! So incredibly tasting I did not feel guilty it being a deep fried pie. We talked to the cashier about the bread. He asked if I went back to the bakery to see what was the freshest. I said I will be right back. I was and bought a few more packages. AMAZING and OMGosh, what a treat watching the bakers make the bread. Makes one wonder how far we have come to want to go back and see how much better authentic bread should and is still made. Should add, but I don't want to, they have a breakfast pizza with sausage in the am and it is limited. Oy...If you see me, get out of my way, I am not above cutting in line and paying you for it. Prices are very good, no dust, no questions on prices, everything clearly marked, (my pet peeve). How do you buy something not knowing the price? Chatted again with cashier about the store and our purchases. Really enjoyed our quick 2 trips in same day within 30 minutes of each other. Will be back for the amazing bread AND Vegetable Sambusas and sweet cashier. See pics of bread. HUGE bread - good for almost anything also made quick pizza for the kids who loved it. Soft yet had a nice chew to it a few days later. Stayed Fresh! I am in Carb heaven with the bakery and the cashier made the experience great too!

Greeted warmly by the host and sat immediately even though we were a little early. Our server was Alyssa and she was good. For appetizers we had the chicken dumplings and vegetable egg roll. The dumplings were AMAZING. I thought the egg roll was just ok. We ordered cocktails. Mine was GREAT. (Rum Punch) and the I'm 75 was good but my foodie partner ordered the same cocktail as me for the next round. We had a special for the entree. It was called Patti's Side Salad. Which was a build your lettuce wrap. You have a choice of maybe 4-5 proteins. We chose chicken. And the flavor was AMAZING. There were items on the entree that I would've never thought to put on my lettuce wraps as I make them at home from time to time. Also ordered the Lamb Dan Dan and was told that was delicious as well. I have already put it on my calendar to bring friends back before this dish goes off special at the end of the month.

Would not come here again. I ordered a Thai iced tea and was shocked to find out it's made from two…read morepre-made bottles that they simply mix together. To make matters worse, the drink tasted like the milk had spoiled -- you could visibly see the issue in the drink, which was extremely off-putting. I also asked for a simple substitution of broccoli instead of the mixed vegetables, which should not have been difficult. Instead, I was told no because "it's just a scoop," which made no sense -- this was a basic request that could have easily been accommodated. On top of that, the service was incredibly rude. The woman helping me had a dismissive attitude and didn't seem interested in helping at all. Overall, not worth the $10 I spent for two below-average items and some of the worst service I've experienced. It's no surprise the place was empty. Save your money and go somewhere else. $5 for the smallest serving of vegetables I didn't ask for.

Let me take my shoes off before i start (arabic habits) :…read more Apparently this place is TikTok famous. I wouldn't know, I remain a proud TikTok virgin. But I have dated enough white school teachers who "love ethnic food" to hear about this place roughly 86 times, so eventually I had to pull up and investigate. And of course i had to trust the gals the eat taco bell at 2 am post 12 shots. Let's start with the "chicken shawarma," which is ,with respect: about five miles away from an actual shawarma. This is not a shawarma. This is a chicken sandwich that identifies as shawarma. The chicken is okay but a little dry, the flavor is playing hide and seek, and by the time you get home the sandwich has the structural stability of wet cardboard. Also, the vegetables are cut like someone lost a bet and had to chop them blindfolded. Overall? Fine. Would I order it again? Probably not. But given Nashville's current shawarma economy, I understand why some folks are acting like they discovered Atlantis. Personally, I daydream about real shawarma the way people daydream about winning the lottery, or the way poets dream about lost love (in my case that one girl in 8th grade) I also tried the mixed plate (rice, lentil soup, and three meats: kabab, chicken, and beef tikka): Rice: solid. Honest work. Lentil soup: extremely shy. Needs seasoning, confidence, and maybe therapy. Also a bit oily. Chicken: dry enough to file paper work with. Beef tikka: actually pretty good, respect where respect is due. Kabab: could use more garlic, onion, and emotional support. Didn't see a health inspection score posted, and the place could definitely level up on the cleanliness side, nothing terrifying, just not sparkling either. The bald uncle behind the counter is a little dismissive and chaotic, but the man looks like he has personally witnessed several historical events, so I'm choosing compassion. They do carry a wide variety of Arabic groceries and halal raw meats (which I personally can't buy because I'm allergic, tragic and traumatic storyline), and honestly they should give discounts to school teachers because those are the main people marketing this place harder than the actual owners. Not terrible, not life changing. If this is your first shawarma, you'll be impressed. If you grew up eating shawarma, you'll drive home in silence thinking, "we as a society can do better." And also need to be more politically correct naming foods but alas.

Still amazing. Bigger seating area in back - great chicken - wife and split one and are always…read moredelighted! Go with all vegi's and garlic sauce. Mmmm
