Gulas (very tender beef stew with mashed potatoes) + Blood orange soda

I don't often write Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to after the amazing meal I just had at Behar Cafe! I ordered the Gulas ($16) and Kid's Cevapi ($10), along with a blood orange soda ($3). Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and home-cooked, and the husband and wife who run the place are wonderful. If I lived in the area, this would be a spot that I regularly visited. I can't recommend this place enough!

Authentic Bosnian Fare. Excellent service. Clean. Massive portions you can box up and take home for later. I'll be returning just to try different things on the menu.

Driving trough on vacation and saw this place. Wanted to try something different and glad we did. Nice place. Up front has the restaurant seating and small grocery in the back. Server was very helpful and friendly. Food was all great. Had the sausage and the burger. I recommend this place. Big portions with a decent price. Call first to make sure they are open. Family owned and operated so they were going to be closed the following week to take a vacation. Also has clean bathrooms. No changing table though.

10/10 experience. The service was wonderful and the food quality was outstanding. The flavor was there and the temperature was perfect. They have a wide variety of Balkan goodies to choose from in the grocery section as well. Totally recommend! I suggest you try the Burek. It's a phyllo dough swirled sort of in the shape of a cinnamon roll, filled with ground beef and onions and seasoned.

We came across this place accidentally. It is very authentic and simple but the food is amazing. I took mixed meat plate and it had 6types of meat and all delicious. Our kids are pretty picky but they ate it all. Highly recommend.

You know it's going to be authentic when you walk in and you're the only native English speaker. Go where the locals go. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food is always served hot and delicious. Try something a little different and come here. You won't regret it.

FANTASTIC! I had attended a Bosnian cooking demonstration at WKU, which got me interested in trying Behar. Everything we got - stuffed peppers, veal sausage, and spinach pita - was amazing. Truly a gem of Bowling Green's food scene. And get a cappuccino! They are amazing. And to top it all off, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, it was like being invited to someone's home. Will be back many times!

We come here often, the food is very delicious and they sell a good variety of Bosnian groceries. The Service is great, and the owner Zejna is very friendly.

I'm by no means an expert at shopping in international markets but I was impressed with my stop at…read moreNAN Asian market. They have a wide variety of items, frozen goods (like seafood and dumplings), lots of noodles (both plain noodles and instant noodle meals), grains, some sweets, fresh produce, and coffees/teas. My main reason for stopping by was for bulk sesame seeds. They unfortunately don't sell them in bulk bags but their prices were lower than surrounding chain grocers so I got some anyways! They also have Thai tea mix, which can be difficult to find. I'm sure I'll be back for that when I run out. My only complaint was that things were a little hard to find and it was difficult to tell who was working the register so I stood around for a while waiting for someone to help me check out. Overall, they have a very good selection and the woman who eventually helped me was very nice! Note: bring cash if you don't intend to spend much. There's a $10 minimum for card transactions.

They don't really have fresh meats, and their frozen selection isn't as extensive as many other Asian markets. For bowling green it is good, but if you really need something specific, you may have to go to Nashville. If you catch them on a good day you can get an English speaker to help you, and they are extremely nice. Other days you may be the only English speaker in the store
