We have been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so glad we finally made it happen. It's in a neat old drive in restaurant space (no longer a proper drive in) and they have lots of indoor seating as well as a few outdoor picnic tables. Their menu was larger than I expected so we each tried the tacos, picadas, and pupusas. I do believe the picadas were my favorite. We got the pork that she said was seasoned similarly to shawarma and it was delicious. I wish I'd gotten more! The pupusas were also great- fried cheese and bread essentially with a great sauce and some sort of cole slaw on the side. I got a taco with chicken and it wasn't really anything special but I think that's mostly because I got it with chicken. Next time I'll try pork or beef! The service was a little slow and the lady working had very rough English but was helpful nonetheless. The food didn't take long to come out so that was a plus! Overall it's a very good authentic Mexican restaurant and I encourage you to stop by if you're ever passing through and craving some Mexican cuisine!

A friend recommended me to try them out. I have had heard about Pupusa's before and was excited to get my first pupusa. It has beans and cheese inside a flour tortilla with deep pockets. I ordered chicken and steak tacos and they were delicious. Tacos are served with red and/or green sauce with a bit of salad inside and they come in a plastic bag. I loved the flavor of the sauces and they are authentic tacos with 2 flour tortillas per each taco. It looks mediocre from outside with lots of place to park vehicles outside. Basically a take out place from outside until you step in and see bar stools and tables to sit. They barely speak english and if you get lucky, sometimes you will find someone speak pokito ingles. Food is delicious and have had tried it thrice already and many more to come. Bon appetite.

This is one of my favorite places for dinner on Thursday. They have $1 tacos & pupusas every Thursday. The steak & pork are my favorite. It's hard to find good authentic tacos.

Tacos all come with onion, cilantro and avocado on top. Best tacos in Bowling Green.

Handed a menu and 18 minutes later walking out the door. No one offered me a drink to take my order anything. Will never be back.

Cheap and good food. Excellent tacos, I tried them all (lingue was my fav). Tasty burritos, and papusas to die for. Must check it out.

I woke up this morning and said to myself, "self, you need to have a good gyro today for lunch."…read more After polling my family and Yelp results, I found Sam's and I'm really glad that I did! No one was there on a Saturday around lunch time. We ordered from a pleasant fellow at the counter who quickly put our beef/lamb gyro sandwiches together. Everything was super fresh. Our order of fries were fried to order. Two gyro sandwiches, one order of fries, and one beverage came out to $22 even. They'll take your card but a nearby sign says that they prefer cash. I didn't see anything about those dumb credit card fees, so hopefully that doesn't exist. The place seemed quite clean. No concerns there. There are several tables for dine-in. There is no outdoor seating. When we arrived, the pleasant fellow was jamming out to what I would describe as trendy Miami Beach hotel lobby music - a little bit dance club, a little bit ambient beats. He turned it down, but maybe should have turned it off. If it was left at the original volume, I'd have docked a star just for the hit to the already limited ambiance. The food was STELLAR. I commented to my favorite dining companion that we could come back for a gyro anytime. He agreed. The pita bread was toasted perfectly, the veggie components of the sandwiches were fresh and bright, the meat was pre-cut from the rotisserie but was perfect and plentiful. You'll have to eat some of the sandwich insides before you can fold it taco style and finish it, so grab a fork and dig in. The fries were those chunky style ones that were fried to crisp perfection and dusted with a seasoned salt of some sort. I did not check to see if the Heinz ketchup at the table is actually Heinz or if they are refilling the bottles (iykyk). The sandwich is plenty for lunch - you don't need fries or a side to get a filling meal. The location is easy enough to get in and out of for a quick escape if you order takeout. I did notice an advertisement for delivery, but it wasn't Uber Eats, Grubhub, or DoorDash. I'll be back! I do love a gyro but I plan to try the salads and platters. I hope you stop in and give it a try! Enjoy!

I visited Slim Chickens in Bowling Green for the first time yesterday and left with mixed feelings…read more The atmosphere reminded me a bit of Raising Cane's--but with wings and salads on the menu, which was a nice twist. When I walked in, I was greeted by what looked like a young teenager at the register. He was polite, but when I asked whether the wings were breaded or naked (since I'm trying to stick to a restrictive diet), he wasn't sure and couldn't give me a clear answer. That was a little surprising since it seems like something the staff should be familiar with. I ordered the 8-piece buffalo wings and specifically asked for no fries or bread. I was given a table place card and a drink cup, and everything moved along pretty smoothly after that. However, when my food was brought to the table, it still came with fries and bread--both of which I couldn't eat. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely disappointing since I had asked ahead of time. Service overall was just okay--not terrible, not great. The wings themselves were actually really good, which redeemed the experience a bit. I might give them another try, but next time I'll probably double-check my order when it arrives.

Ok.. first the wings. They have like 8+ flavors. Wings weren't huge but flavor Buffalo flavor was spot on. Came "wet" which was perfect fine. Perfect crisp on them. Again.. got this thru a drive thru. Totally will try these again Chicken tenders. Crispy, fresh. Yes yes yes. I brought home some for kids to try and they said "raising canes has nothing on these tenders. Probably the best ever- even reheated." But the star of the show. Totally surprise was the fried mushrooms. Batter wasn't thick like most restaurants, which hides the flavor of the mushrooms. Legit. The best fried mushrooms I've ever had. I just wish the had a dipping sauce for the mushrooms. Maybe they do.?? Ranch worked well but yeah.. these are the best. Fries were fine. Nothing special. Ranch and blue cheese were really good. For fast food... these is a 4 if 5. Carried by the tenders and mushrooms. Looking forward to them expanding to more locations. Get the fried mushrooms....
