My coworkers are annoyed with me right now for carrying on for 20 minutes about how good it was. This being the second time I've ever had pozole, I'm making reviewing it my new thang.

I used to eat here 3+ times a week in college for 3 years. It's my favorite place to eat, genuinely. I moved away but any time I am back it's my first and most the time last stop. The food is incredible, I have had every single thing on the menu and each protein. The Al Pastor is unbeaten. I haven't found anywhere in Tennessee/Kentucky that even comes close. Everything is always fresh, store is clean, and the staff is so nice. My order: Tacos, corn tortillas (they cook them perfectly), Al Pastor, queso, lettuce, shredded cheese, onions, olives, and cilantro. If you like spice get the Jalapeño sauce on the side.

This isn't just another Mexican restaurant--it's the kind of place that takes you out of your comfort zone in the best way. Eating here feels like stepping into a specific part of Mexico (and even El Salvador) and experiencing the food the way it's meant to be. You can tell everything is made with care. The salsa is fresh every day and served warm--which is different, but seriously next level. The chips are always on point, everything fried is done perfectly, and the bread is homemade. If you know, you know--Menudo on Saturdays and Sundays, and tamales Thursday through Saturday until they sell out. Don't wait on those. My go-to dishes are the carne con camarón, caldo de res, menudo, and the cheese pupusas. They even mix in Salvadoran food, which just makes the whole place even better. When you come here, you're not just a customer--you're treated like family. That's why I've been coming back for 15 years and will keep coming back.
