A love letter to Mexout Not to be dramatic but this would genuinely be my death row meal. I grew up in Arizona and am obsessed with Mexican/authentic tacos. I used to eat here 3+ times a week in college for 3 years. It's my favorite place to eat, genuinely. I moved away but any time I am back it's my first and most the time last stop. The food is incredible, I have had every single thing on the menu and each protein. The Al Pastor is unbeaten. I haven't found anywhere in Tennessee/Kentucky that even comes close. Everything is always fresh, store is clean, and the staff is so nice. My order: Tacos, corn tortillas (they cook them perfectly), Al Pastor, queso, lettuce, shredded cheese, onions, olives, and cilantro. If you like spice get the Jalapeño sauce on the side. read more

Finally had lunch at this little place. It is a gem! I ordered a burrito al pastor with rice and beans, cilantro and onions. Got the salsa verde on the side. It was one of the best burritos I have ever had. High quality ingredients and they did not skimp on the meat. The ladies behind the counter were the most polite people I ever remember in a restaurant. So very helpful. This is a small place but not noisy at all. I will be back to try other items on their menu. Burrito was filling. Yum! read more

I've had the asada tacos and a steak quesadilla both were so good! My parents go and get the torta and love them. The staff were very nice and helpful with me deciding what I want. The inside is cute and they have a sign in their window which made me laugh, I'll be back! read more

SoCal Mexican food in a small strip of stores in Kentucky?! Unpossible! But yes - it's that good. That's about the only thing we miss from California, but Mex Out has us covered! I've enjoyed everything I've had from here, but their street tacos are outstanding! Their salsas are flaming hot and full of flavor, and they are super nice people. Favorite Mexican food in Bowling Green hands down. read more

I rolled in almost right at closing (check their hours they're kind of odd). However they were kind and ready to fix whatever I ordered. I got the chicken tacos and some chips and salsa and it was prepared with the same care as if I was there in the middle of the day. These were some of the best tacos I've had and I absolutely loved the chips and salsa. If I ever find myself in bowling green again I will definitely make my way back to the MexOut. read more

MexOut is a true hidden gem in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It's located in an unsuspecting spot, buried in a strip mall next to a Subway. As a result, if you don't hear about it from a friend or happen to see it on Yelp, you'll likely just drive past it, not knowing that you've missed some of the best Mexican food you'll find in BG. Inside you'll find only a handful of tables, so if you're looking to bring a group, I'd avoid peak times. The menu is laid out in a very straightforward manner, with less than 10 entree options available. The restaurant does a good job of presenting you with a variety of options to build off of those, so don't be concerned about this being a basic dining experience. There are a number of meat options (go for the Al Pastor, it's their signature, not to be missed), and you can't really go wrong. The layout of the "assembly-line" style setup of the restaurant is familiar to anyone who's stepped foot inside a Chipotle, but you'll be faced with more authentic ingredients here. As a first timer, I'd recommend you start with 4-5 street tacos and experiment with some of the protein options (just make sure at least one of those is Al Pastor). read more

I almost knocked off a star for having to suffer through constant CCM music blaring while eating here. It's torturous but the food is worth it. read more

We traveled all the way from Maine for these tacos and they did not dissapoint. Fresh homemade tortillas fried on the grill, fresh and crisp toppings, and amazing salsas for that adding zing. The real deal! read more

This is like fast food Mexican. It's a great spot to stop for a quick lunch for tacos, nachos and such. I liked that they grilled the corn tortilla for the tacos before serving it. Nothing particularly unique about it but the food is as good and met expectations. Budget-friendly. read more

Very delicious and authentic flavors! My family loves the build your meal menu (base plus protein plus extras). The ladies who run the place know what they're doing. It's our go to taco place in BG. read more

Amazing food!! It never disappoints. It is always fresh and the Al Pastor is so authentic. 10/10 recommend.

Miss used to be my favorite spot the food is amazing however since they put up the sneeze guards and everything to where you can't see them make it everything has gotten very skimpy there half the tacos they used to be half the burritos they used to be they used to be great big more than you can eat fabulous now the taste is still there the quantity is not but I guess if they can hide and make it you don't get to see it till you're gone read more

Real authentic street tacos. Mine were delicious and the quesadilla my son had looked really good too. We will be back for sure.

Amazing tacos!! And I've lived in San Diego, San Francisco and Chicago, and this place just about beats the best!!

Went the afternoon of 30 June 23 after looking at good reviews from a KY food blogger. We ordered 3 Carna asada tacos, 3 Al pastor tacos, 1 Lengua taco and tried the guacamole. Let's just say the food was bland and the customer service needs some improvement. Asked one of the ladies about the guacamole and she had an attitude. When I'm spending my hard earned money, I have every right to ask a simple question. I should've left then but was hoping things would get better. Went to the register to pay while my daughter had toppings added on the food. While in the process of confirming what I ordered and attempting to pay, the cashier walked off and never returned to the register. I thought that to be rude and disrespectful. If she had something else to do or didn't want to service me, she should have made that known. I would have taken my money elsewhere. That was another sign to leave but assumed she was just having a bad day but the other ladies were nice for the most part. After the lady finished preparing the food, she finished the transaction. After I asked about the flavors of the agua freesca was when she decided to comment. Upon leaving, my daughter informed me that the lady preparing our food, wasn't wearing a glove on her hand she was handling our food with but had on a glove while she wrote down someone else's order. Absolutely disgusting! When visiting Bowling Green again, definitely won't be coming back. No bueno!!! read more

I love their food but a little pricey on "extras." Otherwise pricing is very reasonable. They have the best guacamole around and super salsas, but you are limited on choices w/o paying extra. Whereas their food is some of best "Americanized" Mexican food around, almost all of the staff needs some hospitality training! read more

Delicious, fresh, authentic, and affordable. The tinga is amazing on ANYTHING, especially the torta. I love that we've got local, non-chain choices! read more

FANTASTIC!!! Really good burritos, tacos, and chips! If you are looking for fresh Mexican food, this is the place to go. I can not recommend this place enough. Al Pastor, Asada, Pollo, and Carnitas are all amazing! Toppings are fresh and very flavorful. Good selection of bottled drinks. A great place to go. read more

The food is delicious!!! Whenever I miss SoCals Mexican food, I know mexout will give me the fix I need. That being said, the person preparing your food should not be wearing their mask barely on their upper lip, with total disregard to cover their nose. read more

Best Al Pastor I have EVER had! Everything is fresh & comes either from Mexico or your local market. The ladies are always sweet and they know how to stuff a burrito! If you're feeling adventurous, try a sample of the Lingua (I'll let you figure out what it is). You'll throw rocks at Chipotle & Q'doba read more

I still can't believe this place exists. The place is so well runs and designed that I thought it was a chain of some kind at first. But the ingredients are more authentic and better tasting than what if expect out of chipotle or qudoba. So quick and tasty. Certainly my favorite Mexican place in town. Oh and the staff is SO DAMN NICE. It shines through every time I go in. read more

My boyfriend loves "subways for Mexican food" (what we call places like Qdoba or Chipotle or Moes). I'm not usually the biggest fan. But we tried this place last week, and the street tacos were so good, we both wanted to go back today. The restaurant space itself is small and the lunch rush can pack the place, but they handle their line well. I think this food could beat any of the other "subways for Mexican food" in the Olympics. Gold medal for MexOut. read more

MexOut - Shredded chicken street tacos from MexOut - Mexican Near Me - Bowling Green, Kentucky

Some of the best Mexican food in town. This place has a truly unique taste to their food, try the tacos al pastor!

MexOut is the best street style tacos around! Our favorite tacos are from the famed Tacos el Gordo in las Vegas and Cali and these were right up there with them! The Asada tacos were so flavorful and the pollo tacos were boiled to perfection! I highly suggest pairing them with the jalapeño salsa, spicy but full of flavor. The food was great but the service was even better! All the ladies on staff were friendly and smiled the whole time. Happy workers make the food better read more

Probably some of the more "authentic" TexMex style Mexican foods in Bowling Green. Tacos, burritos, etc. Good meats, hot salsas and great selection of bottled Jaritos sodas. Sometimes aqua Fresca available on occasion. Much better than nationwide fast food Mexican chain restaurants. Unfortunately, Customer service is a bit apathetic, but still worth a visit to try the great food. read more

My wife and I consider ourselves Mexican/Hispanic/Latin American food connoisseurs. We have scrounged Bowling Green for the best tacos, and MexOut cannot be beat. Only to top a friendly staff are the neat way their tacos stay together, paired with a great price that can't be beat. For the size of taco and the high quality of its interior, MexOut is a steal. We cannot say enough about it. We feel very strongly about this and we think you will too! read more

Very good food and prices!! Close to my route home. Recommend the nachos!! Friendly staff, and attentive! Will be back, and would recommend!

Growing up in So California, I enjoyed some of the best Mexican food you could find. After trying multiple chains, etc., in the Bowling Green and Nashville areas, it had been years since I had what I consider authentic Mexican food. Once we discovered MexOut, we were thrilled! We go there regularly enough to know the menu by heart and can honestly say there is no longer a craving for true street tacos! We found our "go to" place in MexOut! read more

Such a great, authentic little taco spot to have in BG! Walking in, you encounter fresh meat roasting on a spit that they are cutting from and frying on the stove. The smell is intoxicating and the ingredients are homemade and unique. Very affordable. Will definitely be returning to this spot often read more

Such good Mexican food! The atmosphere and the street tacos are perfect. As for the reviews concerning running out of guacamole, I see that as a positive. It means that it's made fresh in-house every day. Go for lunch if you NEED guac. New favorite spot in BG!! read more

The only aspects that I can criticize about Mex-Out are the seating arrangement and the lack of advertisement. The food is delicious and inexpensive, the service is quick and courteous, and the bathrooms are sanitary. On top of all these details, Mex-Out is really close to home. read more

Absolutely phenomenal authentic/traditional Mexican food! As a girl I was raised up in a majority Hispanic community in south Florida and that meant great food! This restaurant literally took me back to my childhood, where Mexican food was authentic. Great prices, very affordable! If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would! Very quaint little restaurant, reminded me of a little downtown bistro; but the food and atmosphere was perfect! Take a chance on this place! You won't regret it! read more

I ordered a bowl, which they stuffed with rice but skimped out on meat. No grilled onions or peppers and NO GUAC available. How does a mexican restaurant Not have guac? As another reviewer pointed out, for $6 your bowl is not even full! I will give them this, their meats tasted homemade. After mopping the floor they will make your burrito with the same gloves to push the broom handle. (saw it happen to the lady ordering before me) read more
