I've been to countless Publix locations throughout Jacksonville, and this one is my favorite. Unlike others (looking at YOU, Riverside), there's plenty of parking available here, and it doesn't feel like a Drivers Ed course to get in and out of the lot. Located in Fruit Cove, there's a good number of shops and restaurants nearby to knock out those errands or grab some good eats. One thing I've noticed is that the store stays impeccably clean, due to several staff members in the aisles stocking and cleaning throughout the day. The entrance, features, and endcaps highlight all of the weekly BOGO specials, a Publix staple. Not all locations have a dining area to gobble down that Chicken Tenders Sub, but this one does, an added convenience for those on a lunch break. The Deli stays busy, so its best to order ahead via the Publix App, especially when it comes to the Fried Chicken and Subs. The weekends? Football season? Good luck...take my advice, and order ahead. The Bakery is another favorite of mine, my weakness being their selection of seasonal pies, pastries, and cakes. The holidays never disappoint, everything is beautifully decorated and baked fresh daily. I picked up some scrumptious Apple Cider Cake Donuts today that I'll be going back for. From the management to the cashiers, I've never had a negative experience here. Everyone is outgoing and willing to help if I have any questions or can't find a particular item. A big shoutout to Frances, the Store Manager, who is ALWAYS on the floor working alongside the associates and greeting customers, which I've always appreciated! This is my goto Publix near home. Of course there are 2 in the immediate area but for some reason I am drawn to this one. The other one seems to have more chit-chat traffic and when I walk in I usually have a list and I'm on a mission. Decent deli, bakery, and prepared food section. I do like the fact that you can order prepared food - and PubSubs - online now and when you walk in there is a pick up section that mimics Panera rapid pick up. Service of course is consistent and there are many familiar faces throughout - from the meat and seafood department to cashiers to management. read more

The store it's self is great and the staff on the floor are super helpful. What's not so great is the people who make the sandwiches. Every time I've gone in there I arrive early to get my online order and I let them know I'm early no rush/problem. They always have an attitude and say it's not ready yet because it's not your pick up time. I'm aware, I told you that. Usually they roll their eyes or throw the sandwich in the pick up place when it's done and act as if I'm inconvenienced them. It's customer service you just say we'll let you know when it's ready. This will be my last sub from this location. Rest of the store and staff are great, just won't be ordering a sub from the rude ladies at the sub station again. read more

If you are looking for a special cake, I definitely suggest asking Miranda to make it. I called last monday hoping they could make a special cake for my dogs 5th birthday, since he passed away 4 days before his birthday. I sent Miranda some pictures of my dog and she went above and beyond. She made the cake completely by herself (and very quickly!). The cake brought our family to tears and gave us so much joy. This Publix is clean and organized, overall pretty great. Unfortunately, a woman working in the Dely section wasn't as great. She didn't ask what I wanted on my sandwich, when I told her what I wanted she ignored the request and took a shortcut. She just didn't seem like she was willing to accommodate us which sucks considering there was no one in line behind us so there was no need to hurry. Overall she made my sandwich wrong and at beginning she was just assuming what I wanted instead of asking. Will be coming again, just will avoid her line if possible. read more

The male pharmacist was rude and a younger female staff member was very obnoxious laughing in my face for no reason, I never spoke to her.

Outstanding service by Dillon. He found us the flavor of ice cream we were looking for. He didn't have to do that, but he was clearly looking for a way to help a customer. I go to this Publix nearly every other day and have been for years. The only reason I even remotely give this store some stars is because their cashiers are extremely pleasant and make our exits as painless as possible. Also, their previous manager was the best there is. If this review were based solely on the pharmacy and their staff, it would be zero stars. Worst service, zero accountability and make it painful to have to do business there at all. read more

Went to this Publix today for a quick stop to get a few things I forgot. When checking out the lady at the register was asking personal questions about whether or not I've been vaccinated and the importance of being vaccinated. I'm sorry, but her job is to check me out for my groceries and send me on my way. I'll be sure not to go in her line again. By the way, I have autoimmune diseases getting vaccinated really isn't a choice for some people. read more

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake and flowers from this Publix. Our cake was absolutely beautiful! Exactly like the picture showed and was delicious. My wedding guests couldn't get over beautiful our cake was and several said it was the prettiest cake they have seen!! Kudos to cake decorator... I worked with Mary in the floral department to have my bouquet, corsages and table decorations made. If you want someone to really care about what you want and for your flowers to be fresh and beautiful.... This is the place to go!! And if this wasn't enough they deliver promptly and we were surprised when it was the store manager!!! read more

Poor customer service. They would not take a competitor's coupon that was from a store that was right over the county line. And the manager Ginger, gave me the such an attitude. And she didn't care that I passed 2 other locations so I could use the coupon. So I went to another location that was down the road and they were more than helpful.
