This Publix is a really great supermarket. The cleanliness and quality food is enough for 5 stars, but the customer service puts them over the top for me. Every time I've come in the employees are always friendly and helpful. The suds form the deli can easily compete with ones from a sub shop, and less expensive. Also you've got to try their "Chocolate Ganache Cake" from the bakery. You have to order the day before, but definitely worth it! Delicious!!! read more

As it is the holiday season we understand there's a limit on produce but, any discrepancy we got clarification and were still terrorized by a staff member. Micro aggressions are not a pleasant experience when shopping especially for charity. When dealing with food energy is powerful and we pray that no negative energy is transferred to anything being donated to families. Other than the negative experience today the store is set up nicely and the are helpful staff members like Mike in the store. read more

I am in there every day just about. I spend a lot of money there. Today. I inadvertently walked out with my groceries in the plastic carry thing they give you instead of putting it into bags or a cart just a moment of senior spasm. Was chased out of the store that's how much these little plastic baggage things are worth. I guess I would've easily brought it back once I realized the mistake but they don't offer handled bags anymore, which is one reason I am leaving publix and also spoiled milk and missing name brands... After getting to my car post putting all my stuff in a cart I was accused of not paying because someone in the store said they didn't think I paid WTH! I always pay. Ridiculous! No apology no, I'm sorry. No effing nothing. I don't know who said that, but if it was a store employee rest assured I am completely done with Publix; I am a Kroger shopper from now on. Maybe I can get a refund on my Publix bags. Or just walk in and give them away. read more

Originally being from the northeast, I could say this Publix compares with Wegmans for quality, cleanliness and specialty items. By far this has the best selection of beer and wine of all the local supermarkets. They are a bit on the higher price side. Very nice deli, meat and seafood area. Very good dairy section as well. They seem more focused on the store perimeter which is where most of the good food is located. Very nice produce area with many "hard to find" fruits & veggies. read more

First off, I love the buy one get one free sales at Publix. I love the variety of quality food they sell here. As for the Buckwalter location, I love this Publix, the employees are more friendly and helpful than the ones at New River Publix. Even though the New River location is closer to my house, I shop at the Buckwalter location when I need anything including sushi. The sushi chef here is very skilled at making sushi, helpful, and friendly. read more

I love Publix!!! I have been living in the South part time for about 4 years. So when I'm in town I don't do a full blown shopping for groceries. I am a big fan of the big box stores (Costco/BJ's). But as I mentioned when I come down south I'm not looking to stock up. So when I go into Publix it's to purchase what I need for my stay. The store is always so clean and bright. Bakery items are fresh and delicious. They have the best to go foods. Chicken wings are sooooo yummy. They have a little bit of a bite and are great reheated. Even a whole rotisserie chicken is delicious. Across from the hot foods and deli section are salads and everything is fresh and yummy. I have tried just about everything, potato, macaroni, Cole slaw all very good. So when in Bluffton, Publix is the place to go even if you just want to pick up food for the beach. You won't be disappointed!!! read more

Oh I love this Publix. When the new Kroger's opened, I tried it, and although I've gone three or four times, each time the staff is more rude and the food is less fresh. When I go to Publix, they greet me at the door, they help me get what I need, and everything is super clean and fresh. I am a huge Publix customer. Over the years have shopped in Florida, Atlanta, and now in the Bluffton area. This is a very nice store,however their deli and prepared food area is sorely lacking in management and process. Almost one out of two times I go in for either fried chicken, grilled salmon they are out. And this is during the peak times when you would think they would have a process in place to manage their inventory better. Even management of their customers in line appears haphazard. Maybe they are new and have it ironed out the wrinkles, but it is certainly not the publiexperience I have been used to. read more

Love our local Publix grocery store. Their selection is great, offering items that are difficult to find. The bakery items are always delicious,and the made to order specialty cakes, second to none. The wide selection of produce and fresh meats add to the pleasant shopping experience. Sadly the parking lot leaves much to be desired at certain times. read more

The seafood department for Buckwalter site sells bad fish. I purchased Icelandic cod and when I attempted to prepare it the next day, it was disgusting. The ammonia stench was overwhelming. Where's DHEC? I'm an avid fisherman so I know how to properly store fish. I will never purchase seafood from this site again. read more

This is one of the best grocery stores in this area and is one of the better Publix locations that I've been in. Everything is always clean and organized in this store and the shelves are always fully stocked even though the store is always full of people. The employees are caring and helpful and are never in the way of their customers. I come here often enough and will keep doing so for the foreseeable future. read more

This is the best publix in Bluffton! Staff is extremely friendly! The second you walk in the door the customer service employees welcome you! They have the freshest food! Always being stocked! They always have a good selections of fresh produce even in their peak hours! Cashiers are always very nice and make great conversation! They bakery did a fantastic job on a cake I needed in less than 24 hours! The pharmacy is always fast and efficient! I never go to any other publix in Bluffton I don't have the same experience at those publix as I do this one! Keep up the great work! read more
