I will be reporting this to S.C. weights and measures. We bought the meat before we left Hilton Head and froze it and returned to Pa. We're having it today, Father's Day. My wife thought it seemed a little light for basically 2lbs. so we weighed it. We had a second package of this meat and the same result, way off the weight. This is totally unacceptable, especially considering how pricey the food is. I guess next time I go I will have to bring my own scale.

When you enter the store it is clean, the shelves are usually full or being filled and most of all YOU ARE GREETED BY EVERY EMPLOYEE usually with a smile. It is very apparent that ALL the employees in this store enjoy where they work. I have spoken with the manager, assistant managers and employees and have been greeted with a very pleasant hello. If my wife or I need a question answered or assistance finding things the employee will usually stop what they are doing to help us. You are made to feel that no request is too much to ask. Yesterday I spoke with Rob and his assistant and they both went out of their way to accommodate us with a THANK YOU for shopping the store. IT IS A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP. By the way, it is much closer for us to shop the mega store but the experience there is not close to the experience at this store. If you sign up with an acct to get sale items. WHY must you then clip electronic coupons that 69% of the time do not work. Either you get the sale price with the acct or not. Done with their mess and will no longer put up with it. Again today , clip coupon for Sausage only to pay full price when totaled. When it does sometimes work, you cannot tell until you total the bill. Then discounts are applied and takes an accountant to see which items they apply to. GOOD BY KROGER.... Where to begin... where does one begin this review. Hmmm well I was doing my usual…read more#travelinggourmet market tour and looked up this place before leaving California. We found ourselves on the Waze direction turning right down a rather long windy road that looked as if we had inputted the wrong address. Drove up to the Palmetto Bluff Greeter's Cottage... by this time I am FOR SURE thinking I got the directions wrong, yet NO this is indeed located on Exclusively private residential grounds. The greeters were especially nice asked what I was about and I explained that I was looking for the market... at that one lady perked up and excitedly told me about the BEST Chocolate Croissants (that melt in your mouth) at the market. We followed the map they handed me and wound our way through manicured grounds and looming lush Palmetto trees. The market has a gas station as well and is a small high-end kinda 'general store' for the residents. The market, the Montage Palmetto Bluff and maybe 2 other restaurants located on the grounds are open to the public however... imagine if you will a sort of "Pleasantville' or 'Truman Show' neighborhood that is what you have here. Be sure to read your pass that they have given to you... you aren't allowed on any of the roads except for the main roadway. Seriously if you think to go being a 'looky-loo' it feels as if the ENTIRE compound eyes are drawn to you LOL We didn't do this but we did mosey over to check out Montage Palmetto Bluff Resort then high-tailed it out of there.
