Publix is a good grocery store overall, but for me the Deli is really where they shine. They make fresh sandwiches to order, and I like that you get the choice between the regular Publix cold cuts or paying a little extra to upgrade to Boar's Head. I've tried both options, and honestly I do not think the upgrade is really worth the extra cost. The price difference is minimal, so it is not a huge deal either way, but once the sandwich is toasted, it is really hard to tell much of a difference in taste. That kind of made the regular Publix cold cuts feel like the better value to me. Overall, Publix does a solid job as a grocery store, but the deli is definitely one of the best reasons to stop in. If you are getting a sandwich, I would personally save the extra money and just go with the regular meats. That is all.... read more

Greatly enjoy this location. We alter our approach from Veteran's Parkway in order to shop this Publix. In search of some dinner options, and the Publix girl is making Italian hoagies, and other nice options. Really good fresh Italian sandwich and Key Lime pie provide southern treat. read more

I go here often, it is so clean, and wonderful customer service. I also use their app. Mom, hubby and I come often, we share our BOGO. We love their deli, best bakery around, freshest produce, get our prime rib there, and many of fresh seafood! I could go on, and on, and we can find things you can not get anywhere else. Hubby's a Jersey boy can find grocery items he grew up eating, same with me I grew up in Oregon, and I love certain brands. But have grown to love TN or southern products. So fun. read more

Very professional management, and front desk personnel. I have used Instacart, to receive my groceries. Very expensive! Because of negative results with them, I will start driving many miles to buy my groceries, because, from past experience, I find Publix, to be the best grocery store chain, in the Southeast. The store had everything I was looking for some food, and some drinks. But holy smokes it was expensive. I am not from around here but a cherry Pepsi pack should not be almost 10 dollars but it did have a discount so that's good. Initially, tried their salads and they are so refreshing and so so good. Decided to stop in to pick something for lunch, and the "Garlic & Herb Tofu,"caught my eye. Unfortunately. By the time I reached the counter, the lady told me, they were out, however, they did have barbecue and Tex flavors tho. I decided to pick Tex because why not ‍ Ordered in a spinach flavored wrap, and it came with sliced avocados, fresh veggies and vegan ranch dressing. For the veggies, I got; lettuce, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes & green bell peppers. Came home and I drizzled a Garden Goddness (Mediterranean Herbs & Avocado oil) dressing (from another store) and it's a cherry on top good I would rate the wrap 3/5. Even tho it was good, it's not what I wanted in the place, I would still like to go back and try the Garlic & Herb flavoring. Have been here several times while visiting Missy, a friend of 42 years. She goes here when we are in town because Publix is our favorite store in FL. We love the BOGO deals, and competitive prices as well as excellent customer service. We stopped in today to see Tim Bismark, super manager of great store - haven't seen him in 13 years since he managed Publix near my place of business in New Port Richey, FL! Shannon, at customer service desk, took our photo. Even though we visited for only a few minutes, he and Shannon took care of business as needed - getting pre-ordered cakes for two customers and helping another with a return for a leaky Listerine. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. The bean vegetarian sandwich was good and their meat sub. Food selection was a good choice, a little on the pricey side but a nice selection. Employees were friendly. It would help if the employees were all trained on what food they have or don't and the location of the food. Unfortunately the one gal we asked help with on the scooter couldn't help us. The other gal we asked in the sandwich/cheese department if there was any quiche. She said we don't have any and if we did sent us to the bakery dept. I'm soooooo OCD that it's almost embarrassing. I love neatness and organization. I love my closet to be organized according to color and type of shirt, for my pants to be on hangers where the front of the pants and the hanger hooks all face the same direction. I like my stackable items like t shirts, sweats and shorts to be perfectly folded and I even love my pantry and kitchen cabinets to be properly organized into categories and ALL LABELS FACING FORWARD! So it should be no surprise when I say Publix is absolutely my overall favorite place to shop for groceries, and THIS Publix is even more impressive than most! Most of my life people have somewhat teased or even ridiculed me about my need to have things surrounding me in order, but when I walk into Publix it feel not only like they get me... but that I found my people! Granted it was only 8am and the store hadn't gotten busy yet, but it looked like their first day of business, newly stocked and ready for customers. There were little to no items missing down every aisle, in every display case or in most any cooler and there was someone actively restocking down every third isle or so. Labels were facing forward and shelves full of products that were pulled to the front. Clean floor, spotless glass and super friendly staff. Publix is the Chick-Fil-A of grocery chains. It is because they take such care for their appearance and rotation of stock that I trust them so deeply. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] We were vacationing nearby at Wilderness @ the Smokies Resort and I only came in for cooking oil and jelly, but I was so floored by how gorgeous the store was that I walked all around. Arrived late in Sevierville so we did a grocery run close to closing. Although I'm sure all the employees were ready to go home, they never made us feel rushed. The store at this location is always clean, friendly employees and we always find the food items we are looking for. The drive thru pharmacy is a big plus, too! read more

This is a new store, well it wasn't here the last visit. The store is seems a bit smaller than other Publix. There is a deli counter and there was a long line for sandwiches. A nice dining area is just above the entrance. The produce section seems small too. Most it's were pre packaged and prices higher than I ideally pay. No option to buy by pound. For example you can't buy few jalapeños you have to buy a bag full. read more

I have been a fan of Publix for years until now. I don't know what is going on at this particular store, but it's so frustrating when most of the refrigerated items are long past the expiration date. I have not noticed a change in store cleanliness. Friendliness of store staff (including Pharmacy) is hit or miss. read more

As a local resident and Publix fan, I am utterly disappointed with this location. In my opinion the store has poor flow. Once you get the hang of the store, I suppose this could be forgiven, but then you deal with an exorbitant amount of out of stock items or items not carried at this location. It is so frustrating and disappointing. As a frequent shopper to the PF location there are certain expectations that one comes to expect from Publix and that is missing at this location. I have found it difficult to find employees on the floor when needing help and the Meat Dept seems to hide in the back rather than be front and center like they are at PF. I could go on and on, but I have nothing positive to say. Despite the hassle of going to PF it is an overall better experience than Sevierville. I continually have issues getting a sub or food from there deli. So I'm going to post everytime this happens and hope they fix it. Today I went in to the deli. I'm referring to where you can get a chicken strip meal, this is on special mind you. There were no customers or employees at this section so I stood there for 5-7 minutes before a lady from the other side came over and asked if I was being helped. I said no and she preceded to tell me sorry and they are terribly understaffed. I asked for the chicken strip meal if they have strips. She went to the back to check on them and came back to tell me he's just dropping them and they will be 15 minutes. It's 1215 on Sunday and you have this on special. So I go to the sun side and wait in line for another 5-7 minutes behind two people. The line didn't move one time! So I leave once again to take my business elsewhere. I have ordered food from Publix two times recently and both times my order was incomplete. I ordered 10 breaded wings for for my lunch. The first time the shopper did not want to wait the 20min. And the second time she said nothing as to why she did not bring my wings, my lunch. If I were a disabled senior who depended on getting those wings for lunch, I would have starved. It is shameful that you cannot contract with a business that has the best interest of your customers in mind. This new Publix is very nice! It's clear that their focus is on grab n go items and sandwiches. Normally, the bakery, deli, and produce are all in the same area. In this store, the bakery is smaller than the usual Publix bakery and is located in the back left area of the store. The deli and produce are in the front and back of the right side of the store. I don't know if it's because this store was built during Covid but it's the only store I've seen with an organized and roped off sub line. Much less chaotic then the usual sub/deli/chicken section of Publix. I also love that they have an outdoor seating area in addition to indoor seating on the second floor. The indoor seating area overlooks the store while outdoor overlooks the parking lot. Finally, customer service is top notch here. The cashier was telling me all about the new store and made sure to mention the outdoor seating. She also grabbed a coupon for me when she noticed I bought something on sale. While loading up our car, my husband accidentally left a case of water in the cart. He called when we got him and they assured him we could pick it up anytime. The next day we went back and even though a different person was working, they were alerted that we were coming. He even made recommendations for other drinks based on the sparkling water we bought. Last but not least, this new store is just far enough away from the craziness of Pigeon Forge. It's more for locals so you don't have all the tourists with their huge families and multiple shopping carts. So much easier to just get in and out! read more

We live in Florida and shop in Publix all the time so we were excited that this is open. It's super clean, stocked well and the staff is just as friendly and welcoming as they are at every other one. I love Publix, mainly for their deli sandwiches and was stoked when they recently built this location. I've been severely let down since it's opening. If you don't have an hour to wait for a sandwich, you're better off going somewhere else. My wife and I regularly order online and consistently have to stand by the pickup area 20-30 minutes after the estimated pickup time which is typically 45 minutes after we order. I understand being busy but if I'm standing watching a queue of 4 people not move for 20 minutes while 3 employees and a manager are on the line, something must be wrong. read more

We needed to stop for some snacks, so we pulled up to this Publix. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, we were blown away by how Rowan and beautiful this location was.
