So who knew I'd join the bandwagon and become a fan of Buc-ee's! Not to make an unlikely comparison but it's basically the Walmart of fuel/convenience stations. We parked on the Auto side so no idea where the truckers area is but I've never seen so many gas pumps and they were occupied for the most part. #59 was our spot. Oh and there's electric car recharging stations too! Now what stands out most is how much self-service is centric. Employees are present and very helpful, happy and friendly! You can taste test the brisket, fudge and jerky so don't be shy; I sure wasn't! It was all so delicious! There's anything you could want to eat, pickup for the road or drink including a cappuccino! There's a full self-service coffee spot, complete with milk variety, creamers, sugar and plenty of coffee pots brewing! There's ICEE flavors I never heard of as well. There are fresh sandwiches made to serve, packaged sandwiches and pastries! Nevermind the merchandise on hand! Forget something at home, you name it, you'll find it! Oh and the restrooms... such a clean, well stocked and spacious place. Outside of getting some reasonable gas in our vicinity, I got some fudge (PB/Chocolate, Butter Pecan, Rocky Road), warm glazed almonds and a cup of cappuccino! The fudge is so good! Wow, what can I say about the gas station/convenience store that literally has everything?? This is like having a Walmart inside of a gas station, but with better food and snacks. This was my first time at a Buc-ees ever and I was very giddy and mind blown. It was everything I wanted and then some! Honestly, if you have been in one, you have been to them all. I haven't visited a bad location. Like all the others, this location was bustling with travelers looking for the Buc-ee's experience, food, fun, and fast service. This location did not disappoint. My brother had never been to one. I've been to many buc-ee's but this one has to be my least favorite. The food was not the normal flavor as other locations. Also the staff was not nice. It was still fun stop but compared to my normal experience at Bucees it not ideal. It's super packed and it took a long time to even get out of the parking lot because of traffic and how it's set up. Bucees is always busy. Always. So bring your patience. People were waiting for restrooms. A worker told them to pick a door, wait for it to turn green and then go in. There was no reason to have the line wrap around outside which was true. Food line is constantly moving. Just pick something as you walk. Registers go quick too. This particular Buc-ee has the exact same buzz and vibe as the other ones I have visited. This place is more than a gas station -- it's a full-blown travel destination right off I-40 with a huge store, tons of fuel pumps, and plenty to explore. From the moment you walk in, this place feels massive and well-organized, with shelves packed full of snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and Buc-ee's-branded goodies you didn't even know you wanted. The barbecue and brisket sandwiches are favorites, and the snack selection -- from Beaver Nuggets to fresh fudge -- gives you plenty of options to grab for the road. The place is the Disney World of gas stations . The souvenirs are always changing with the seasons. We had to get the spring time tshirt and the nascar one. This particular one( we call the Dollywood Buc-ee) has added new things and made it more roomy. They now have chicken tenders and fries. They also offer beef brisket that is without bread which is nice for when we try to carbs. There never is a wait in line. This was my first Buc-ee's and I will never be the same. I stopped here on my way to and from Asheville, NC, and it felt like stepping into a magical roadside wonderland. Even in the Buc-ee's world, this location is in a class of its own. At seventy four thousand square feet, it has everything you could imagine. Fresh fudge, barbecue, gifts, clothes, snacks, and even bathing suits. It is open twenty four seven and always buzzing. One hundred twenty pumps outside make fueling up effortless. My personal favorites were the Beaver Chips, the Candied Nuts, the Gummy Wall, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites. This visit officially started my obsession with one cute beaver. Now I use the Buc- ee's versions of Yeti and Stanley over the real ones. The seasonal merchandise is epic and impossible to resist. If this is your first Buc-ee's, prepare to be amazed. If you already love Buc-ee's, this one will still blow you away. I cannot wait to return. read more

Is it weird that stopping at a Buc-ees was on my bucket list? Well that's the truth and this location did not disappoint! Clean, friendly employees, and great merch. (Obviously). Filled up the tank and the tummy while selecting from their wide variety of merchandise. If you're military it's like a large exchange. We stopped in the early AM so not too busy. Selected a few items for food and my family and I loved everything. Sausage, Egg, & cheese biscuit 5/5 Brisket Burrito 4/5 Bean potato cheese taco 5/5 Glazed Pecan 5/5 Fried Apple pie 5/5 Salt & pepper jerky 5/5 Korean BBQ Jerky 4/5 Beaver Nuggets 5/5 Hot chocolate 5/5 Restrooms were clean, they use the light system where it's either red or green to signal if the stall is available or not. They have stainless steel pull down baby changing tables and inside the stalls they have hand sanitizer as well as a liquid to clean the toilet seat with if you wanted. This was our first (& 2nd) Buc-ee's visit and neither of us was sure what to expect. Even entry is an experience, we entered on the side with New Year's t-shirts to begin followed by lots of Buc-ee's clothing options from t-shirts to sweatsuits to underwear. With many different themes they are sure to have something you will like. There is also a part with various essentials and snacks. While they carry different brands many items come in a Buc-ee's shape or with a logo. Toward the center is the fresh made food section where there is bbq, burgers, fries, breakfast food, lots of hot and cold beverage options, snacks, desserts, yogurt. I didn't see the salads but I'm sure there were some. Although packed for our first visit the staff was friendly & energetic. And the photo opportunity with Buc-ee himself was fun. Despite the size getting and out was quick moving. There are doors and parking all around as well as instructions on the ground directing vehicles to the major roads near by. Oh, & filling up was easy. Despite the heavy traffic when we stopped fueling up was easy, probably because they had so many pumps. I have never seen that many at one location previously, it was epic. I feel comfortable saying this stop at Buc-ee's was its own touristy visit on our drive home from Nashville & that after this stop I am a fan. read more

Mass efficiency. Each urinal was its own oasis. You step into a cut out and are properly guarded by two walls. No one can peak at what you're working with. As you turn to exit after zip up there is a hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall that is yours. It's waiting for you. Got a $12 blanket. Got an Italian. They really pack it with meat. Well worth the $8.49. The idea here is much like herding cattle. It was amazing to see double the amount of people in a Walmart in 1/2 the amount of space. I always look forward to road trips because I know that I can find my friendly buc-ee's on the way! It always feels like a destination rather than just a pit stop. Unfortunately, this one was not up to my full expectations. The customer service gentleman at checkout was extremely rude and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I even tried to go out of my way to wish him a great day but it was just a really bad experience. The only other person I interacted with was the people at the beef jerky counter, they were super kind, had a huge smile on their face, and was happy to answer any questions I had and I did not feel like I was a burden. The facilities was clean, everything was well stocked, but customer service is big for me and needs to be consistent in order to get a five-star experience. read more

Honestly, worst gas experience I've ever had. I needed to pull in and purchase gas at this Buc-ee's on the way home from Nashville, when I went inside I was met with the worst customer service I've experienced from a gas station to date (And that's saying a lot). I attempted to purchase gas with their tap to pay option as my physical card was not an option. I was informed they wouldn't take cards for gas at the attendance station, and their pumps don't actually accept it despite the fact that they have an as an option. With no signage whatsoever stating that these tap options don't work. I was then instructed to buy a gas gift card, in order to pay for my gas which their options were only 25, 50 and 100, they only have select pumps that even except this card so we had to drive back back-and-forth across the gas station trying to figure out which one was which, and then go back inside because the card they gave us was only accepted inside of the store. All I have to say is do better. read more

Buc-ee's is starting to rule the Interstate! I wanted to stop at Buc-ee's in Sevierville during a recent road trip to check a Tennessee location off my Buc-ee's visit list. This location was in an area that was busy with other establishments nearby. Usually Buc-ee's sits alone on its own landmass. There's just something about pulling off the Interstate and all you see is the Buc-ee's. The layout at this location seemed a little different, but I was okay with it since I knew exactly what snacks I wanted to get. I got a brisket burrito which was good, but for $8.99, a bit more brisket and less refried beans would've been better. The pecan pralines while good, were not my favorite, the peanut brittle is great! Jerky, and beaver nuggets are always good. If you've been in one Buc-ee's you know what you're walking into. Wall- to-wall food, snacks, tchotchkes. This location wasn't as crowded as others I've been too, which on a Saturday was a pleasant surprise. Go just to see what the hype is about. Try some of the snacks, and don't forget to use the clean bathrooms! As a Texan, it makes me happy to see Buc-ee's doing well in other parts of the country. Very big! No wait for gas. No wait for bathrooms. So many food items and swag to choose from. It was pretty busy around 6pm though and there was a line to check out. The beaver nuggets are basically corn puffs covered in corn syrup so they taste like pancake syrup puffs. Fun to try once but very sweet. They also make their own fudge and have many delicious flavors. They had a buy 4 get 2 free deal. Each fudge square was $3.98. The beaver chips were crispy, thick, and greasy kettle chips. We devoured them but I wish they had come warmer. You get a box for only $1.99. I'd get these again. My favorite item I tried was their fresh roasted candied pecans. These were still warm when I dug into them and so sweet, crispy and nutty. I'd definitely get these again. read more

* There is a wide variety beef jerky at Buc-ee's in packages. I used to get it all the time, but it's gotten worse on quality. The last several times I purchased it, mouth drooling till I took a bite, then disappointed because it was so tough I couldn't even bite off a piece. So disappointing when the flavor is good, but you can't eat it because you're in fear of pulling teeth out. On the other hand, I have discovered the jerky in the butcher shop is more tender and fresh. But, you still have to eat it right away, or it'll toughen up and be the same way. Also, it's a higher price. Depending on how much you get, which may not be much at all, you may think you're buying a huge Ribeye steak. lol. My favorite flavor is Cherry Maple, but I also like Korean Barbecue, Steakhouse, and Teriyaki. * Buc-ee's has a fried Apple pie that is covered in cinnamon sugar. I used to like it, but I'm not going to get it anymore. It's decreased in size and quality. It used to be fried perfectly. Now, it seems to fried too much, to the point of having a hard, non-tasty crust. * The sub sandwich is delicious! Not only does it taste great, but it brings back memories for me. It's the closest thing to Kmart subs I've ever been able to find. Besides the blue light specials, that's the only reason I ever entered Kmart. Lol. Yep, I am a fan of Buc-ee's. This location has gas pumps as far as the eye can see. Your typical Buc-ee's with everything under the sun for sale inside and the cleanest restrooms you will find. Our latest discovery is the Brisket Burritos. And of course you can't go to Buc-eel' without grabbing a bag or three of Beaver Nuggets. Who doesn't love a gas station amusement park. There are so many staples and extra goodies for each state. We have to stop at every single one. Let's talk about the restrooms. The restrooms are comfortable, sealed individual rooms. There was a panicked mom yelling outside the man's room asking if her 9 year old son was ok. Yet when I was washing my hands a female attendant yelled man on the floor as a maintenance man walked past me in the women's restroom. So that said, shouldn't the 9 yr old have been with the mom? I had never been to a buc-ee's before and when the opportunity on my road trip came up I said yes here is my chance as they do not have them in Michigan! I was shocked by how clean, nice, organized and efficient it was! From the home goods, buc-ee's merch section the store was beautiful to say the least! The bathrooms so clean you could eat off the floors! Prices I could were reasonable! I got lunch which was a pulled pork sandwich and a small container of chicken salad and a coconut cream pie cup. Everything was delicious! And handy to eat on the go which I learned is the idea with Buc-ee's as the one I stopped at had no tables inside or out to eat at. On my journey I also got a car wash and they had free bug chemical cleaner if you're just stopping through, but they also had a phenomenal car wash, which was the longest by distance I had ever been through and my car looked great after all the bugs on it on my road trip. To say I liked Buc-Ed's was an entertainment as I did end up stopping at another one a couple hours down the road because I knew I was gonna get top quality and a very nice clean bathroom to use on my road trip journey.
