We were staying in Gatlinburg and decided we wanted to take a picnic lunch into our adventures in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park one of the days we were there. I saw that there was a Publix in Pigeon Forge and knew that's where we'd need to go to get our picnic supplies! Because we had flown in (and didn't have picnic basket on our pack list), I knew that we needed to get a small cooler to keep our drinks and sandwiches cool on the warm spring day. Fortunately, Publix had a nice variety of small lunch box size coolers and we found one for a reasonable price that was perfect for what we needed and would collapse down for easy packing to bring it home. We then made our way to the deli and got fresh, deli made sandwiches made with boar's head meats and cheeses. They're fully customizable and we very much enjoyed them! We were also able to grab some fruit, pretzel crisps, boar's head hummus, and bottled beverages to round out our picnic. Everything was great, prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed a beautiful picnic in this beautiful area. One note would be that the deli does get busy. We were there in the ease of spring (ie: no big National Park crowds) and we still had to wait in a bit of a line for our deli sandwiches. So, just something to factor into scheduling. That said, we didn't mind a bit and the sandwiches were worth the wait. Get to it! read more

This is my first time visiting this Publix, and I have to say, even though it was incredibly busy, everyone was so nice, and the employees were very helpful. I went on the recommendation of some family that was also vacationing in the area and was definitely pleased with how well kept it was, and how even with a crowd everything was clean and neat. We had some of their baked goods, which were fantastic as well. Will definitely go again when I'm up in this area! read more

I'm not exactly sure what his title is but he is an incredible ambassador for the brand. One of the best interactions I have had at Publix. I was looking for a quick lunch option that I could grab for my kids that they could eat in the car. I was hoping we'd find pizza slices, but this Publix doesn't have such a thing. They do have fried chicken and sandwiches, though. They also have a sushi section. Luckily, my children like sushi! So we grabbed some grocery store sushi and called it good. This Publix is clean and organized, and has lots of delicious-looking goodies in the bakery section. The self-checkout was easy to navigate, too. read more

We have come to this Publix every time we have come to visit our friends in the area. The initial draw was Manager Tim Bismarck who was the manager at the Publix near my workplace. He was a great manager in FL, and he continued to be great here in Pigeon Forge. His son is now one of the assistant managers. On today's visit we picked up a prescription. It's nice to know that our records are connected wherever there is a Publix - FL, TN and NC! We walked through the store and liked the clean, open, well stocked shelves. I would have bought the sunflowers, but all of us are leaving Sunday. We did buy some healthy snacks for our upcoming road trips: raisins, craisins, and cherries. This store's proximity to the major attractions in the area means that it's often our first stop when visiting the area. The store is clean, easy to navigate, and always well stocked no matter when you're visiting. Visiting the deli for subs or chicken tenders is always an easy meal for a bargain. Had an upset stomach so I decided to go to Publix because they have Gonger Shots for sale 2 for $5 Every Publix I go to is always very clean and lightly lit bright. Big open spaces. Small with a limited selection. Place is a little older and rundown with super tight isles. The two stars is because on top that the place has very inflated pricing. Seed pretty much to be double. No idea if there is any better options but I will try something else next time. read more

Came in to get a few things while on vacation. Easy to get in and out and plenty of parking. Store is clean like most all other Publix. Looking around for some items and asked a few times by a few staff members if I needed assistance finding anything. When I explained, they quickly pointed me in the right direction which helped to save me time and get me in and out. Staff is super friendly and helpful. While on a family reunion in Tennessee, my family and I were in a pinch and needed to put together 28 subs with less than 24 hours' notice. The deli team absolutely came through for us. They were incredibly kind and accommodating. Not only did they take on our large last-minute order without hesitation, but they also went above and beyond by individually separating all the meats and cheeses into perfectly portioned and labeled sections which made assembly so much easier for our group. I didn't catch everyone's names, but I want to give a special shoutout to Arnett, who was especially kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. First Publix I've been to, and wasn't exactly impressed. It was on the small side for a grocery store, and the prices were really inflated. Convenient location right off one of the main drags in Pigeon Forge, so they have that going for them. Figured out later that there's a Kroger a few blocks away. So first of all, we were staying at a nearby hotel and saw this Publix that had good reviews so we went to get a Publix sub. Publix usually has pretty decent subs but this one was worse than others. We asked for avocado in the vegetable sub and as soon as I bit into it I saw this avocado that was brown and bad. The sub overall was okay but I will not be coming back to this Publix as the sub area is also hard to find. We also ordered the sub ahead of time and it took way longer than it was supposed to. I always feel good walking into this Publix. It's big, it's spacious, it's clean, it's got everything. It's in a good location, right off the Parkway, with ample parking. Staff is generally friendly and full of smiles. While not the cheapest place to shop, paying a little more for that "it feels good to be here" feeling is well worth it on a quick grocery run. read more

While on vacation, I decided to treat my son to some of the delicious $5 Sushi on Wednesday. I love this promotional offer & purchase weekly at my local Publix over in Greeneville. I was happy to hear that all Publix offer this on Wednesdays. The variety and the portion sizes at this location were wonderful! We ended up purchasing two of the Crunch Rolls (my personal favorite), the Spicy California Roll and the Crab stick & Cream Cheese Roll. Pretty sure it may be almost impossible to have a bad experience with Publix. Needed a quick meal without waiting hours or sitting in traffic. Decided to stop by the deli to grab tenders. Saw the Quick Bite meal which was perfect--2 chicken tenders, 5 potato wedges (sweet potato) and a Hawaiian roll under $5. I so miss our Publix,and Harris Teeter in the Mount Pleasant area of SC. We have one in Pigeon Forge, which is a ways away from Kodak, and on a busy tourist weekend you can forget about it! Haha... This one is friendly, and has a lot more variety than than the Food City, Kroger off of hwy 66. Absolutely love their deli, and bakery, (Italian breads omg!) the best! And folks are small store friendly, like it use to be. I like variety, and they have much more. Good to see a sign up on Hwy 66 they are gonna be constructing a new publix next to Kroger...YAY!!!! read more

I'm going to start this review saying that Anna from the bakery is a terrible professional. She is not supposed to be working on the customer service. I just left the publix around 1:10pm, I was waiting on the line to get my wrap for 15 minutes when all of the sudden a blonde 'client' cut the line. Anna asked about next in line and the client started to ask a order when I complaining the blonde client cut the line. Anna was mad at ME because client cut the line. The 'client' left the line upset and Anna started taking my order and I ask for chicken tenders wrap and as rude as someone could be she said ' chicken tender isn't ready, you have to wait anyways' and left without taking my wife's order or my order that we were trying to get something else. A guy came to help us and Anna started doing another order, when I saw it was weird, why Anna would take another order and not our order if we were next in line? Then I saw Anna leaving the bakery with a bread, and taking that to who?? Her friend!!! Yes, exactly, the blonde client that cut the line was Anna's friend. Thats why Anna was so mad at me. Anna even followed her friend to the cashier to talk bad about me because I didn't let her friend cut me and other people in the line. Of course I talked to the manager and the manager IS aware of this situation where Anna caused in front of many clients that were waiting on the line, hungry, waiting to get their food. I never had that experience before and was the worst one, been right and employee look at me as I was wrong. Thats unacceptable from a employee working on customer service. read more

Having been to town a few times , we have always shopped at a different, familiar grocery store. Our family has a little dude who is immunocompromised and though we had 0 plans on coming to town, I did need to grocery shop. After shopping at the OTHER establishment where no one was socially distancing, the carts were not being sanitized and the employees were making fun of me for wearing a mask I chose to give Publix a try to pick up a few things I couldn't get at the other store. WOW..... I was so pleasantly surprised at the precautions Public was taking. All employees had masks on, most patrons did as well, the carts were being sanitized, there were "one way" signs on all of the isles. I actively saw an employee wiping the handles of the frozen food sections. Every employee greeted me with a "hello" and asked if I needed help. We will NEVER shop anywhere else when we are down here. Also; their selection of meats and seafood were fantastic. They have a large selection of organic and allergen free goods. The place is clean a their bakery is..... tempting as anything ( oh how I wish I wasn't allergic to gluten) their beer selection was pretty decent. If you are in town SHOP HERE!!!!!!!! read more

She loves cream cheese icing and after a brief search they were one of the few places that had it and could make it on short notice. Besides being a little on the pricier side, this is a fantastic and clean Publix. The store was easy to navigate and literally every employee who wakes by me said hello. It is located right on the main strip in Pigeon Forge so you have to fight traffic to get to this location; however, it is worth it since the produce is fresh and they have delicious bakery fresh breads. Some things I noticed: their papayas are actually ripe and not rock hard, they have a fresh lobster tank, and they sell green tomatoes. read more
