I've been shopping at this CVS for years because it is conveniently on my way to work and close to home. I visit at least twice a month. I have a prescription here and I tend to buy a few things I regularly need here (feminine products, hair products, gift cards, deodorant, refreshments, make-up, etc,.). It seems to me like they always have someone new working behind the register. The lines are typically long and there is never more than one cashier. This bugs the life out of me! The line for paying prescriptions is also painfully long. I understand that this CVS is really busy just because the location is right on a main road near the highway exit, but holy cow, please hire some lively cashiers! Other than that the bathroom usually smells awful but at least the store is always neat and totally stocked up.

This CVS is busier than what I'm used to in other areas; however, they appeared to be well staffed. Unfortunately, one of the staff members, Marlen, ignored and dismissed our request for assistance at the photo center. When we explained that the printer was out of paper, we were told, "Well, then it's not working." When her coworker told her to call the manager to help us, she instead slowly taped up a box that would later sit while we continued to wait for assistance. She then curtly told us to wait which we were patiently doing all along. After repeated requests, the manager finally came and appeared to be unaware of how long we were waiting or what just transpired. We gave him a quick update, and he assured us that he would have a discussion with her. Marlen continued to dart her eyes in our direction while we were there. The manager printed our pictures and personally checked us out at the register. Overall, it was an uncomfortable experience; and although the manager was helpful, I will not be returning to this location again. I can purchase the same products in a different environment where my money may be better appreciated.

Used to Be the Best Cafecito in Town... Now It's Gone…read more I've been coming to the Café at the Publix on Bird Road and 78th Ave for years. Hands down, they served the best cafecito in Miami. My go-to was a cortadito, rich, strong, and perfectly balanced. I'd stop by every week without fail, sip my coffee, chat with the staff, and do a bit of shopping afterward. It was a comforting routine. Miami culture at its finest, tucked inside a grocery store. A few weeks ago, I walked in like usual and found the café closed. No warning. No explanation. Just gone. I'm genuinely disappointed. It wasn't just about the coffee. It was about the experience, the people, the familiar corner of comfort in the middle of my week. If management is reading this, please reconsider. You didn't just shut down a counter. You closed a little part of the community. Bring back the café. Miami needs it.

I have been shopping at Milam's Market in Miami Springs for years, but my recent experience was…read moredisappointing. Something seems to be amiss in the meat department. Traditionally, the cuts displayed at the full-service meat counter are noticeably thicker and of a different quality than those found in the self-service refrigerated cases. Lately, however, the cuts at the meat counter appear to be the same thickness and presentation as those in the self-serve display, which diminishes the value of purchasing from the service counter. Customer service was also lacking. The employees I encountered appeared unhappy to be assisting customers. There was no greeting, no smile, and the overall impression was that customer questions were an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to help. In addition, I asked a stock employee in the ice cream aisle about an advertised sale. Even after I showed him the store flyer, he seemed unfamiliar with the promotion and responded that they "must not have it." There was no attempt to verify the information or help locate the product. The interaction left the impression that he was completely unaware of current store promotions. Milam's has long been known for its quality products and neighborhood service, which is why this experience was surprising. I hope management takes a closer look at the meat department and customer service standards so the store can maintain the reputation that has made it a Miami Springs staple.

It's disappointing because this store used to set the standard for treating customers like family. The biggest issue is the deli and sub department. The employees often seem more focused on chatting with each other than preparing customer orders in a timely manner. If orders consistently can't be completed by the scheduled pickup time, Publix should either extend the estimated pickup window or improve staffing and productivity.
