This Publix is in the heart of North Beach. There is customer parking at street level underneath the store. You reach the store via an escalator. Once you are in the store, it seems to be a fairly standard Publix. We basically shopped here for breakfast items to cover us for 3 days. They seemed well-stocked with most standard grocery items. The pharmacy is at street level and separate from the rest of the store. I only know this as I saw it on my way in. If you are staying in a hotel in this area, it is a good place to shop. read more

Another classic Publix experience. Well laid out and staffed. Best grocery options for blocks.

This Publix is my go-to when I'm running errands in Miami Beach. It is not as large as most of their other stores, but I don't mind because I can get done with grocery shopping quicker.This is a 2-story store. You can take the escalator up or the elevator. The elevators are extra large to fit you and your cart inside, plus one other person and their cart and whoever else tries to squeeze in. There is a huge open air undercover parking garage attached to the store. It is nice not to have to park in the sun. Sometimes, this store is out of stock of my "buy again" groceries because it is smaller and doesn't have the space. But they have a well stocked produce area as well as the meat department. It works when I just need a few things. I also like that they have Starbucks there. It is nice to sit down and have a Mocha latte. You could shop in the Publix Bakery section and enjoy a guava pastelito with your coffee. They also have a liquor store with a good selection of brands. It's nice to have many options in one place. It is also in a convenient location on MB at 67th and Collins. read more

Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. This particular Publix is a great supermarket option if you are in the Miami Beach, Florida area. Publix has a lot to offer a supermarket and there are a lot of reasons to justify why Publix is the top of the supermarket game. Someone said that Pub subs were superior to Subway subs - This rattled me to my core, because I hold Subway near and dear to my heart! So we walked straight to the sandwich counter. Right off the bat, I noticed a major difference. In the SERVICE. This guy had so much personality. Once he got us laughing, a fat grin spread across his face; he explained his goal to make all visitors smile before they leave. Why was this interaction so wholesome and genuine? Is this the norm at Publix? Plus, Publix slices their meat and cheese fresh daily! Options even include Boar's Head products. We got toasted Italian bread overstuffed with chicken tenders, veggies, and Boar's Chipotle Gourmaise. Simple, yummy, hearty, and affordable. This one sub could've easily filled up 3 stomachs. The quality, taste, and portion definitely beat Subway's.  After securing our log of a sub, we wandered the aisles. There's a wide selection of snacks, drinks, and household items - anything you'd expect to find at a general grocery store. Service at the checkout was meh, but that's okay. I came on here to shout out this Publix because now that we've moved to Broward there is no Publix just as close and the one near us doesn't have a Starbucks :( I loved walking from the building to this Publix. It's very easily accessible and since there's a lot of foot traffic cars expected and are not moving very fast. Although they were often out of a lot of stuff due to their proximity to one of the largest beach parking lot in the area, they almost always had what I needed, and the staff was very friendly. Plus the drinks at the Starbucks made it all worth it. The store layout is as every other Publix is and makes things very easy to find. I will miss it! read more

If I could give this pharmacy no stars I would. I think it's ridiculous and super unprofessional to leave a prescriber whose trying to call in medications for a canine patient. This patient has very violent seizures and and needs this medication. Pharmacist as a whole need to do better because there's no reason I should be put on hold and have no one come to the phone for almost 15min. The pharmacist mark finally came to the phone and didn't even apologize for the long wait time. I understand we are all busy but we to do a better job at attending to our costumers. So sad that all of Miami Florida is filled with a lazy labor force that doesn't even speak English. Today Tardine, a Publix employee stationed at the self check out area. I struggled almost the entire time of my check out process and not once did she bother to walk over (just a few steps) to help me or support me. She gazed off looking so bored at her job that is is disheartening, sad, pathetic. Why is she employed here at Publix? Not only was I already doing her job, but it never once ocurred to her to help. When I finally called her over to help me, I was met with attitude and she slammed down the scanner she used to scan the item I was having trouble with. How does a liquor store not have vermouth and how is it possible that the persons working there not know what vermouth is?

If you don't eat spicy and fried food stay away from those wings. That was our first time buying them because they didn't have the ones we usually purchased but we got sick after eating those fried chicken wings for dinner. Don't get me wrong, I love Publix, their service, the people, the quality of the products and all the things they do for the community but after getting so sick I will refrain from buying that again. Hopefully the store implement a plan to prepare more rotisserie chicken because usually they run out. Thankful for their friendly service and great commitment to our community. read more

The good: I came here often during my Miami vacation. I liked that their bakery had fun desserts like tres leches. Their seafood selection was nice. Everything was well organized and easy to locate. They have a hot food bar area and they sell a lot of pool floaties outside for the beach. There's a Starbucks right outside the market. The outside looks small but the inside is as big as any other supermarket. The bad: The deli area had numbers you could pull to order stuff but it didn't seem like they were calling out numbers or using it despite that fact that there were patrons pulling the ticket and waiting. The interesting: This place is located upstairs and has a 1st floor parking garage. They have both an elevator and escalator to get upstairs. The outside architecture looks modern. They don't have Publix supermarkets in the city I am from so it was nice to explore different generics and products from here. read more

I will take a picture of Talisha the next time I'm at The North Shore Publix Deli. But, I just want to say that I only write reviews for people who deserve my time. Talisha deserves my time. She always greets me (and other customers) with a smile and "how are you today?" She always repeats the order back to make sure she heard and understood to get it accurate. She is generous with portions, and a roll on the side. Talisha also smiles and says, "thank you, and have a nice day/afternoon." It's Talisha who takes the initiative; steps up, when no one else will, to pleasantly take a waiting customers order, even when she's working at a different station in The Deli. I truly value, appreciate and acknowledge people like Talisha because she has an intrinsic value for wanting to do an excellent job and provide exemplary customer service, all with a genuine smile. If Talisha worked for me, I would gladly help her along in her career since her workplace behaviors clearly reflect the core Corporate Values and work ethic that represents the Publix brand as a true "Ambassador" of customer service! The cashiers, with the exception of one, always greet you with a warm genuine smile and are cordial and polite. There is always plenty of parking and you can get in and out very quickly. The hours are the best! I like the liquor store and pharmacy as well. Everything is so convenient. My only criticism is, anyone working in a direct customer contact position needs to speak English. A man in Seafood got frustrated with because he could not understand what I was saying, even using my hands to make it simple. He acted as though I should speak Spanish because he does/did. This is unacceptable for a Publix employee. But, after a while, he managed to get my order right, but not after spending way too much of my time. ****Review for Publix and Starbucks**** This Publix is a quick drive from my home and is quite new...they have covered parking as well as an open lot too and is super easy to get in and out. I believe it's around 3 years old as the old one was super old and small with little parking and patterned after the original Publix layouts so they tore down the old one and built this from the ground up. There's a serperate liquor store as well as a pharmacy on the 1st floor with special labled parking for pharmacy patrons. Super convenient. They recently added a Starbucks right outside the main entrance of Publix on the second floor and it was the best decision for sure; prior to Starbucks, they we selling ice cream and other snacks, but with the change-over, this place is busy from morning till night. My experience at Starbucks: I've had great drinks and not so great drinks but overall, if you're not happy, they'll re-do it for you. On one occasion, I ordered a Praline Frap and they needed to do it over twice until the 3rd time. The young lady's work was careless and so sloppy. But hey...if it's not done right, then send it back and that's exactly what I did. The manager or supervisor said he'd make it for me if it wasn't done right after the 3rd time. The Strawberry Acai drink was amazing. Not so heavy and very refreshing. I've had different teas at different Starbucks, and it's always hit or miss. I reccommend ordering your teas without ice, and then getting a cup of ice on the side. They take the concentrate, add so much water, and when you get it, it's only part of the tea and your cup is already 3/4 filled with ice so you're left with hardly any tea! This happens to me in Aventura all the time. (2nd floor by the movie theater) As far as this Publix goes, everyone is super friendly and the isles are always well stocked. I usually go around 10pm and that's when they'll start stocking up the shelves for the next day. The only thing you may miss out on at that time are their "Prime" chef cut steaks and freshly made sushi. They still give samples at the deli when you order your meat or cheese. If you take something home and find that it's not what you've expected, they'll take it back and refund your money with a receipt or give you a gift card for the same value if you don't have it. For the North Beach Area, this is the only place to shop for groceries, hands down. Good customer service and they have everything. read more

This evening at 9:10pm I went to pick up Some groceries. The escalator was broken and there was a long line for the elevator. I went to walk Down the stairs. There were caution wet floor signs at both tops of the stairs. The right side was visibly wet all The way down. The left side had a woman wearing a Publix uniform a quarter the way down. I asked her to please excuse me several times - she didn't look up. When I said pardon me ma'am, as I descended the only dry part of the stairwell - she took her dirty mop and water in a sweeping motion and splashed me with her dirty mop and water several times. Hopefully you can address this with your staff. My grocery experience should never be like this I live here and I've never experienced anything like this at this store or in my life. I probably should have called the police. I came home and showered instead I'm disgusted. read more

This review is only for the rotisserie chicken. I used to love the rotisserie chicken at Publix, especially now that they offer it Organic. But I'm really disappointed in the taste. It used to be so juicy and tasty but it just doesn't anymore. It's always dry and somewhat flavorless. I wish they would work on improving how they cook them. The location however and overall store gets 4 stars. Always clean and a pleasure to shop there. I would give 5 but I've asked several managers there to order a particular product many, many times. I appreciate the effort they make of having the cut up fruit and sandwiches right when you walk in. However. What a mess. It's painful. It's just not easy. It's a shlep. The produce and meat products and workers are all over the place. That being said, I go I shop and I do my business. I have memorized the aisles so I just keep my head down and put my energizer bunny rabbit on and scoot my way through my shopping. I try not to ask questions... I highly recommend going to Surfside where the gentleman working there will smile and offer any assistance he could possible obtain. Maybe it's the fact that it's in Miami, maybe it's the fact that I'm on vacation, maybe it's because my vitamin D levels are returning to normal or maybe it's all of that and more. But shopping at Publix is just a joy. Specifically this one in north beach. Going for groceries here doesn't even feel like a chore. This place has everything I need and then some. Superbly hygienic and clean, well stocked with everything and in every department and really friendly, helpful workers. Not once have I been disappointed by anything I've bought here or by an employee. There is a full liquor store on the premises as well. And if you make some regrettable choices due to said liquor store, they have a full service pharmacy. Plus, there is a Starbucks in the lobby. Need I say more??? Excellent bakery selection! The mini cannoli are delicious as well as the chocolate covered strawberries. Very reasonably priced at .89 for mini cannoli and .85 for chocolate strawberry. Salad bar and deli was always filled and fresh. Stopped in about 5 times for lunch during my week long stay because the food was always fresh and service was friendly. read more

This review is about the horrible service in the pharmacy at this Publix location. The pharmacy closes at 6pm. I came at 5:45pm, running from Urgent Care in pain with open burns on my body. I had a prescription for an antibiotic cream Silvadene and an Amoxicillin. Two simple medications that were on the shelf there. I didn't need any consultation, just wanted to buy those two medicines. There were two patients in front of me, who have been already seen. The pharmacist Marsha Bloomfield refused to sell me those medicines saying that she wouldn't be able to fill in my prescription by 6pm. I guess she really wanted to go home and did not want to sell me the bottle of cream lying on the shelf behind her. Isn't the pharmacy supposed to be open till 6pm, not untill 5 or 5:30? And I didn't even come at 6pm. I came there at 5:45pm. I will never use Publix pharmacy again. read more
