I've had some pretty bad luck with this location my last few visits. I picked up an online order for live lobsters back in February and when I opened the box later that evening to cook them they were dead. I went right back to the store for a refund. That was not a pleasant experience as the manager was not even aware that his store sold live lobsters, I had to explain how you can order online and pick up in store. I finally got my money back after they re-weighed them. I tried again in August and ordered a couple of lobsters on line. I got the confirmation email that the say had arrived and the lobsters were ready for pick up. I go to the store and there are no lobsters anywhere to be found, no one can find them and I go home empty handed and my special evening ruined. Another time I bought a boston butt to smoke and when I opened the package the smell was of spoiled meat, gross. I went right back to the store for a refund and they told me I could grab any size butt for the same price. Nice. I grabbed a new, bigger one, opened it right in front of the manager to smell and it was the same spoiled smell, he didn't even want to smell it himself. Once again I went home empty handed. My wife does the weekly shopping and is happy but I'm 0-4 on my special trips. read more

Ok, so times have changed and now we live with this COVID-19 that is a real test for all of us specially the food industry. My last review of this Publix was eight years ago and main thing didn't like about this location was the terrible traffic getting in and out of shopping center and it's parking hasn't gotten any better, but with chame of times will focus on business itself. This Publix is small and doesn't have a pharmacy like all the new ones, but generally has just about everything you need when out shopping for groceries, place is always kept very clean and there is never a lack of employees stocking shelves. Their seafood department is well stocked but most fish don't seem as fresh and probably frozen. Bakery is one of the things I love as they always have freshly baked Cuban bread and their pastelitos, donuts and variation other pastries are excellent. Staff at this location are always super friendly and always smiling no matter how much pressure is put upon them these days. Overall it is my pleasure to update my old review and credit were it's due. read more

This is based on service provided at the Deli department. The quality of the products we all know it. Hence, the 2 stars are due to the service. I believe his name,al older man, is Jose. Maybe Jesus. I am not sure now. This was the experience. I placed an order online for two subs: One Chicken Cordon Bleu and one Mojo Pork. I wanted all of the veggies on the side, no mayo on the Cordon Bleu and honey mustard on the Mojo Pork Sandwich. (I am attaching a picture of my order). When I arrived, although the order should have been ready, the employee had just grabbed the receipt. But that's ok; I am able to understand that. They were probably very busy right? He struggles to read/understand something for about 2 mins and then I approach him letting him know that most likely that was my order so I could explain it to him. So I did. First, he did not understand what I meant by all the veggies on the side, as the veggies for both sandwiches in a separate container. They have done this for me a million times at different Publix Delis. I told him to please try not to get too much of the skin/fat of the Mojo Pork; when I bite into those things..ughghh. Then I told him about the sauces I wanted and stepped away from the counter just so he would feel more comfortable. After a while I give him big thanks with the biggest of smiles, I'm not a rude customer at all, and left the store. When I get home both the sandwiches had mayo, lots of it; no honey mustard on the Mojo Pork sandwich and about half the meat portion was only skin/fat. Really? I did not go back for at this point I was starving and the whole point of ordering online is to get the food faster. Never, ever, going back to this Deli. I normally get about two sandwiches weekly; for sure it won't be happening at this Publix. So crestfallen; I had to write about it. read more

Its a Publix just like any other. What's worth writing about is their employees. Everyone I've EVER encountered here is so friendly and so willing to serve and help you with a smile. The deli workers that give not one, but 2 or 3 pieces of whatever you're buying as they're cutting it; they don't have to do that. The bakery lady that when I asked her to slice up a loaf of bread she did, but noticed it had too many holes, so decided to grab another one from the back and slice that one so I wouldn't get the one with so many holes. Again, she didn't have to do that! I wouldn't have noticed till I got home. And the cashiers that tell me what's on sale and look for coupons in their little mags to scan them for items I might have. Nope, they don't have to do that either. I should be the one trying to save $. And lets not forget the guy that always fills up a balloon for my son so I can shop in peace. Priceless! Staff is friendly and store is pretty nicely stocked. Cold cut selection on the isle (not the deli) is pretty bad. Missing all the best choices and brands and not cause they are out but cause they don't even carry for some reason. Hot food choices are pretty good but staff in deli is always arguing between themselves about personal matters and looks like they avoid helping people just so one of the others can. Also missing baggers. Either the cashier has to bag your stuff or you end up doing it yourself. A little frustrating especially when on your way out you usually see a few employees that are supposed to be bringing carts back on their phones outside or talking to friends. This location is right next to my house but most of the time leads me to go a little further to the next location on 152nd and 157th. read more

I just came out from this publix, I needed to return these items (total cost according to the system $20 and change) and the manager JENNIFER simply said to me to come back tomorrow morning when another manager is in charge. Reason given: the amount of return was "too much". Really? For those checking my profile know that I'm hard to rate 1 star unless something really bad happens or stupid (like this right now). Make sure to remember this name JENNIFER, for her $20 is "too much" for a Publix under her supervision as a manager. Next time I will take a picture of her to post it. I come to this Publix almost everyday for the past 12 years everyone is friendly and helpful except for one of the elderly managers with Purple hair named Maria. I stopped saying hello to her since she made such an effort to ignore me and look the other way every time I would try to say hello, she might be burnt out and ready for retirement. As for the Bakery!! This is probably the worst bakery in the history of bakeries. No variety!! Same cakes, same crap. They constantly change the dates on the sticker price to make the items seam fresher than what they are. Not the first time I buy a molded dessert. Nothing is fresh everything is frozen. I come to this Publix at least once a week because I have to kill some time while my son is tutoring. They only thing disappointing is there parking and there bathrooms. I have never been to a Publix that has been dirty or is lacking any products that I'm looking for. There is always a manager at the front of the store greeting you and they are always eager to help you find whatever you are looking for. The bakery is one of my favorites today I saw a few new things like cookies that were made at there bakery that are vegan.. Love that they have so many publix brand products that are organic as well as affordable. They also have great recipes around the meat department that are quick and convenient. Shopping is definitely a pleasure at Publix. read more

This Publix is the Stepford Wives of grocery stores. I know that Publix strives off of good customer service, but this store knocks it out of the park. There's not one employee that does not greet you or offer assistance. I've had team members actually stop what they are doing to walk me to the product I was looking for. Now as for the inventory I don't really care for what they carry at this store in particular and the layout is odd. I do come here often but only because my sister lives in the gated community across the street. I will continue to come here not just because of the convenience but because of the employees. Bought a Reese's peanut butter cup here once and opened it on the way to car and it was nasty!!
