I noticed a simple online order pickup area at the front of the store. All the items on the shelves were faced and saw a manager checking them. This is a wonderful Publix and very popular the day before Thanksgiving, we stopped in to pick up a few last minute items before the holiday. The store was a little crowded as you'd expect but well stocked and there was lots of staff on hand to assist and ensure everything ran smoothly - I agree the parking lot is a little challenging but manageable if you're paying attention and you definitely need to watch out when backing out of your space, pedestrians and shopping carts are everywhere. This is the closest major grocery store to the campground we are staying at although it's quite the drive I prefer shopping at Publix so I was happy to find them here... read more

This large and clean Publix sells the Happy Dad seltzer in only the Big Poppa size. The 3 flavors for sale are fruit punch, grape and mixed berry. Wish they carried the 12 pack. The deli sells Boars Head breakfast sandwiches too! This store gets very busy so go early. They also sell bait and ice. read more

Sept 2022 We were on vacation in Marathon, FL (the keys). I stopped in to pickup some groceries for making breakfast, and lunch. The butcher was very helpful. They cut a roast down for me and put it through the tenderizer. The store was clean and well laid out. The only problem I ran across was a language barrier. I asked 3 employees where a product was and they didn't understand English enough to understand my request. A customer passing by directed me to where it was in the store. Publix prices are on the high side. I went over to Winn Dixie a couple days later and they are somewhat priced more in reality. A star deducted for 3 employees not being able to help. I saw Dr Rijal today. I am always so nervous at the dentist! From my check in the staff made me feel so welcomed. The Dr came in explained the health of my teeth and I was able to confidently book my return appointment. The office is so nice and new, much better than my last dentist office! read more

The keys doesn't have many grocery stores options. It's basically Winn-Dixie or Publix. And I am not a big fan of this Publix. It is always super crowded, no matter what time you come by. Parking is crazy. And I also find the aisles to be very tight. There are some good things about this Publix though. It is organized, well stocked , and convenient. 3 stars. read more

I always enjoy going to Publix when I'm in Florida. The best is that they actually have people who bag your food for you!! Great selection of anything you're looking for. They also sell alcohol here, so you do not have to make another pit stop. The only con I can think about is the parking. It can't be helped though. This was my first time stepping foot in a Publix grocery store and I wasn't disappointed. Ample parking and friendly employees, too. The grocery store is clean, organized and has a pretty good selection of fresh food. The bakery has beautiful cakes as well! Another Yelper had noted in a previous post about English language barriers and another grocery store in comparison to Publix. I don't care what language you speak, good customer service is universal. ¡Amo lenguaje español! J'aime la langue française ! Ich liebe alle langauges!! So, be cool and don't review a place because of your inability to understand something. We were all children once and (hopefully) have been educated. This Publix is very well stocked, I mean they pretty much have everything you could possibly imagine or want. When you order a sub online or through their app, it is always ready on time, the deli staff is amazing except for this one lady who could be somewhat rude but she makes good sandwiches so I'll deal with it. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the registers are so slow, I don't know what it is about this place but it doesn't even have to be busy and the lines just get backed up. read more

This review is based entirely on the pharmacy department. In the many years that I've been shopping at Publix, I've never had such an impersonal bordering on unpleasant pharmacy tech. There was no line , no one waiting and yet she still seemed like she was doing a favor waiting on me. I was given zero information on the medicine she handed me, yet I was still given a choice on the touch pad of @i declined counseling " or " I accepted counseling ". I was offered no counseling or even a thank you when I checked out. I needed nausea medicine and was told aisle 10. After looking for a while , I sent my husband to ask for more details. They narrowed it to the right side of the aisle. No kidding, that's the side with the medicine. I won't be using this pharmacy again. read more

The store was busy! Of course we were they there week of Thanksgiving. Day before Thanksgiving, we stopped to pick up items for dinner. We had heard good thing about their key lime pie. Unfortunately there wasn't not a one in the case. Disappointed, we headed to check out. I was still looking, my husband wanted to escape the chaos. I needed flowers for a small wedding ceremony we were having and the local florists were all booked. We went to Publix in Marathon and Manuel in the produce department was so helpful. He ordered flowers for us that were beautiful and I was able to make small bouquets that came out great. It was such a pleasure dealing with him. read more

Went Here the other day for Pub-Subs, and had a fantastic experience even under a rush our sandwich maker did a fantastic job and the subs were fantastic. I wish I could give this Five stars however the condiment and and utensil station was not restocked. Everything was great until at checkout there was an elderly worker named SANDY, she was catching the attention of a latina worker and refused to call her by her name. She instead called her attention by screaming, "CUBA!" She did this knowing more than half the staff is latino. It isn't an excuse that she didn't know her name, considering the fact they wear name tags all day. An uncomfortable situation knowing that I, myself, am Cuban. I adore Publix! It is one of my favorite tourist attractions! I have it on my to-do list everytime I'm in Florida and make multiple stops during my stay. This review is site specific and focuses on the Publix pharmacy. I got very very sick when I got off the plane in Key West Florida. By the time we drove to Marathon I was in serious shape. At midnight thirty,we rushed to the ER and I got a diagnosis, shots, but no medicine - because they didn't have any. But, that's a whole 'nother review. Fast forward 8 hours when I went to Publix to fiil my presciption. Now, I should NOT have been out of bed, but if I don't get this medicine, I'm not going to get better. We're talking very sick. The pharmacist takes one look at me, asks me some questions, and calls the hospital to tell them that she thinks they misdiagnosed me. So, based on her information, the hospital decides that the pharmacist is probably correct and changes my diagnosis and medication, via telephone. Like I said, whole 'nother review. At this point, I was sure that I was going to meet my "Maker" sooner than I had hoped.I started the medicine whilst still in store. Had a problem with my insurance. Pharmacist told me not to worry about it, go to bed, and we'll work it all out in a later. I follow her orders. I slowly recover. Pharmacist calls me the next day to see how I'm feeling. She keeps in touch. How awesome is that? When I return to Publix a few days later, she was so glad to see me that she jumps from behind the podium, out of her office and gives me a big hug. I started to cry. I cannot imagine what would have become of me had I not met her. She went above and beyond her call of duty and I am so lucky that we crossed paths. Really folks this is the only place to shop in Marathon. There is a Winn Dixie, but really who goes there, it smells from the time you walk in the place. Publix is always clean, stocked and the employees are always friendly. And they all can speak English, you won't get that in the WD. They have a really great deli, Boars head meats of course and a great selection of cheeses. There is a great wine department as well as beers from around the world. read more
