For a publix smaller than the ones I've gone to in Augusta and South Carolina, I was surprised this one had much of the items I always look for in stock. For example, their Ghughes sugar free sweet chili sauce is such a rare find in most Publix I've visited, but this location had plenty of stock. When it came to chips like the chocolate rice cake minis, it's another item I deem hard to find, but there were plenty in stock here! Overall, the produce section and bakery looked fresh and pretty stocked when I checked in the evening. Their facilities were pretty clean and employees seemed friendly & helpful. There is also a Tesla charger sharing the same parking lot, so great opportunity to charge your Tesla while grocery shopping or kill some time in Publix while charging. read more

The manager and other employees are professional and friendly. I especially like the manager who tries to assist shoppers with their service needs. Produce is fresh and if something is not fresh, I have not had an issue returning it. I have shopped at the Publix on Flat Shoals Pkway, and Publix on Panola Road is hands down, the best! read more

This place is the cleaniest Publix I have ever been in. The sandwich station is in an assembly line and I love it. They are quick and efficient. The ambiance is very clean. The manager was on the spot to help a customer that needed help and was very professional with her. read more

This review is specifically for the Deli. I visited yesterday for groceries and saw that the Deli has a vegan option (turkey club) using light life bacon, tofurky turkey, and follow your heart cheese. However, there were a few problems with this vegan option. First, they were out of vegan ranch, second if I didn't request that my sub be toasted then the vegan bacon would've been uncooked which is highly advised against according to the instructions light life provides. Finally, if the vegan ranch were available I'm not sure if that would've made the sandwich taste better. Honestly, it just didn't go together. I suggest finding another alternative for the cheese option, maybe a vegan provolone or anything but cheddar. Also, substitue the lightlife bacon for their tempeh and please be aware of the instructions for any plant based meat before throwing it on a sandwich. Outside of this inconvenience at the Deli, the store itself is great. read more

The speed at which the employees at the sandwich making stand is beyond unacceptable I watched two employees literally move the same speed as molasses making subs with absolutely zero urgency with a line thats almost out the main door. There's no way that a manager here could look at that and say this is OK. Do better public. read more

Not sure why this Publix is so lowly rated. Whoever said this location makes the best sandwiches and gave Publix a 3-star doesn't seem to know how to do reviews... We were here to pick up sandwiches instead of getting bojangles or drive-thru. Thanks Publix team!!! read more

So each and every time I come get to get fresh slices deli meat no one is available it's a 20 to 30 min wait unacceptable every Publix store in Georgia has exceptional service except this one it's 8:37 pm I was told that it would be a while before anyone could help me because they only have 3 people close tonight well a young man who's going is new by the name of Blake he was amazing he was so nice and apologetic for the time in which I had to wait he truly changed the 1 star that I initially started with to the 4 stars you see above he definitely is an asset to this store that's needs so much improvement for anyone in management get it together it's not the Publix brand being represented read more

This review is for the Deli section. No one and I mean no makes a deli sandwich likes Publix. I'm not sure what they do but it's sooooooo good. The line is always long but hey I don't mind waiting. The boarshead meat is a must. The cuts are always thick and the Swiss cheese upgrades the sand which. When I visited on NYE 2021 everyone was stocking up for their home parties that night. The ladies begin the counter were cranking on sandwich after sandwich. Something so basic makes me So happy! read more

Ordered three subs online to be made at 6:30, wasted my time and had to wait all the way until 7:15. Also my orders were ALL WRONG. Like every one had the wrong meat and sauces. I used to work at publix myself and this is BY FAR the WORST PUBLIX ive ever been to. read more

This Publix is the worse ever. Waited over 30 minutes for chicken and a sub sandwich. Please do not go here if u are in a hurry. While in line one employee took a break and left a whole line in the process.please call and complain to management about this treatment of in person customers, online orders should be processed differently and in store customers should be prioritized. read more

Danielle in the deli department made me and my kid the best Italian sub we've had in a while. The line was long as per usual but she took her time with every customer. Making sure everyone had their sandwich just how they like it. She was smiling and kind and also efficient. We'll definitely be back to see Danielle! read more

I came to the store to order some chicken from the hot bar and was not serviced. I waited in line 7 to 10 mins and no one greeted me. A customer behind me had to find an employee. Thankful someone came to help. All of the items on the bar looked old and a fly was circling over the food. I asked to speak to a manager, Nick Sewell. He states the cook was on a smoke break but will me willing to drop fresh chicken. I asked could he assist and he stated he was off. This is not the Publix way. No, I don't think Nick should work while he is off but the situation was handled nonchalantly. This is not the first time at this Panola location there had been no one working the hot bar. read more

Was there today to buy a few things. I remember the days when you would go into Publix and always receive friendly courteous service. Well, I guess times are tough and it's hard to find good help these days. The cashier was a young girl who looked miserable and never opened her mouth once. No hello from her or any kind of greeting, and not even a thank you once I paid and got my receipt. To top it all off, she had an earpiece in her ear and was talking on the phone the entire time she was ringing me up. It's sad to see how much the quality of service has declined over the years. It's like that most places I go now in this area. It may be time to move. read more

Ordered my sandwich online like the other patrons ahead of me and it suppose to be ready at 835p. It's 20 minutes later and my sandwich and the other 5 people in front of me who ordered online sandwiches are NOT READY!!!! This is terrible management and preparation! The employees don't even care. Yeah not again. Too bad I paid online read more

I was in line purchasing a few items which one was an anniversary card for my wife . Publix was the first store I've seen with Lesbian cards and I was excited to purchase this card . As I was in line and the cashier was ringing my items up she took it upon herself to read my card out loud with patrons behind me and say I quote out loud " My coworker works her just got married and this would be a prefect card for her and her wife . I am proud of my relationship and I am happily married but the stares I got from people in line behind me was very uncomfortable because of your cashier who decided to be loud and who reads a customers card out loud ???? That was rude and very unprofessional! Shopping was definitely not a pleasure at your store today !!! Poor customer service! She needs to be retrained ! I was very disappointed!! read more

Literally been standing in this deli line for an Hour and I only have 2 people in front of me. There is NO SENSE OF URGENCY . In the deli department on top of that they ran out of bread and only have multigrain left. CORPORATE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOIT THIS ! read more

The Lithonia , Panola Road Publix's, I purchased a sub- sandwich online. my attempt to receive the order was a nightmare. The store does not have a worker assigned to the pick up area: because the per paid sandwiches are behind the counter a worker is needed to obtain the sandwich. After waiting 15 minutes and asking 2 different people for my sandwich, I was told they were out of the meat for my sandwich. I waited another few minutes for a different person to make and bring a different sandwich. i got home to fine bread too hard to eat. I called the store manager and Deli manger. They both provide poor customer care., I will not purchase a sandwich there again. read more

Publix - Deli bar - Grocery Near Me - Lithonia, Georgia

This is probably the worst Publix you can possibly go to for the Deli. There is always a long line with rude employees (even the manager). Furthermore, even with ordering ahead online, your food will still never be ready by the designated time. Lastly, they are always out of certain products. Speaking specifically for the deli department, they have very poor customer service. read more

I ordered my sandwich online at 7:20. I learned the hard way not to show up at the expected pickup time so I got there at 8:35. Why was my sandwich STILL not ready ? The man behind the counter really told me he has no idea when it would be ready so I left. There was no apology for the wait, nothing. I'm not sure why they are so slow but they really need to get it together. I won't be ordering from this location anymore. read more

Let me start off by saying as long as I'm in this area, I will not shop at another grocery store. I just went here for the first time today and boy did they make a good impression! I'm talking from the parking lot! An employee greeted my boyfriend and me before we even hit the side walk, commented on our outfits, just so friendly! We walked into the place and I was smacked immediately by an aroma from the deli. I don't even know what it was but it smelled heavenly. The store was clean, organized, and the shelves were actually stocked! There was such a wide variety of everything too. I just wanted to get some taco ingredients and they made it difficult! So many options with everything lol I loved it. And they had a West Indian section which I've never seen before. Maybe a few items but never a dedicated section. Overall this store has a great appearance, friendly associates, and is well stocked. read more

Ok...I don't need this chicken but I'm getting it. This has got to be the slowest person here doing this. She is spending too much time talking and clearly she can't talk and count because she stops and starts as she talks read more

WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! WOULD GIVE A ZERO IF I COULD! Went to the deli to order lunch and waited 20 minutes before someone asked if I had been served. I said no. The stupid, obese, rude, deli worker said that someone would be with me. After another ten minutes of watching deli workers walk around doing nothing, I went to speak with a manager about my experience. Ignorant manager started making excuses for lazy workers even before I explained what happened, wouldn't listen to what I was trying to explain to her. DON'T SHOP HERE! SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!! read more

I love Publix. I will admit it costs a little more than some of the other nearby options but the store is clean, well lit, and fresh food.

Love this Publix. The store is always so clean and the staff is always very helpful. They are pricey but worth it sometimes. After a hard days work it is nice to go some where and be treated with consideration and care. They always have fresh produce, seafood, meats, deli, bakery, and fabulous meal ideas. great customer service and sandwich was delicious.

This store is right by my house so I'm always in and out of here. Everything is great about the store to me except their deli department. This is my second time in less than a month having a problem in their deli. Tonite the workers seemed mad that I wanted a flatbread at 9:30pm. Two weeks ago I ordered 50 wings (will never do this ever again those wings were super huge) and they messed up my whole order, they didn't have buffalo sauce so they just gave me plain fried wings with no seasoning no sauce or nothing. I don't hate this store I actually love it but for me I will not mess with their deli read more
