One of the nicest Publix in town. I tend to catch myself going here more than to the ones closer to me in Pensacola. It's welcoming and they provide such a great variety of meals to choose from near their deli section for those days that you just don't have enough time to cook. One main reason that made me want to leave a review was that the people here were EXTREMELY helpful when I was driving from work in Navarre on the way back to Pensacola and I wasn't sure if they had an item in stock, so I called ahead since I only had an hour to make it before closing. Not only did they help me professionally and in a timely matter, but they also provided me with the details as to which aisle I could find the item and where in the aisle. We came in to Gulf Breeze and Pensacola for vacation and we needed groceries for the week. We were looking for the usual Wal-Mart but instead we found a place called Publix, which is not common around where I live. We decided to try it and we were certainly glad we did! The place was very clean. Publix had wonderful employees that gave great service and wouldn't accept tips. The store had everything we needed! It had a fresh deli, seafood and there was a Publix Liquor store right next door! It was a great shopping experience! read more

Sandwich makers in the after lunch hours are on Island time. Nothing stocked up in the sandwich table, repeated trips to the back to get lettuce or tomato or mayo. 20 minutes to make 2 sandwiches for the guy in front of me then my two sandwiches. No sense of urgency by the staff in this situation. read more

This is like my local Publix in Wesley Chapel, but the deli area here always seems to have a long line wrapped around to the bakery. Have a vast variety of produce, meat department well stocked, however the seafood area was kind of stinky.,,guess that comes with territory? Since this is a beach community with high traffic for tourist heading to Pensacola Beach this Publix has a lot of touristy type items -- i.e. floats, beach balls, hats, etc. Overall, super clean & great customer service! read more

A huge grocery store that will have everything you're looking for. But, this place can get a little more expensive than normal since you're closer to the beach. It's also busier than normal so be patient waiting in line or accidentally running into people while shopping. read more

I ordered a Red Velvet cake for our son's birthday and felt that I must post that it was one of the best tasting cakes, Red Velvet or otherwise, that we have ever had. Our son loves this particular cake and as health conscious as he is he still had two slices! Well done, Publix. Publix needs to market whatever brainwashing drug they use on all their Stepford employees, who are constantly upbeat and friendly. Publix' selection of dates and figs in the produce section should be industry standard. Their sushi is delicious and each container somehow has 8,000 pieces and tons of wasabi despite a similar price point to other groceries. I tried a Reuben from the deli (white people have a genetic need for overpriced mediocre sandwiches, and my basic instincts cannot be denied) and it was tasty and well-priced, with approximately 7lbs of freshly sliced corned beef overflowing like a meaty Krakatoa on my lap. Lastly, their boogie boards are way choicer than WAL*MART's with better art and similar prices. read more

Like all other Publixes, they provide great service, great selection, and they have clean aisles! They also have a fairly large liquor store next door, but since my wife and I don't drink, we haven't really explored it. whole foods meets Tom Thumb and Kroger. The lace is great. The selection is great and a huge organic section. Asked questions of multiple staff and they all knew exactly where the items were in the store. Hey also have an associated liquor store next door. The epitome of one stop shopping. read more

It's a typical Publix. Not quite as crowded as the ones nearby in Pensacola, but not as big either. Some specialty food items available. I gave them 4 stars because their coupon policies rock. Saved $22 on my last grocery bill, can't beat that. read more

Wish we had Publix back home! The deli and produce selection is great and rivals the higher end groceries near home but at much more reasonable prices...the 5 stars is mostly for the super friendly and helpful employees wowww people who genuinely enjoy their jobs and helping customers. Maybe the lack of sun on the west coast makes people act like grumpy beasts hmmm will miss shopping here for sure read more

This is like my favorite place they have like a big variety of gourmet type foods cheese. Etc. But i do think they are a bit high on some things their buy one get one free deals can be tricky watch the prices to see if you are actually getting a deal i would shop more here if they priced matched read more

I love this grocery chain and wish they were in my area. The produce, bakery, and meats were wonderful. They even had beach supplies. It wasn't too crowded on a week day mid morning and was easy to get back on the busy highway to the beach (toll booth x1). read more

I love the produce at the store. It's always fresh and clean. Publix store brands are excellent. I've never had a bad experience. Three of my favorites are the Publix brand green tea with honey found in the deli area, the egg salad and the hummus. read more

I went to Publix to shop as well as buy a Lowes $250 gift card for my son. Imagine my shock that they pretty much accused me of fraud and said it was company policy to reject my American Express Card. The Manager could not substantiate the reason for treating me like poop other than tell me it was Publix's policy to treat me as a crook and refuse my American Express Card. I did not buy my groceries and left. I will never go back to another Publix again. Meanwhile, I went to Winn-Dixie and had no problem buying $250 worth of Lowes gift cards. Screw Publix read more

We rented a house on Pensacola Beach Florida for my daughter's wedding and ordered the wedding cake from Publix's Gulf Breeze. Their cake artist Shemika yes I call her that because the cake and coordinating cupcakes were not only fresh but beautiful. In fact she called me to see if she could add some extra touches that I didn't originally order. Wow what a cake no one could believe it was a Publix cake. Also, the store has a very reasonable delivery fee. I spoke to many specialty shops and bakers w much higher cost for the same look. Many of the caters also spoke highly of Publix Cakes. 5 star plus. gg read more
