Publix will always remain the best American supermarket for me lol There's always great and friendly customer service. Food and bakery goods is ALWAYS good. Their fried chicken is top notch. Always tasty and crispy. The real reason why I love Publix is because they have the best subs for a supermarket chain. They make their own bread. It's only $11ish for a sub. Their whole sub is a little bigger than a foot long. I always get it 2-3 times when I'm in town. It's a MUST. Highly recommend going to your nearest Publix if you have one. First this is about Publix in general. The personnel at most of the stores are dedicated to the motto of "where shopping is a pleasure." This rant is about the overall decline of my go to grocery company. Let's start at the bakery friendly can do people crap deserts! I can not believe some of the off putting flavors we have been forced to throw out and not isolated incidents! The ability to get large croissants is nye impossible. Yes they have the smaller which in my opinion don't taste the same and are always available. Why not make more large if demand is there! The sliced washed mushrooms don't last 3 days and are often sold brown and icky. Go back to your old vendor and tell the grocery manager to keep this gross stuff of the shelves. I purchased greenwise granola and the taste was so off putting I was grossed out same with the Wife who reluctantly tried it. The mini cucumbers last maybe 2 days in the fridge. The fish stand smells like somebody conducted NBC warfare. The eggs shells for the last six months fragment and make my one handed technique impossible! I find the Isles constantly blocked with displays and sometimes stockers. I purchased Publix made Italian sausage absolutely bland and tasteless. The corporate suits need to pull their heads out of their butts and go back to where "shopping was a pleasure." read more

Every employee in every department is friendly and out going with the exception of the DELI and more specifically the lunch meat counter. Many people behind the counter totally and consciously ignore you. Their body language says they don't want to be there and don't want to slice anything for you. I went to get a money order and Publix Customer Service tells me I need two forms of ID and they can't use credit cards as second verification. Had to be your social security card or passport. Its a new rule - fine. I go home in 5 o clock traffic and grab my passport, make it back to Publix 20 mins later and they start the process again. When I get back no one was interested in seeing the passport they had me go home and retrieve. Only my ID. The lady assisting me tells me I have to fill a form out several times (never filled a form out.) She then tells me my total, I try hand it to her and she walks off and tells another clerk "you got this?" And then the other clerk takes over. Everyone acts like the customer isn't present. Several minutes later the new one asks for the total. I give it to her and they need to call someone over to verify the hundreds lol. Several minutes after they manage to print my money order. Unnecessarily took about an hour of my time due to the neglectful behavior of their CS staff. Get your stuff together Publix Customer Service. read more

The worst deli I've ever seen run, waited for 30 mins just for them not to even listening to what we were saying we wanted on our subs. Completely cutting the wrong meats for the subs, and then when we asked them to only make one sub at the time, they then would say " we are doing that" then ask what all three subs wanted. Had to leave the deli to speak to a manager that seemed to have no control of his departments or how they are run and wasting there customers times. read more

I hate giving this place less than 5 stars because I literally had one of the best subs of my life here. But the staff is so damn slow and rude that it makes your soul ache. What should have taken 3-4 minutes to prepare a freakin cold cut sandwich took about 10-12 minutes total. I have never seen employees of any establishment ever move this slow. It was insane. The sandwich was incredible but the people are ultra I mean 4x slowmo and rude such an odd experience. It is convenient for me to stop at this location when I am on my way home from work. This Publix is a small store but I never have a problem finding a particular item. The shelves are well stocked & the store is very clean. The employees I have encountered have all been nice & helpful. The girls who work in the deli are all very organized & even during the after work rush they still greet you with a smile. No matter how many people are waiting they do not rush you & are always friendly. Checking out has always been smooth. The parking lot is small but I never have had trouble finding a spot. Publix is located on the SW corner of Hillsboro & Lyons. If you do not know it is there you will probably pass it by. My tip is to look for the CVS which is noticeable from the street. Love this Publix. I don't know why I haven't written a review sooner. I always find things that are usually cannot find that other Publix is in the area especially in the bakery department. I came today and I ordered two of the new subs and Kristina took her time and sliced all the meats and made them all to perfection. She went out of her way to make sure that I was happy with them. And Lee also helped her. My mother, sister and I were very happy!! I ordered the boars head turkey Italian sub and the boars head turkey sage sub. Sooooo yummy! Too many employees and customers do not wear masks. They have them on but pulled below their noses which is the same as not wearing a mask. It's just too dangerous to shop there. Also, they are constantly out of several items so that I have to go store-hopping to find what I need. Telling the manager doesn't help. I've found that Target is more consistently stocked and was pleasantly surprised to find prices are actually lower there for most of what I buy. Also, Target's curbside pick works beautifully. This is the best Publix in South Florida by far. I know, because I hit them all! The deli bends over backwards to have my sandwiches ready when I order them online, at least 3 times a week. The bakery has made specially decorated cakes for us at special occasions and the store manager Matt, has helped me out with special challenges over the years. They are consistent, the staff experiences very little turnover, which tells you it is a great place to work and management knows how to take care of it's own as well. Horrible experience with manager, Scott Dorrington Had the most horrible experience at this Publix. I would NOT recommend this location because of the manager's lack of customer service. I was with my 6 year old son doing fund raising for his cub scouts and the manager told me it was company policy I had to get it cleared. I agreed with him but at the time it was raining and thundering and I asked if I may go to the side for 10-20 minutes and bring everything in the car. We went back and forth. Me telling him I'm a mother With a 6 year old please It's raining give me 10 minutes and to make a long story short he yelled get your stuff and get out. Nice kicking out a mother and her 6 year old son in the thunderstorm. Great PR Publix! I understand company policy however as a business owner I would have handled that situation completely different. I would have explained company policy stated that I understood it was raining but I can only give you 15 minutes then we can help you get your stuff in the car so you won't get wet. We don't want to lose you as a customer and welcome you to submit your request next fund raiser. You would have kept a customer, explained company policy, and made Publix look like an outstanding corporate citizen. read more
