After attempting to get them from a competitor (on my way to work) and being told that only the Florist could do that for me, I headed to Publix at Prominence Point. I spoke to someone who said , " of course I will do that for you right away". It just reaffirmed why I shop at Publix . Customer Service is always a priority with them. Paid $24 for an eye of round roast today. Got it home and opened the package and there was a 1/2 thick layer of fascia on the bottom; I never saw one that thick. So I trimmed off maybe 1/2 pound. I roasted it using our long-time recipe, which produces tender, flavorful roasts. When I started slicing, it was like cutting an old shoe. I sliced cross grain and very thin. My wife has a jaw problem and simply stopped trying after a couple of bites. I worked my way through until my jaw muscles got tired. It didn't even taste like what we have bought for years, maybe buffalo? I would give it to the dog if we had a dog. Tomorrow, I'll throw it in with some BBQ sauce and simmer it for while. If that doesn't work, I'll toss it out back for the coyotes. Never had anything like this from Publix. read more

Placed an online order and when I went to pick it up the order was not ready and they were completely out of some items. The worst part was that Publix never called me to tell me the items were out, so my family dinner was ruined. Publix not only did not honor my online order, they also did not notify me that the order could not be completed as ordered. Stay away from ordering online! read more

This Publix is located in Canton, GA is right off of hwy-575 in a shopping center called Prominence Point. Nearby businesses includes Walgreens, Zaxby's Chicken Fingers, Wendy's Dollar Tree and Wells Fargo Bank. There is a Kroger Grocery store directly across the street. The Cherokee detention center and police department is about a mile up the street so if you see tons of cop cars and bond places...that's why.... The store itself has been remodeled and looks great. Shinny everything. My only problem is of course they changed everything around so I have to relearn where they put stuff. Otherwise its a great store with plenty of friendly cashiers. The bakery department puts no effort into its cakes. None. There is barely any frosting on the cake. Like their cakes are bad.

Sad meat department. Bought some ground chuck here a couple of weeks ago, immediately vacuum sealed and froze it. Thawed it out and tried to make burger patties with it. I have NEVER seen so much water come out of their meat while trying to make patties!! This is not only unethical but it's thievery. My gosh, this has happened the last several times I bought ground meat from them, you'd think I'd learn. Imagine the profit they make selling Watered down meat. Iris in the deli is amazing. She was so helpful to me when I brought my toddler in and had to divide my attention between ordering my sandwiches and him. She even helped me with my drink at the end when he started to run away from me. I'm pretty sure I heard her telling someone that it was her day off and she had come in and I appreciate her attitude even more for that. Thank you Iris! I usually don't take time to add reviews as I don't have much to offer. However, yesterday I had an amazing experience at the Canton, Georgia Publix and their manager Don Trussrack (sp? Sorry) I don't shop; Kimberly does that. But Kim is hospital in the trauma unit in Seattle and I am here in Georgia. I had to return to work or I'd loose my insurance. Anyway, I went into Publix in Canton for a few items so the dog and I don't starve. Somewhere between the register and home I either forgot or lost the bag with my cheese, cold meat and sour cream. I called and the courteous lady at the Publix desk told me that if I left it, the clerk would have restocked the items. She told me to come in and they'd replace the missing items. I went in and talked with the manager Don, who was a really good dude. I collected the missing items, he took my name and asked me into the security room. On the monitor he had a video of me checking out, collecting all my bags and leaving the previous night. No leave-behinds! I must have set the bag down in the parking lot and driven away. My bad. Don refused payment and wished me well. Don you rule. God has a special place for you in heaven my friend. Thank you again. I feel bad I did embarrassed myself and took a few dollars of groceries for free. Cannot thank Don and Publix enough. Great people and a wonderful experience. Five stars!!! read more

This is our neighborhood Publix. It's a little smaller than a lot of other Publix stores I've been in, but bigger than a couple of others. It carries quality produce and meat selections here. Because it is a Publix the prices are a little higher than the other grocery chain stores around. The staff here is super friendly and always willing to help. Employees and management are always asking how you are doing and if you need help finding something or if you are finding things ok. That goes a long way and makes the higher prices a little worth it. read more

This Publix location is subpar in comparison to the other Publix locations I've been to. Ex 1: I visited the seafood section and said excuse me about 5 times before the gentleman behind the counter chose to acknowledge me. As if I was burdening him by asking for the services he's there to provide. Ex 2: Several times during checkout the employees chose to talk over me about other employees they were less than satisfied with. I honestly could careless can you please just ring my groceries and I will bag myself. Honestly it seems as if the managers are the only ones required to provide good customer service and the employees run around as clueless and tactless as can be. read more

This is my normal publix, I've been shopping here for some years now. A few weeks ago I experienced premium service that I think deserved recognition. At the register I'm normally welcomed with a smile but Jordan greeted me with a smile and immediately asked how I was doing and making sure I found everything with no problem. During my order I had a frozen bag of fries that has a rip in the back and Jordan made sure I got it fixed in a timely manner. At the end of my order I was pleasantly surprised by how efficient and polite my bagger, Levi, was. He was very nice and kept good conversation the whole way out to my car and made sure my eggs and bread were placed away from anything heavy. I am very pleased with my publix and thought these two workers deserved recognition for doing their job in a publix manner. read more

Once again, I got home to find that something has been left out of my bags. It was sure on the receipt, so I definitely paid for it. Not the first time, but dam tired of calling them after getting home and finding it missing. In addition, their deli/sandwich/chicken section has gotten slow. So slow that I always see people walk away. I can say that the majority of their staff is friendly, but at times too overly friendly that they are talking to someone other than me and did not listen when I told them what I did NOT want on my deli sandwich. I've even had a gentleman from deli snap at me when I questioned the meat he was putting in my boars head roast beef , only to get home and find that I was right. Um, ham is not roast beef. Any time I saw him working that section, I would walk away. They are convenient to me but I'll drive further to find better service. Sorry folks. read more

I have NEVER had a bad experience at a Publix until tonight!!!! I placed an online order for 3 subs at 9pm and was given a pick up time of 9:40pm!! Since I was close by, I called and politely asked if there was any possibility that our order would be done sooner. The girl that answered the phone was ZERO help at all and three times when I'd ask a question she would say "Hold on, let me ask about that." She never put me on hold so I could hear her chatting and giggling loudly in the background. she wouldn't answer my question about whether they had other orders in front of ours, which I doubted at 9pm, but it would make a wait understandable. Finally, I asked if it would really take 40 minutes to make three small subs and she said "if you would like us to make them and make them well, yes, it will take until 9:40 PM. If we finish early, we can give you a call. That's the best that I can do." So what did I do? Immediately called the manager who was even LESS helpful than deli girl. Soooo incredibly rude and did not validate my concerns about the unhelpful employee. She just kept saying "I'll have to look into that." No apology or offer to go check the deli and see what was going on. Finally, I sent my husband inside and told him he could just place a new order so they would make it right then and there. Turns out there was zero line and no orders in front of us. Shocker, I know. Just lazy employees that didn't want to do their jobs because they were too busy flirting (it was 2 young girls and a guy). I will NEVER again take my business to this Publix. This review is solely based on my experience with the pharmacy. Everytime I have to deal with Publix Pharmacy it is because my regular pharmacy is out of my medication. The staff has never been friendly. They always act like I should be greatful that they allowed me in their presence. They are never helpful, and are always rude. Today I waited 8 minutes before the tech acknowledged I was waiting to drop off a medication. No apology for the wait, instead I was greeted with "Are you dropping off or picking up?" For starters I'm standing at the drop off window so I thought it was obvious what I was doing! The tech Phu was not helpful and rude. I will not be returning to any publix pharmacies! Wal Mart pharmacies have better customer service! Follow-up- After I picked up my medication the pharmacist flagged me down in the deli and he apologized for the way the tech treated me. He told me the tech was a temp filling in for today and is not a permanent member of the pharmacy. I give them an extra 2 stars because there pharmacist apologized for my bad experience. read more

I've been here a few times, and although I really like the merchandise they carry and the general idea of the store (I've heard they attempt to pay living wages and offer stock options to employees, etc.), my experience at this store was tainted by a checker who was unnecessarily rude with a Vietnamese lady ahead of me. Now, yes, as a man married to an Asian American I am probably hypersensitive to this issue because I don't want anyone to treat my wife or daughter poorly, but the woman's English was fine, the checker seemed to have a perceived language barrier based on appearance. The lady ahead of me was waiting on her friend to come back with an item, and I was happy to wait as I was not in a hurry, but the checker was trying to pressure the lady to end her transaction. When her friend did get there, the checker started taking things from my basket to scan as well, which I was too infant-weary to notice at first. The ladies in front of me got a little vocal in telling her those weren't their items, most likely annoyed by the treatment before. The checker did, of course, cancel the items, but not without some huffing and puffing and eye rolling. It made it even worse when I was driving out and saw those ladies with keys unlocking a store nearby, so the mere proximity should garner some good will between all involved. Oh well. Other than that one encounter, it's generally had what I needed, and they do carry the Stoneyfield drinkable yogurt that's not for kids, which is my wife's favorite yogurt and one of the few things I can't find from Kroger, which I prefer due to the rewards on gas and hand-picked quarterly coupons. read more

I went into the Prominence Point Publix today for a few items and just starting looking at the wines for a brand I was pretty sure they did not carry. The gentleman stocking the wines offered to help me and even though they didn't have the wine I asked about "Lakeridge Winery Southern White" he knew that brand. He said he had family that lived near Clermont, Florida where it is made. He offered to call the Bridgemill Publix and if they had it he would pick it up tonight on his own time and bring it to his store in the morning where I could pick it up. Needless to say they did not have it but James (the gentleman's name) to even offer was such a "going one step farther" for the customer it made quite an impression on me.
