Dishes from best to worst: Pork Belly: absolutely would order again, very tender and delicious - one of the top pork bellies I can recall Shrimp: the shrimp was tasty, and the oil was delicious with the bread Octopus: really good, nice and crispy and not rubbery Potatoes: crispy and aioli was good, but nothing super special Cod: cod balls were fine, the other customer enjoyed them but personally not my favorite (probably more of a preference thing) Steak: Was a bit disappointed with the steak, was just strips of beef with some sauce Drinks: Sangria: we ordered one to share and the bartender split into two for us without us having to ask, was a refreshing drink Summary: 4/5 overall the food was very good with one or two semi-misses

Even if you don't end up liking the dish, the tapas size is small so you're not losing too much. And most importantly, most of the dishes I tried had garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil as the predominant flavor profile. The perfect seasoning profile for a non-adventurous eater! For the more adventurous eaters, I'd highly recommend sampling from their charcuterie and cheese selection. I enjoyed trying different combinations of cheese and meat with the bread to see which flavor profile was my favorite (also a good activity for Remy's friend from Ratatouille). As other reviewers mentioned, you can try a lot of dishes but the tables aren't that big so you have to be a little bit strategic if you want to dip the bread in the leftover sauces.

They did not charge us for the casserole which I appreciated. I think the best dish we had was some sort of steak dish. For the price you pay I expected... better. I think this place tries to be unique with its taste which you can tell by the incomprehensible menu. But there is a fine line between exotic and just a bad blend of tastes, and this place was just not it for me. And I love food and trying new things! Luckily it looks like their menu rotates quite a bit, so better luck next time.

Forage isn't necessarily a cheap spot, but I just had a great experience here and do believe it is…read moreworth the price you pay. My partner and I couldn't decide what to get from their a la carte menu so we ended up going for the four-course tasting menu instead ($85/pp), picking the omnivore and pescatarian options to see if we could try more items. We were actually a little underwhelmed at first, but the tasting menu got better and better after each course. The tasting menu started with some of their in-house pickles and ferments. We had some onion, green beans, and cucumbers, which I wished were crunchier. Each pickle had a good amount of acidity but I wouldn't have minded if the flavors were punchier. The first course of the tasting menu was a salad. Visually it just looked like a pile of lettuce, but they added a savory garlicky sauce and a sprinkle of asparagus salt that allowed the dish to feel refreshing and hearty at the same time. The radishes were crunchy, peppery, and delicious, and we were very pleased to find that many of the later courses also included raw radish. We ended up getting different dishes for the second course, one of which involved deep-fried arancini-like balls of risotto with a creamy sauce, and the other had a cold plant-based loaf served with a vibrant garlic sauce. Both dishes featured some fresh greens that balanced the carby heaviness. By the time we got to the third course, we realized that Forage makes their vegetables shine. The omnivore course came with a steak while the pescatarian course had a pan-fried fish, both of which were also available to be ordered a la carte. While we thought that the steak and fish were seasoned and prepared well, the vegetables stood out to us even more. They weren't prepared in any crazily innovative way but the chefs made the natural flavors of the vegetables shine in a way that complemented the rest of the dish very well. After the third course, we added one optional cheese course ($22/pp) that came with even more radishes. The hazelnut shortbread was super buttery and everything went well together. I was already feeling pretty full and was glad that we only got one cheese course instead of two. Finally, the fourth course had a maple semifreddo with seaweed crisps and a caramel nut sauce. This was amazing and something that I'll think about for a long time! I could really taste the maple flavor in the semifreddo, and the cold creaminess went so well with the salty, crispy seaweed and nutty, buttery caramel. The balance of textures and flavors in the dessert was excellent. Along with the tasting menu, we added one wine pairing ($60/pp). We liked some of the wines so much that we asked for more information about them and learned that some of the wines are imported in small batches. After experiencing how well vegetables are prepared here, I'd love to visit during different seasons to sample their vegetarian menu items.

There's an array of wine to choose from and all of the desserts seem delicious. We ordered the brownie which was decadent without being too sweet and perfectly paired with a dallop of ice cream. The wines also range in regions theyre from, making it fun to try different types of wines, including types you might not always find everywhere. Pair good wine and dessert with a cell phone free environment and you have the optimal formula for disconnecting and enjoying your company. This place does get busy so depending on the day and time, Id recommend snagging a reservation if you plan on sticking around for more than a glass.

The second time, I managed to land the location but they were closed. But the third time? It was the one! Now here's the twist: even though Gâté bakes most of its pastries in-house, they no longer make their Instagram-famous chocolate mousse there. Instead, it's made here at Zuzu's. So naturally... here we are. I couldn't leave my daughter out of this beauty- so after dinner nearby, we intentionally skipped dessert there and rushed here just before closing. Thank God we did. Zuzu's was actually closed to the public for a private event, but luckily they were still doing take out. A win is a win. Two chocolate mousses to go! And service was great even placing the order by phone. The chocolate mousse is just heavenly. Deeply rich with an intense chocolate flavor that was luxurious and comforting at the same time. Is it too forward to rate just on their chocolate mousse alone? Maybe? But so what- it's just great!

Another just accidental find that had ties back to Memphis…read more Our first night of vacation on a recent trip was in Cambridge. Looking for something good to eat and we happened upon this place within walking distance of our hotel. The menu was mysterious online and didn't really represent what we stumbled into that night. We show up and speak to who I believe to be the hostess. We had some nice small talk while we were heading to the table. Half way there she asked where we were from and we told her "the most beautiful land in the world, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis, Memphis". IFKYK. She was like, "no way". Yes way, I say. She then tells us she lived in Memphis for a long time and this place is modeled after a place she waited tables at while she lived there. Turns out she was the owner. I asked what it was and lo and behold she says one of my favorite places in our delightful town. Flight. I then put two and two together and realize why the menu was so hard for me to understand online. It's just like Flight. You can get a made "flight" of foods or drinks or you can build your own flight of food from all of the choices. Now I'm stoked. I love Flight! I had a nice IPA and C had a nice fancy drink too. We both had soups to start. They were pretty good. We both had a flight each after our apps. Food was good, not great. Portions were insane. We probably left half of it there. It felt like such a waste. Had I known that it was going to be so much, I would have ordered a single dish. Each one seemed like a good sized meal in my opinion. My favorite things were the lamb chops and the grit cake that came with one of my dishes. I poked around at the others some but all of these. C's pot pie was interesting with a chicken tender shoved in it. I didn't care of her other two dishes. The Beef Wellington was fair at best. We skipped dessert as we were so damned full already. Nice place, great ownership, I wish the food was better. Very nice steak knife I will add. That means a lot and pushed the star up one. That may sound strange but I don't care. 26 - 65
