After another business gave me the bait and switch, I resolved to get a final price over the phone before driving anywhere else. Called their 614 number and got transferred to a national call center. Let's pause here. Why not just use a 1-800 number? They deliberately mislead you into thinking you are going to speak to someone local. Continuing. The agent couldn't tell me what the mandatory insurance not included in the advertised price would cost. I asked to be transferred to the local facility I thought I was calling in the first place. She insisted I give my name and email address first. I was literally told I could call the facility manager "when I'm done with you." So they bait and switch you with the 614 number that redirects to a national call center and then demand your email address to actually speak with the local location. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of being auto-subscribed to six newsletters by every business I've ever given a sidelong glance. No thanks, Public Storage. I prefer businesses that are open, honest, and respectful. read more

Horrible customer service!!! At first it seems awesome, nice area location looks decent. The units are not water proof... over time mold will accumulate all over your belongings. The insurance only covers $250.00 for mold. The seemingly pleasant manager becomes rather unwilling to cooperate. read more

I had a lot of issues with another location who kept delaying my reserved unit bc it apparently needed to be cleaned. Eventually they transferred my reservation here and it went much smoother! I was in my unit right away, and Arlene was very nice and helpful. Really like this location. read more

Boycott Public Storage. They implemented a new policy where rates will increase every year--no matter what. Ive been with this center for years. Ive seen my same size storage unit go from 90.00 just s few years back to today it was 150.00 because they hiked it from 130.00 to 150.00. That is a 60.00 increase in just s few years. Dont do it. If your stuff is there consider another storage center that values you as a customer. I have been at the Arlington center location and ran into renters here who have had their belongings marred by mold from leaking units or petroleum fumes from furniture absorbing it after cars have been stored in the units and the gas and oil stains on the floor heat up in the summer and release toxins that are absorbed by fabrics clothes and carpets. None of these customers were reimbursed or assisted in any way with the damages or the inconvenience of moving. They were treated poorly and left very unahppy for just reason. Just do not support companies like this. read more

Arlene at the company was extremely helpful, great location ... Have no clue why it's in a neighborhood with half million dollar homes. Got the first month for $1, was competitive price wise with the areas that aren't nearly as nice. read more

I recently used this Public Storage location to stage some stuff from my house as I renovate it. The location is a quiet, safe suburban area; the interior area where I stored my stuff was clean, no bugs, although a bit of a pain to access (exterior doors didn't always open easily, especially in winter). FYI, for the interior lockers, you buy a cylindrical lock, which you keep when done with the space. I scored a promotional rate, but insurance is required, so 'savings' disappear quickly. Overall, clean and safe, just check the fine print to be sure of how much you're paying. read more

I wish there were a selection for zero stars. My experience at public storage in upper Arlington off of Henderson Road was horrifying. I was a faithful customer for six months who never missed a payment and who actually paid early every month. However when it came time for me to close my account I was threatened with a $200 fee for something I did not do. I closed my account with the employee working on October 4, 2015. She stated that everything was fine, and I was good to go. I received a very rude phone call stating that I had left a file cabinet outside of my unit. I did agree to go look at said the cabinet (to make sure that I wasn't charged for something that was not mine.) When I arrived the lady working at the desk was extremely rude and telling me that it was mine even though I said I really did not think I owned a filing cabinet. She also threatened that she had me on film leaving it there. The fact that she threatened that she had me on film for something that I was sure had never happened was very strange To be completely honest I was never really that concerned because I knew that I didn't own a filing cabinet and I was sure it must be a mistake. However I did go look at the item (which was three units away from the unit that I had rented ) and once I confirmed it was not mine I tried to politely explain to the woman that it was not mine. She continued to call me a liar and call me irresponsible, stating that she knew it was mine and that I had to take care of it or she would charge my debit card. I was horrified at the way this woman spoke to me, and I tried to be polite the entire time (even though I was forced to go down in the middle of the day and state that something that I knew was not mine, was not mine.) I even tried to call corporate twice and the district manager multiple times over and over nobody has gotten back to me to apologize for the rude way this woman spoke to me, even though I was a good and loyal customer. Long story short I would never use this location, or any other public storage location, ever again. I would advise anyone reading this to do the same. There are many other businesses around the area where you can store your property and not be afraid of getting charged for something that is not yours. Also it was a crying shame the way the woman spoke to me --as if I were a young irresponsible person, when actually I had done everything I could to be a good customer. At this point (since nobody in management wanted to speak to me about my multiple attempts at discussing this matter), my only option was to write a review to warn others not to make the same mistake I did. Please go somewhere else for any of your storage needs. read more
