Chris Lavoy was extremely helpful with my move in I was on the fence on if I should get a storage unit or not he really helped me make my decision. The facility is great because of the ability to drive up to all of their units. I was given professional service and care with a no pressure environment. I would greatly recommend public storage after my experience with Chris give them a chance they have great rates and service. read more

They raise the prices without notifying you!! You find out when you log into your account in the app to pay your bill!! Also there's rodent droppings in my unit I don't think they do anything about that either!! It's really frustrating!! read more

My experiance at this Public Stroage was great. Unit is exacty what was described and the cost was within reason. The only reason I'm moving out is I needed a bigger unit and wanted it to be closer to my home as I'm not in that area much anymore and I move items in and out quite a bit. read more

I wouldn't move my shit here again if I had to. Got a unit to store items during a transition from selling my home and waiting for a new one to be built. Rented site unseen (no ones in the office to show you the unit prior so you have to book online) and walk in. I'm not expecting a glamorous indoor climate controlled unit but I'm expecting the space I rented to be the sq footage I am paying for. A 10' x 20' unit should be 200sq feet. This unit was 8.5' x 18' which is 153 sq feet. Idk what terrible math this company does but even tho they state they "estimate and round up" that maths closer to a 10' x 15' unit. So I canceled within an hour of my original booking, and was charged a non refundable $29 fee because it's an admin fee. I wouldn't have to pay this if someone was able to show me the abysmal and inaccurately advertised storage unit dimensions, prior to booking. That's just shitty business practice. Screw this place for being shady. Go somewhere else to store your stuff. read more

Two stars so my review doesn't get lost. Building is accessible. Gate lock works from your phone most of the time. The problem with public storage is that their space sizes are "estimates" I paid for a 10 x 10 and my space was about 8x9. I rented here for about 14 months. My rent stayed the same for about 3 months then began increasing by increments of $50-$75. By the time I moved out, they wanted almost $400 a month. If you need a short term rental for a month or 2, this place is fine. Any longer and the corporate greed kicks in. Even if the same size spaces are being rented at a lower rate, they won't let you move to that spot. They require you to move to a different size unit. A place to store your box 5/10. Customer service/loyalty 1/10. read more

jacked up our rent 38% in less than 6 months into our storage rental As well as the unit isn't as big as they posted. Deceptive

The entire rental and move in process was easy and the staff were very helpful and answered all my questions.

I'm looking for a storage unit to fit all of my belongings while I step out of the California and the worker helping me out was so helpful. Agustin was actively listening to my concerns and I will be coming back to him in a month to get a space rented by him. Good job Public Storage, see you soon . read more

Excellent service. We end up didn't rent in this location cos they don't have the size we want. But the lady helped us find the another location with the size we want with a better deal. Highly recommend. read more

Excellent service by Agustin. He was eager to show me the right unit for my needs. The fact you can drive right up to the unit is a big plus so you get more bang for your buck. read more

They raised my rent 43% after 5 months of use. 43%!!!!!!! Avoid this place. Might as well rent an apartment for what they're charging. Horrible Business. read more

I needed a storage space on short notice. Charlie at Public Storage was able to accommodate me with my request. Did transactions of renting online paying for the space and in all the whole process was very easy and fast. The public storage facility is a very clean. The storage place is kept very clean. Charlie offered to walk me to my space in the Heat and showed me how to use the lock. This had to be done because I get lost just driving around the corner and when you put a lock in the mix of this forget about it. Charlie took his time to explain and show me how to lock is taken out and put back in. If you are renting from public storage and you paid for your space you will not be able to access your space unless you go to the office prior and show your ID. Charlie explain the rules and one of them being that you need to be off the property by 9 p.m. very clearly. All the staff is masked and everything is sanitized. I feel very safe storing my personal belongings with Public Storage. What could have been a nightmare was a easy peasy transaction read more

Public Storage - My epic gaming chair clearly the King of this storage space! - Self Storage Near Me - Saugus, California

We were at the Saugus, CA location for 13 years. We started at a reasonable rate for the 10X20 unit. It slowly but surely climbed every year, usually $25 or so, to around $450 / month in 2022. That, in itself, was a crushing amount for us to pay each month. If you think about it, that is the equivalent of $1350 / month for a 600 sq. ft apartment which has appliances, bathrooms, windows, carpets, heat, AC, water, etc. OK, fine, we paid it. Then last month we received a notice stating that as of April 1, 2023 it was going up to $596 / month - basically $150 more - for the same outdoor unit. That's about a 33% increase in one year! NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! We shopped around and found a newer, cleaner, nicer place that is half the distance for us for less than we were paying for the unit last year. It was a real pain to pack it into a truck and move it in one day, but we did it. If there are no consequences for companies gouging their customers, they will continue to do it. The property had no improvements made and nothing has changed there to justify this. The company wanted more money. NOPE! read more

A simple and efficient sign-up process and great customer service from the onsite manager (Chris) made opening our short-term storage space a truly pleasant experience. read more

I rented a 5x5' unit which measured only 4'5" x 4'6". I asked them why and they said, "all dimensions are an approximate". This is a false advertising. Also the "$1 1st month" only applies to VERY few places, which is a loss-leader bate. The units are not climate controlled, but all units are ground level with drive up access. The dude in the office was very helpful. The one time registration fee and the mandatory insurance CAN NOT be waived. Online bill pay is cool and I wanted a name brand, near by place. UPDATE: I am kicking myself because now they have a special for $15 less per month and 50% off 1st month. Only if I delayed moving in a week... I called the manager, customer service and they said they will not offer me the lower price. Just tough luck. I called the corporate office and still no response. read more

My first experience with renting a storage unit and also Public Storage as a company. Yes, a little research will save you from the shock. You have to pay for a lock, you have to pay an extra $10 a month or so for insurance. Still the discounted first month made this place competitive price-wise with other places I researched. This particular franchise location was great to deal with overall. Nice, helpful employees. Great location. Nice reliable unit for the two and a half months I used it. Very easy access to the property and drive-up unit. (Note that all of the units at this location are outdoor, drive-up units, i.e. not climate controlled.) Never found it to be overly crowded. Great amount of space for the price. Good access hours. Using the Public Storage website to reserve and handle account was convenient. Customer service was good overall. They called immediately when I booked unit. Called to confirm my check-in appointment. Called again to ask for a "review" which almost gave me a heart attack (thinking there was an emergency with the unit) but they weren't pushy. I guess the manager of this location just really wants reviews. They do prorate, but only if you get out within the first week of a month. When I tried to get a discount, vacating my unit on the 15th of the month I was told I would have to pay for the full month. Not a huge hassle. Overall, was very happy with my experience. read more

Chris was awesome and extremely helpful. He made the process super easy. He was also extremely professional and responsive.

Easy to sign up and rent a storage unit

Excellent costumer service. Very helpful and affordable deals and promotions. The office manager Milan helped us get a storage unit the very same day after being difficult and fickle. She even stayed late after closing to help us with paperwork and was very patient and accommodating. She made the experience very pleasant. And offered us tools (ie. Tape, boxes, rope) to help us move our stuff. All was done in about 15 mins and she answered and covered any questions and all information clearly and adequately. And we were able to move our stuff in the same day. read more

The storage was very clean and easy to get to. I was very thankful that the manager, Chris was sincere, friendly and helpful! That was especially important, since it had been such a difficult day. This was the only part of the day that was easy! Great place! read more

Never dealt with public storage and I don't think I ever will. First of all the $1 for the first month is not very accurate. I ended up paying $50+ dollars (mandatory insurance, lock, fees...). Second issue is that the staff is not knowledgeble. I was told I could discontinue the service at any time and my rate would get prorated. Well when I had to do it, they said that I would have to wait till the end of the month to close it. When I told them that one of their employees told me that, they said I should have read the paper agreement (which I did afterwords and it didn't mention that).I guess they just make their own rules. read more

If the managers are on break and you don't see the sign on the door, but you see the manager hide from the view of the door... Here's my recommendation. Don't knock on the door...one of the managers will give you an attitude and blame it on corporate office as to why they have an attitude. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT as far as getting the storage unit and how simple the process was. But it all turned sour when I was given a SALTY attitude and continued to be called sweetie, thinking that would help hide the fact that she didn't want to help me. I won't put her name on the post. read more

This place is always clean and well maintained. You don't feel crammed in when you park your vehicle. I have a drive up unit and my concerns were about my belongings becoming dusty, well I'm happy to say my unit is always clean inside. They were very friendly on the phone and hand picked a perfect unit for me based on my needs and wants. The downside is there's an interesting family who pulls up and hangs out with their belongings strewn about, playing guitar in their vehicle and doing whatever else in their spare time, of which they seem to have a lot of and of course they're right near my unit. read more

I called to reserve a unit on a Friday. Corporate gave me a confirmation number and gave me a week to go in and physically secure the unit as mine. Less than 5 minutes after speaking with the corporate representative the storage company called to touch base - no problem. I told them I would be in to physically secure the unit within the week and the manager asked if she could follow up with me later in the week, I said sure. Little did I know this meant 2-3 phone calls a day!!!! When I was finally able to answer their call I told the female worker the amount of calls I was receiving were becoming a nuisance. She rudely said she was calling to inform me the price had dropped but they wouldn't call me anymore and hung up on me! Great customer service Public Storage! I will be taking my business elsewhere and encourage my family and friends to do so as well. read more
