If I could give a -1 I would. The customer service at Public Storage on Round Rock Avenue is DREADFUL. I am planning an out of state move, I tried to contact the manager to confirm having a UPack shipping container dropped off would be approved. I have waited 5 days for the manager to return my call. I am out of town so I cannot go to the location. It's not hard to pick up the phone to have a two-minute conversation to say yes or no. Absolutely the worst storfage place I have ever used. Worst price increases ever. STAY AWAY!!!!! I have been using this place for storage for a couple of years. I moved to CA from TX after a divorce and had to store literally all of my personal belongings in one of their units. I have been paying monthyl an d every 3 months or so the rent has gone up 20 - 30 percent. I am paying over $300 on a 5 x 10 unit now!!!!! It started at around $135 a month. I can't afford this months payments as they increase the rent wth a little email notice that can be overlooked very easily. They literally change the rent to whatever they want. I just got my storage unit. It was the size I expected. The office staff was Wonderful and Very Helpful to both myself and the friends I had with me. It was also very easy to rent the unit all online and have my keys and lock all ready to go once I got there. I would say the only drawback it the hours. I wish they were open later than 9pm. I had such a great and amazing experience with Alan at this location. We were looking for a place to rent for my son car due to no parking allowed at school because of limited space. I was very lucky to able to get one at this location. Alan walked the property to make sure they had a availability. The rep stated they didn't at first but he did reach out to Alan. That's when he walked the property and found a great space. We were so grateful and happy! We then head straight over there after speaking to him. The process for renting was extremely easy. He showed us the space even confirmed my son car will fit. He even went the extra mile to make sure the entrance to the space was not high enough to damage the vehicle! My things were stolen out of the unit less than 24 hours after securing my things in the unit. The day after Christmas after taking all my things there from my apartment. As a single mother with a 3 month old. Baby shower gifts and irreplaceable memories are all gone. I feel so violated. Service was great, unit was clean. We did not experience any problems with pests. The only issue is that the entrance/exit is a bit tight and it's hard to maneuver your car around the place during busy times. Customer service was fantastic though, every time we needed something or had a question everyone was extremely helpful. Would definitely use again. read more

I'm so disappointed in my service provided. I have rented from public storage before and great service. Not only was the unit wrong no one was there to help. I went around in circles for hours trying to connect to someone for help. instead I had to cancel my movers because I didn't want to move three times. I had to pay the Min two hours for the movers and got nothing moved. Public Storage didn't answer or come back to the office that whole day. I am so upset with the experience. I rented a large storage unit at this facility for six months and my furniture and clothing, 80% of my belongings have been destroyed by rats, including holes chewed into mattresses and bedding, all my belongings covered in rat excrement. Horrible way to move into a new house. read more

No! This place is disgusting! Not only is this place incredible over priced, but when we removed our things we found rodent droppings. After further inspection we discovered many damaged items and had to use gloves and masks to go through all of our good because of rodent feces and urine. We had to file an insurance claim and public storage claimed to be excused from ANY liability because of the mandatory insurance. I had no problem with the insurance because it was explained to me that it was for water, humidity or theft. We will never store goods with the company again. The best part about this particular Public Storage property IS JENN!!!!! Her customer service is phenomenal! I went in on a busy day for me and she had me in a storage super fast and super easy in less than FIVE MINUTES! She was so professional and extremely thorough. I think one star is way too much for this location. The people working here are not very bright nor competent. Jenn Hamilton can barely put a cohesive sentence together let alone be considered property manager. They screwed up the reservation, did not properly add automatic payment to our account at set up, got the wrong email and phone number in the system. Not one thing was done correctly. The place is infested with rodents and they refuse to acknowledge the problem. They put a second lock on our storage unit by "accident" and reset our gate password by "accident", so that we could not get in when needed. Not even speaking about the fact that no one is in the office before 10:00 a.m. or after 4 p.m. They do not keep the office hours as stated on the website nor the door. Our storage unit was infested with rats and over half of our belongings were ruined. The staff also went into our storage unit and placed rat poison without notifying us that there was even a rat issue. There was also rat poison placed all over our belongings.
