They don't even deserve ONE star!!! The worst company ever! BIGGEST JOKE and a huge money scheme with all their bullshit fees and such. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing. They lost loyal customers! The customer service is HORRENDOUS! (Except for Angela and Trey). Forget showing up or calling customer care OR EVEN GETTING A HOLD OF A HIGHER UP... you'll literally have to go to ANOTHER PROPERTY for anything hence why I mentioned Angela and Trey. Had to go to ANOTHER property just to get help. Haha their GAMES NEVER END!!!! we just moved out FINALLY BEFORE THE 1st mind you AND JUST TO TRY AND BE CHARGED $250 yet again over pure BS! AND THEYRE TRYING TO CHARGE US ANOTHER MONTH BC THEYRE TOO LAZY TO GO CHECK THE UNIT YESSSSTERDAY WHEN IT WAS THE 1st..... jokes on you!!! #DoNOTRENT!!!!!! I've been renting at this location for over 10 years. I'd really like to give them five stars, but as of late the property has been neglected. The most urgent of these issues is a leaking roof. When it rains, the vacant unit directly next to mine has a puddle on the floor and so does the area in front of the elevator. I've stopped by the office multiple times, but nobody is ever there. I've tried calling and leaving messages. On the one occasion someone actually returned my call, they put a lock on the unit that was leaking (removed it from being rentable), but then a few days later, the lock was removed and the unit was again available for rent. It has since rained again, and the roof is still leaking into that unit. There are many other issues I've had with this property, but I'll leave it at that in hopes that someone at the company reads this and finally does something about the roof. I'm considering moving to a different facitlity, but this one is a great location for me, and I access my unit almost daily. Having to drive a farther distance, as well as having to move a ton of stuff, is very undesirable. If I can't trust that my stuff will stay dry, though, I might be forced to move. read more

We moved into our unit in October. 5 months later we get a rent increase of almost 100.00 more a month. I called to see if it was a mistake and was told they would research and let me know. They never got back to me. I found another storage facility a mile away for less than 1/2 of what I was currently paying for the same space. While they prorate your move in, I didn't get prorated on my move out. Pretty sad experience since I've been with Public Storage for a long time, just not at this particular location. read more

Recently sold our home to downsize and needed to utilize storage between our move due to unexpected delays. Jody was amazing, she helped me thru the process and rental. In 2 years the cost went from about $140 to $264/month. There are price increases every few months. This last increase was $50/month without warning. BEWARE THAT YOUR CONTRACT STATES THAT PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!!!! You are NOT LOCKED INTO A PRICE!!!!! I did not realize this until it was too late, but apparently it's a well known fact about Public Storage. Prior to renting at Prosper Commons I leased from UHaul off 380/DNT. I was locked into a price the entire 4 years I was there. Got sucked into one of Public Storages bait and switch deals with cheaper pricing. 3 months after moving in they jacked my rate up to more than I paid at UHaul. And it kept going up and up and up. It was a dumb move on my part. NOTE!!!! I reserved my unit online and when I got to the facility to sign the contract they tried to switch me to non-climate control telling me the online reservation DOES NOT guarantee you anything. Had to wrestle with them to get what I reserved. They WOULD NOT let me leave without putting a lock on (didn't bring one with me) so I was FORCED to buy a $25 lock from them at the time or they would NOT let me get the unit that I reserved on line. Made me pay (prorated) for the 2 or 3 days left at the end of that month when I signed the contract, but they WILL NOT prorate and give you credit if you move out before the end of the month. Prosper Commons has improved over the last 2 years that I have rented. Current weekend staff is very kind and professional. Cleaning is a little better, they now have pest control, and the AC seems to be working better. They've added one more cart. It's hard to get a cart to use at times. They've also fixed the carts where they are rolling better. I occupied one of the larger units in the climate controlled area and moved out yesterday due to constant price increases. My space was pretty clean even though the tops of all the units are open (with a cage on top). read more

My experience thus far with the e-rental process has been good, talking with representatives has been helpful and delightful. I would suggest more detailed instructions on how to initially open the unit for us seniors that are too timid and afraid that we'll mess something up. My COMPLAINT: what I reserved as a 10'x20' unit actsully measures 8.9'x18.25'; seems like false advertising to me (but maybe I'm the only one that measures). I spent time measuring furniture and figured out where each piece would need to be placed around the perimeter, with boxes/bins in the center so I could maneuver around it. I was disappointed to find that the unit was smaller and I have to refigure. read more

This is absolutely the worst storage ever. We rented a 10x20 and it wasn't even close to that. We measured it and it was small and I was disappointed most by the customer service of the lady that works for them name Kimberly. Please do not go to this storage facility. I only rented here because my other storage was completely sold out. Smart Stop storage off of Custer and 380 is amazing and treats their customers great. I would give Public Storage a half of a star if it let me. So disappointed in there units and customer service. read more

This is a great facility and the staff has been excellent. Worked with Kimberly and Linda when we got our first unit and both were friendly, helpful, and helped me get the best deal going at the time. Six months later, we determined we needed a larger unit. We worked with Holly to make it all happen. She spent time going over what was available, taking us to see the unit, and making sure that the person who was going to be covering the office on our move-in date had notes regarding our transfer. The facility is clean, and the climate controlled areas are comfortable (as opposed to merely humidity controlled). read more
