The value is a problem. In the beginning it is very helpful but if you use storage for more than a year, it's better to look elsewhere. I started years ago and their business model is to raise your rent 10% each year and blame it on rising costs. When you move out of the unit, you'll see it added to their available inventory and the reasonable price you should be paying. They will claim it's a special but that doesn't justify the cost difference after 3 or 4 years. No appreciation to long term tenants that keep good standing accounts. Not an issue at the location as it is clean and well kept and the office employee is very nice. This is a management/business model issue. read more

Worst experience ever. I reserved a unit Sunday 10/20 online, they send a link to pay for it which didn't work. I called at least 10 times that day and no one picked up the phones. I called the next day and spoke to the property manager. Told her the situation and advised her I would be going in on Thursday 10/24 to get the unit. She said it was fine and setup the appointment. Just got back from there Thursday at 4:30. The miserable overweight lady sitting behind the desk with a bad attitude tells me they gave the unit away. I told her what happened and she obviously acted like she couldn't care any less. Walked right outta there. Very unprofessional and very shady style of doing business. I will go elsewhere. The facility is clean. The employees are nice & helpful , if it wasn't for the team there I'd put one star... But the rent increases are ridiculous. After 6 months my unit was almost $300. They get you in at a low price and expect you to keep paying. Hoping that one is lazy & will just pay. And my increase happened the same month my unit was broken into. Talk about not being human. The service here is amazing. I needed two storage spaces and I reserved them online (very quick and easy). When I went to check out the units the key code didn't work. The manager on site changed my code right away so that I can finish the move. I would recommend Public Storage to anyone who is moving. read more

Less than 3yrs, watched rent go from 279.37 to 510.00/month, almost DOUBLED! Same for Insurance. VERY EXPENSIVE. Difficult to rationalize such increases! This company lied about everything. No first month free. Raised rate by over 30% within the first two months. Didn't spray for bedbugs. Charged excessive administrative and insurance fees. Cannot be trusted not to really stick it to you once you're moved in there. Information provided on Internet is totally inaccurate. Their gate is a pos. The sensor didnt pick up the fact that my longbed truck was driving through, closed on my truck and damaged it. I reported it to their corporate but they took a report and FAILED to report back to me that they werent going to cover it, I had to follow back up to find out that they wont take responsibility for a malfunctioning gate, the gate shouldnt close if a vehicle is driving through. I would stay clear of this place along with their lousy management that fails to take ownership and tries deflecting blame and not following back up. The #1 thing about Public Storage in general is GREED! They will up your rent every 6 months if they want. They don't care how good a customer you are or how long you've been a customer. $$$Don't forget people!! There are cheaper and clean storage facilities out there. I have been with Public Storage for 7 years. I started out at $200 a month for a 10x20 and the prices kept going up. I was at $400 this year until I found Highway Self Storage in Santa Clarita. I got a 10x20 for $200 and they never raise the prices. Public Storage is highway robbery. The only good thing about the facility I was in was Veronica the office manager. I love her. She made my experience wonderful. I will miss her but I'll be loving saving $200 a month now. Stay away from this greedy company and go somewhere you can save and afford. Highway Storage is amazing. They are so nice and their late fees are 3 quarters cheaper then public storage. read more

I'm very satisfied with my unit and was pleased to find out that if I order my unit online...you get discounts rather than walking in and ordering a unit. So I was very happy about that. The person in charge over there...Veronica...is very kind and helpful and very professional in what she does and very quick with the sign up process. The units themselves are very clean and temperature controlled and there are cameras everywhere and they regularly walk the property to make sure all units are properly locked. I went to rent a 10x15 unit yesterday but have had nothing but problems. I gave my debit card as payment to have monthly payments deducted, but have been charged an additional two times. The onsite manager Veronica has done nothing to help me, hasn't credited my bank account. Basically has done nothing. I asked to speak to the district manager who has yet to return my calls. When you call the customer service line, you get directed to the property all over again. I called the corporate office In Glendale and got put into a mailbox. This was my first time renting a storage unit here. They have good deals but they only last for a month. Depending on your storage needs it can get expensive. The boxes here are expensive, I went to Home Depot where they were cheaper! My friend & I were moving 8 tires into the storage, it would have been better if we could have used the cart. Overall the facility was ok. But I have a huge complaint about the pricing and fees. We specifically went in to the location on July 28th around 6:00pm to ask about the check out process. We were told by the employee that if we checked out before August 10th we would be charged a per diem rate. And then when we actually checked out on August 5th we were told the policies had changed and we would have to pay the full month. Had we known we would have to pay for a whole month if we checked out even one day after the first of the month, we would have moved our things out the weekend before. This is very bad customer service. Policies change on the fly it seems. So, if you do business with these people, make sure everything is in writing. You can't believe anything they say to your face. read more
