Oh my goodness. I lived in the New Orleans East area, for an extended period, and I have not found a place, no not anywhere on Earth, where the people are as respectful and as appreciative, as the people of this area. And the staff at this storage, is no exception. I wanted to mention, 2 of the staff members here, in particular. Miss Andrea and Miss Brandi. They both meet and exceed, my standards for customer service. Polite and profesional in their demeanor, with that same N.O. East welcoming attitude. If there is even a hint of a problem, they are eager to solve it. I intend to keep my storage, at this location, as long as I intend to keep coming back to this area, which I certainly plan to. And, the facility itself, meets all of the basic requirements. Clean and seems secure. I have heard tell, of no problems, in regards to those things. The only problem, that you might find, is that they seem to be frequently low on units, despite being a large facility. But, because they have so many units, both indoors and with street access, a unit seem to become available again, fairly quickly. This is based, on one experience, of which I have had, of wanting to switch, to a unit of a different size. All in all, 5 stars. read more

There is definitely organized theft going on and the manager(black lady with gold teeth) is in on it. I rented 2 units the day I came in to rent the 2nd unit she seemed really nice, but, looking back on our conversation she was baiting me. She complimented me saying every time I see you you look really nice. On the day I moved out my unit unbenounced to me they changed my lock and had broken into the largest unit, my son and I had keys and neither key worked at that unit. Upon emptying both units we noticed 3 t.v missing, then once I started unpacking we noticed clothes and shoes were missing also. I filed an insurance claim and they only paid me 5k. My purses alone were more than 5k, we were missing several designer shoes and clothing. Everyday after settling into my house I become more and more furious, because I put my things there until my house was finished and we were VIOLATED. It's truly disheartening to know that companies put people in place to do a job and they're the people ripping the customers off. I advise Public Storage to do a thorough background check and they should allow the police & the victim to go to the employees house to see if victims items are there. read more

Stay away from Public Storage. They are a bait and switch rip off with the worst customer service. They lure with a cheap rate to start then a couple/few months in substantially raise your rate. Bait and switch. I started with a $129 rate and a few months they arbitrarily raised it by $50. When I set up the rental, I opted for auto pay. They didn't set it up and then charged me a $25 late fee for one day late when I discovered they hadn't set up the auto pay. I agree with the other reviews that the corporate management ids garbage. The people in the store are very nice- The corporation however, is pure garbage. They raised my rates $93 a month after only being there 6 months. (That's 35%!)- AND they didn't even bother to give me notice! I had to fight them and the "regional manager" was completely worthless.
