Yesterday was my first time going to this storage so this is based on my first impression. Brandy was very friendly and professional and so was the guy helping her. Rate goes up every 4 months. It's almost triple from when I started just a year ago. This place isn't even worth it.

HORRIBLE COMPANY AND THIS LOCATION IS THE WORST!!!!! I had storage here for 2 years, they've tripled my rent in this time, my door has NEVER WORKED, it stinks, and they have bugs!!! The worst ever! All rentals are over the phone and they enroll you in automatic payments without asking they tell you the unit is discounted then charge you every five days for something else still waiting on the lock refund which they couldn't reverse they had to mail a check that has been thirty days and still no check but my account was debited in twenty four hours the climate control is nonexistent in that tin box my leather goods was damaged from condensation as well as the mattresses insurance company has yet to respond bad experience in New Orleans Kansas not much better same crap only no person on duty in their buildings you must make an appointment for someone to meet you there twenty four hours later buildings are not safe read more

Easy check-in, clean clean facilities. Only negative customer doesn't answer the phone or at desk for customer waiting outside. Understood if only one person working and has other things going on. At least answer the phone or have a button alert system. read more

At first I was skeptical about getting a storage unit because this is my first time, right when I enter the building to the time I left I felt welcome. There was someone there to greet me when I walked in and the service was outstanding! The location was cleaned and well kept. Jeff was the person who helped me and he was very informative. This is my second time putting my things in this storage facility. The staff is helpful, friendly and the space is secure. I spoke with Demetra at the desk and she's wonderful. I'm a college student and this is a great and cheap place to store your things over the summer. I found a unit for $15, which was $26 total per month. read more

This is the worse public storage unit I have had my things in. On three different days I have gone in and there was no one in the office. This is usually in the afternoon - past lunch time. The carts are in the office, and you have to turn in your driver's license to get one... Thus, with no one in the office, I can never get a cart to move my things. On the fourth day I went in, the girl was "going to lunch" away from the storage unit and would not give me a cart and would not wait the 20 minutes for me to use the cart and move my items. Customer service does not come first at this location. read more

The facility is fine. The storage is fine. This is for the customer service. Today marks the third time that I've come here during posted business hours, yet, the doors are locked. Staff members are visible. Previously they were "on lunch", today- no explanation was offered. What type of business practice is this? Not only did I need to speak with someone about billing, people needed to get carts and other things that are only available during retail business hours. Public Storage on I-10 Service Rd is a great option for people in the New Orleans area who need to store their stuff! I recently moved to New Orleans and needed a place to keep my extra furniture. I found this Public Storage site on-line, on the public storage website. On the website, you'll be bombarded with multiple Public Storage locations, all with different prices and different specifics, but by far, THIS Public Storage site was the highest quality, yet cheapest option for me to meet my needs. I was able to rent a 10X10 self storage unit without difficulty. The process is pretty simple, and takes less than 15 minutes if you do it in person like I did (and probably less time if you complete the paper work on-line). The woman working was very friendly, and was able to answer any questions I had. The entire property was clean and looked quite new, which I don't mind. They have elevator access, wide hallways, and even carts available to make sure that moving your stuff is as easy as possible. There are a couple of "hidden" fees that I think everyone renting a storage unit should know about though... In addition to your monthly rent fee, there's also a one-time $30 lock fee (you have to buy the lock to your unit when you get there), there's also a "new account administration fee" which was $24, and there's a mandatory insurance fee (in order to put your stuff there, you have to get insurance on it), which is $11-$15 per month. I didn't know about all of these extra costs when reserving the unit on-line, and expected to pay $1 for my first month's rent, and $53 monthly thereafter. Instead, I ended up paying more than $60, and will be paying $64 each month. So, the $1 first month's rent deal is a good one, but you end up basically paying the same thing. read more

This has been the worst experience ever! Unfortunately I can't move my stuff out yet. I have been there a year in six month almost. Every six months they have raised my rent...from $75 to $97 and in Dec. the are going to raise it again to $110. I have always paid on time!...it is criminal if you ask me. On top of that the manager is scum. He never returns your phone calls...it takes calling corporate to get anything done... read more

Property is clean, staff even swept our unit while we inspected it upon move-in. I have also seen staff sweeping the exterior of the building while there were no customers in the office and working alone. Very friendly staff who made sure to follow EVERY company policy to lease units. One concern that I mentioned to the staff (they have no control of it anyway) was that the lighting inside the hallway is on an extremely short timer when it doesn't sense any movement. While working and crawling over furniture in my unit, the hall light goes out after what seems like two minutes! A small amount of lighting remains inside the unit (if your unit even has a light above it) but not enough to see well. I've even fallen in there because of the light issue. My suggestion is to bring a lantern of small flashlight. There is also only one entrance to the building which is sometimes problematic as some of the customers have pulled their U-Hall truck right up to the door off-loading their goods in front of the entrance and not leaving space for other customers to come through. Overall rating, staff are great and the building is clean but needs a second entrance. read more
