Moved furniture into a 7.5x10 unit in early 2019. Went to move furniture out in January of 2022 after paying 140.00/month for climate controlled storage and have a sense of security for my property. Upon entering the back area of the facility where customers enter their units the parking lot was covered in ice as water dripped off the ceiling. Opened my storage unit only to find all furniture coverings covered in old water stains. With further investigation my full queen bedroom set, dresser, chest, bed frame, cherry wood dining room set, and coffee and end tables were all destroyed by water damage from the roof of Public Storage. It was clear the leak came from above as the chest was tall and the top was completely ruined with swollen, moldy, and rotted wood. Only water from above could have touched it. I paid for insurance which is the only saving grace, however store at your own risk and read fine print. Public Storage was not even wiling to discuss possible reimbursement for their leaky, faulty building. If I wanted to throw my furniture away I would have done it 2 1/2 years and over $3500.00 ago. Basically I paid thousands for Public Storage to destroy my furniture w/ no offer to reimburse me even a 1/4 of what I paid. The property manger was very nice and apologetic, however no one was in the office when the office hours were listed as available. Overall it's been a horrible experience with little to no help from Public Storage cooperate offices. Horrible experience. read more

Very hard to get ahold of the property manager when I needed him. Not one call back after numerous voicemails. I went there during regular business hours, the doors were locked and closed for the day. It's hard doing business with a company that only shows up when it's convenient for them. read more

The inline rental process was simple and quick.

Signed up late august and was happy to have a climate controlled unit for my stuff. Well upon moving everything in we learned that the ac was not working but were told it would be fixed within the month. Well a month came and went and no ac. So I called corporate to see if something could be done. I was then told the D.M. would be in touch, he never called. I find this very poor business practice. The security gate was broken for the first two months of renting there, they ARE fixed now though. The Bathroom.....I have NEVER seen such a disgusting bathroom! There was pee all over the toilet, no toilet paper, sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, and there was toilet paper stuck all over the floor. Gross. And the most recent thing to disturb me; when we were leaving from picking something up in our unit, we drove by the office door and the property manager was standing half in the front office door and half out smoking a cigarette. If i had seen that when i initially went to sign up i would have turned around and gone somewhere else. In short, this place is poorly run and needs some serious work done. read more

A crack formed on the floor through the entire unit. Everything near the crack is full of mold. The back has water stains. Everything there has mold. Thousands in damage by mold and vermin. The staff refused to assist or access the damage. Im still waiting on the insurance. Negligent people ay best. No beds no couch no chairs... All gone. I have pictures of everything! read more

Rent doubled after 2 years there. Insufficient security -- gates have been broken during winter months for most of the past decade (still broken today)! Bathrooms either closed or disgustingly dirty for most of the past decade. Not enough carts and until this year they were so loud they hurt my ears (they finally oiled them after a decade). Lights are often out. Front doors into building have not closed properly for a decade. About 5 years ago I finally got through to the local area manager who promised to remedy some of the issues above. Absolutely nothing was done for a full year. Finally 3 years later they oiled the 3 available carts. Nothing else was fixed though. This is the worst managed storage facility I can imagine. I am moving out this spring to a nearby non-Public Storage facility with prices 35% less. read more

As the previous reviewers noted, the "temperature control" is variable. They don't maintain this property very well and you will see once you get there. They have a male and female bathroom, but I can't say they are clean or dirty, because they have been locked for over 3 years. There is sever mold issues in the ceilings. Their are rat control bags and boxes to capture them in each unit and if you look up, you may have a rate cage above you. The staff is pleasant on some days and bastardly on most days. This is the worst Public Storage facility that I have seen and I have rented them throughout the United States. PS your rent will continue to escalate each year you stay there, yet when you first move in you get a good rate. Hint...find another storage facility. read more

Needed some climate controlled storage in the Nashua area. This place is very convenient for anybody in Nashua (especially north Nashua). Almost all the units are climate controlled. They do have other locations up in Manchester with more traditional outside storage (we've used them also in the past). There are no lights inside the units. You get illumination from the hallway lights which are in front of every other unit. If you happen to be between two lights like I am, it is a little dark inside. There are no lights directly over the unit but they could have easily designed it to have lights. Clean office. Great parking. Automatic doors at the loading dock. Push carts you can use (there are 3 of them so you might be out of luck on a busy day). There are bathrooms by the loading dock that look clean and modern. Other than the lack of lights, we're pretty happy with them. read more

UPDATE: Tried to update before. They did get a few more carts out now. This is a good storage facility except for the fact that there is only one cart to move stuff from your vehicle to your unit! If someone is there before you, and you want other carts, you have to go during office hours and leave your license to get a cart. (This is due to the fact of some moronic customers who either stole the carts for themselves or left them out in the snow to be ruined.) Although it is understandable that the company is reluctant to buy new carts because of that, it's extremely burdensome, difficult, and annoying to have to either drag or carry your things one by one, or to have to wait. Waiting is futile when confronted by 2 U hauls trying to unload as you drive in. And if you are the unfortunate second person with the truck to unload, you're out of luck! I asked when the company might get more carts, (as I was told may happen by one worker on signing in to the place), I was informed that the Public Storage company has decided not to buy any more for the after hours lobby. A word if warning to potential renters. read more

My code didn't work the first day I had it, but they did just install a new system so that could have something to do with it. Other than that only real downside was the slight tightness of quarters when moving large items. Possible but took a bit of extra navigation. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I was setup on auto pay and they kicked me off without telling me and are now trying to charge me over 400 dollars for 2 months of storage... and threatening to auction off my stuff. I have tried MANY times to reach a manager or a customer service line but their automated line either drops as its connecting me to customer service rep or directs me to the store. The district manager who I called and left messages with apparently doesn't work for the company anymore but no one else is in his place?? And Candice at the store is a B*TCH!! Not only has a bad attitude every time we speak, but also cant do anything to help! She said she does not have any authorization to review a bill or make any changes.. yet she cannot give me a number to someone who can!! What kind of corporation doesn't have a customer service dept!!?? So basically they rape you with late fees/ bounce fees/liens and give you no way to adjust them... and if you dont pay they take all your stuff!!! DO NOT RENT HERE! ITS A SCAM!!! read more

After four years of storing things at this location, we moved out. The rent has increased over $100 a month since we first moved in. Our unit started out at $219/mo and increased to $321 effective 1 March. Candice, the property manager is the best. She does everything she can to keep the facility clean and operational. If I could give stars to her alone, she would get 5. I will miss not seeing her. Brian also works there....not particularly personable, rather arrogant. I won't miss him. The location is easily accessible from Exit 8 off of Rt 3. It is a secured area.....when the gate is closed. The gate has not always functioned properly and is often left open. The sliding doors from the parking/loading area in the back don't close all the way. Maybe someday they'll fix it. There are other locally owned storage facilities in the area now that are comparable to Public Storage. We have taken our business to one of those. read more

The manager is a pleasure to work with. The male employee we dealt with the second time we went there was arrogant and too busy listening to the game on his car radio. Had it cranked up so loud because he was inside the building with the door open. If he had been the first person we talked with, we would have gone somewhere else. Part of the third floor air conditioning stopped working so it got very hot and very humid in there and management would not open the doors to the other storage section to compensate climate. It took them all summer long to fix but not completely. The mail manager at the facility here in Nashua was very arrogant and unhelpful. A lot of the tenants we're angry with him including me.. He was reported to the area manager. read more

First 6 months, no complaints. We were then hit with a 6% rent increase. For three months (Aug-Oct) the hallway light was out. I talked to local management, corporate, and the regional manager. They were not responsive. Now we just got notice of an 11% rent increase. I guess they figure we'll suck it up cause we don't want to move. I just did some research and I found a place, same size for $70 not $94. It is worth moving. Yes, the office portion is clean but go to the back entrance. First, the doors won't close, who's paying for the heat? Second, the floor is not mopped frequently enough. Third, the public bathrooms are a disgrace. I actually have a movie of these conditions. Today the back doors weren't open a foot they were fully open and it's 34°. read more

Tina M, I have been a customer at this public storage for about 6 months now. I do like the location because it is across the street from my complex and really like that the units are inside and climate control. The only problem I have and my fiancee have is one of the employee's Brian. He has no personality at all and seems he cannot be bothered with customers. He waznts to get you in and out in a hurry. I walk in to pay a bill and he does not even say hello or nothing. Like I was invading time playing computer game. He just got up and walked outside while the other employee Candice took my payment and was very pleasant to me. I have nothing but high regard and good word for Candice. A great personality and enjoys chatting with the customers. On the other hand Brian has not personality and not a people person. In my opinion Brian does not belong in a job where he deals face to face with customers. Both my fiancee and I will not deal with Brian at all and if it comes to it we will pay our bill online if we see Candice is not working. But I bet when the big bosses come for a visit Brian is all smiles and personality. IN others words kissing butt to please the big guys. All in all I do like the storage units. Thank-you. I went in on a 1/2 off promotion for the first month. I was told they would honor it on whatever size unit I wanted. I chose a 10x10 but stated that I may need a bigger size once the truck got there to look at the space. I was told that would be no problem they could simply change it if we needed more space. I paid for two months in advance with a promotion for 1/2 off the first months rent. When my truck arrived the same day and after looking at the space they recommended that I chose the larger space. I did and they simply told me told to pay the difference to bring me up to date which I did. When I got a bill in June I called and told them that I had paid through June 30th and I was told that NO I only paid for May. I called customer service and after I explained what happened they told me that they would email the manager and have him adjust my bill for the 1/2 off promotion and I could pay to bring my account balance to zero. I never got a call back. I called and spoke to Candice who stated that the person who helped me initially needed to be properly be trained and she agreed she needed to disclose things properly to the customers and told me to call customer service. Customer service told me not to pay anything on this bill until I got a call from Ron about adjusting my bill. After two weeks I never got a call but I did get a late fee for non payment. I called customer service to get Ron's number and to get the late fee waived. They did waive the fee however, I when I finally called Ron myself and after explaining to him what happened Ron stated that there is nothing he could do and that I lost my promotion when I chose the larger space. he said even if they failed to disclose to me there is nothing he could do or anybody could do even though customer service did say he could adjust the bill. I told Ron that I would be picking up my stuff at the end of the month and that I would inform my over 2500 customers in Manchester and Nashua from my three store locations and that I would have my customers share this through facebook, Ron appeared to have this (I do not care attitude) and was more worried about not honoring a small adjustment rather than having and upset customer over there own mistake. It's not a lot of money we are talking about here and I can afford to pay it but its just that I consider these deceitful practices. I will send this to all my customers and have them share my experience about this store. I truly hope this is an isolated incident. I will not ever recommend this store to any of my customers ever. read more
