We rented what is claimed to be a climate controlled unit but it's hot AF and it wreaks of mildew and dampness. On a visit to drop off more of our stuff @ 3pm in the daytime, the automatic lights weren't working. They're supposed to turn on when you walk in. No one has been there during the "office hours." Today when I called about the lights, i got voicemail. On the way out, we stopped by the office to mention the lights being out and no one was there. Again, office hours are until 5pm and this is 3pm. 1/10 would not recommend. read more

I have had a unit here for years since I live in a one bedroom condo. Shantae and Drew in the office are helpful and reliable. We have not had any issues in our units in the A building. We did have a second unit for a short time in D building which had a problem with mice. The complex put out bait and the problem was remedied quickly. We always put bait in our units. It's to be expected because you never know what the rental unit next to you may be storing. It comes with the territory when you rent any unit anywhere. We will continue to use this location. Lake worth road Publix storage. I wasted an hour waiting and 45 minutes on the phone. When I tried to echeck in. It said go to the office before 4. When I got there, no one was there. Customer service didn't help. They kept transferring me to different people. And hang up on me. I had to call back. Couldn't get the storage because no one was there to assist me. read more

I understand when things happen and the challenges nowadays but the AC went out in the building I use space in and I am paying for the AC for a reason. It gets very humid in these buildings here in south Florida. They are waiting for a long time for parts. I get that but they never notified me and now my stuff has been kept in high humidity for weeks now. Another storage company says they have received several people complaining about the situation. When I did ask about it when I went into the building and noticed how bad it was (and rats everywhere too) they offered me another spot in another building.The door was a roll up door and it is difficult for me to open because of my back. That's all they had as an option. I just had surgery and it's tough to move my stuff. They should have bent over backwards to help me get my stuff there since they couldn't give a time to when the AC would be fixed. The AC has been crappy in that building for a while but at least it wasn't awful like now. It's building "D". read more

Absolutely horrible. I put my apartment inside a climate controlled storage to ensure my stuff would be safe. I come back 3 weeks later to find all my stuff ruined!! Totally devastating! Pictures, clothes all my furniture! There was a line leak on the ceiling I guess from the air conditioner. And the insurance only covers 5000$! And the process alone takes up to a month. During a pandemic when people can't afford to buy furniture for no reason me and my kids are sleeping on air mattresses until the insurance can help us replace our items. It's been 3 weeks. Even after I told the people in the front about the leak two days later I come back to my storage thinking maybe some stuff would be drying up and it still was leaking on my things! Devastating! This has totally emotionally mentally drained me. I had movers go to the storage to do the move and everything was ruined I even lost my deposit with the movers. I am in such a horrible depressing situation because of this PUBLIC STORAGE! read more

Public Storage entices you in with a rent free 1st month and a very low rate. After a few months they raise the rent, then they keep raising the rent on a consistent basis. I rent an inside air conditioned 10x10 unit. I rented it a few years ago for about $70/mo. This year, 1/2022, my Jan. increase brought the monthly rent up to $235 +tx for a total of $250 per month. Once you're settled in they know you don't want to load up all your stuff and move it to another place. I am now looking for a private home with a garage to rent. As soon as I find what I want I am out of Public Storage forever. If you are looking to rent storage space be sure to find out how often and how much your rent will be increased. It might be better to pay a little more initially instead of experiencing those frequent raises. read more

Continually increased rent to a point where it was double that of any other storage company in the area. My belongings were covered, LITERALLY COVERED, in rodent/lizard feces and a fine powder of rust and paint that was raining down from the rotting ceiling. I had to throw away A LOT of belongings because they were ruined by the rusty paint dust and feces. Would have given zero stars but I don't have that option. Stear clear. My sister moved into a new place yesterday and needed some storage. We went to Public Storage on Military trail between Hypo & Gateway. Our lady who helped us was very quick to suggest a lot that would be perfect for the amount of stuff Rachel had to store. She didn't try to sell us a huge unit and make a little more money. The process was quick and easy! In no time she was showing us the storage unit and we were on our way! Easy as that! read more

The staff was knowledgeable, very helpful and extremely patient with me. The representative took to time to let me read through all of the paperwork. You can tell they really care, because as I stood their reading there was a man clearly in crisis and they stopped to help him just out of the goodness of humanity!! DO NOT COME HERE! I found RAT FECES at at the bottom of several of my boxes and on top falling down as I moved out, bite marks through my toddlers sheets, and almost every box and item was infested with roaches!!! What hurt the most is when they called me after move out to demand they're prorated money, they were so rude! The woman spoke to me as if I was lying when I have pictures to prove it. They refuse to help at all and say, "you have to go through insurance." I had to sterilize every item and even throw away some because of the mess this place left. Rip Off...My girlfriend had a unit at this place for two years...For the last three months she has been trying to close her account.The staff has been lost even confused on how to do it.First when attempting to empty the unit they placed there lock on it to which there was no way to remove.We were informed to wait someone comes once a month to cut them.On that day we called they said no one was there and that we should just cut it.So I cut it removed took the things we wanted and left.The beginning of the next month we called to make sure her account would not be charged.We were then told that there was still things inside and that we should remove them.We accepted that and ask if the account could be closed.They said they would call back.A week past no call.So we pay someone to empty it for us and again there is a lock on it and had to break it.So towards the end of the month still no call back my girlfriend calls back asked if the account was closed they said it was.At this point its been two months of trying to end the account..So this month rolls around and we hadn't been back to check the unit.So we call to make sure everything was ok.We were told it was fine and that her account had been closed.Today my girlfriend gets a call from her bank of an overdraft from guess what PUBLIC STORAGE.Now it gets good.We called back and the young man after a verbal lashing from my girlfriend he gives us number of a manager.No answer..Called a couple more times and the phone was cut off.After that we called a 1800 number and got a rude lady who told us since we weren't her ex boyfriend should couldn't do anything.Called back again a got a nice lady who listen and then told us to cancel our debit card cause it would keep happening.And to sue the ex boyfriend.This location should not be used shabby bunch of thieves.. read more
