It was rented with 3/4 tank of gas and I even returned it with a full tank. When I received the confirmation email that I had turned the truck in, I noticed a cleaning charge for 25.00. I called and was told the truck was filthy and needed cleaned. I then called U-haul (main number) and they looked at the cleaning charge on the invoice and said it seemed "strange" because the dealer is supposed to upload photos of anything that needs cleaned and no photos were uploaded. The UHaul operator put me on hold and called the dealer (a perfect storage-Taylors, SC). The UHaul operator said the lady at a perfect storage told her the truck was full of gravel and white pebbles. I'm attaching a photo of the truck just before I turned it in. It looks clean to me.

WOULD NOT GO TO THIS…read moreLOCATION All trucks were already reserved which is understandable so worker Bryce "helped" us in reserving a U-Haul truck at a different location, which was a lengthy process in itself. My fiancé and I drove to the new location and waited for about 30/40 minutes in another line only to find out that there was no truck there reserved for us like promised by worker Bryce. One of the workers at the new location even commented on Bryce being less then stellar in the past as well and making mistakes like this in attempts to rush people out of the store. Now any other store remotely near us will be closing soon, so essentially we drove 3 hours from Atlanta to just drive right back and have to come back all the way to South Carolina again to help our family member move. They said they would call me 3-4 days before the move to go over details with me, that never happened. I finally called them a few days before the move, where someone immediately and very rudely told me that they couldn't move me. They said they were booked up, and didn't have the men. Another guy then tried to tell me that it was an "IT issue" with their central office, not their fault so they couldn't do anything. Through trying to complain about this issue, I was connected back to them and spoke to somebody else. This time his excuse was that a "truck broke down" after I scheduled my move. I do not believe a single one of their ever-shifting excuses. Sure, they're giving me my deposit back and "taking responsibility", but none of that helps me when I have to be out of my place in less than a week. He just kept insisting that someone else can do it (and would not listen when I told him that I did the legwork already and that wasn't true). Do not book with this awful, scam of a company. They will cancel your move and completely screw you over and do nothing to make it right outside of the barest possible minimum.
