I recently popped in to inquire about storage options and…read moreHunter presented the available storage options, current specials, everything included with the monthly storage rate, insurance and even advised me about where my moving company could drop my Pod for unloading into my new storage unit. Hunter was able to single-handedly take the stress of relocating to a new city, down several notches. The next day, she even phoned to see if I had any follow-up questions and provided a resource for moving help should I need some extra muscle to help unload my Pod. Employees like Hunter are the thing that separate the Space Shop Self Storage from the universe of mediocre, run-of-the-mill storage facilities. I highly recommend checking out Space Shop if you have storage needs. They are conveniently located on Woodruff.

I just needed a few pieces of furniture moved from one room to another, a small job. They assured me they could do that at their lowest rate: $239. When the bill came, it looked as though both charges were still there, so I called to ask why. This time, my charges were calculated differently. Now it was essentially $150 labor, $150 travel, and $50 fuel surcharge, totaling $350. That means they charged me $200 to drive 15 miles. Even if they came and returned from the same headquarters-- 30 miles away-- that's high, and I'd be willing to bet they went from job to job but charged every customer the "travel and fuel surcharge" as if they made every trip from their headquarters. Once here, they did a good job! But be advised that they have a different system for quoting than they have for charging, which result in a higher-than-quoted price. That left this customer feeling manipulated. Honesty would be a better policy.
