Hunter was able to single-handedly take the stress of relocating to a new city, down several notches. The next day, she even phoned to see if I had any follow-up questions and provided a resource for moving help should I need some extra muscle to help unload my Pod. Employees like Hunter are the thing that separate the Space Shop Self Storage from the universe of mediocre, run-of-the-mill storage facilities. I booked a move with them and put a deposit down. They confirmed with me that they absolutely had…read morethe availability. They said they would call me 3-4 days before the move to go over details with me, that never happened. I finally called them a few days before the move, where someone immediately and very rudely told me that they couldn't move me. They said they were booked up, and didn't have the men. Another guy then tried to tell me that it was an "IT issue" with their central office, not their fault so they couldn't do anything. Through trying to complain about this issue, I was connected back to them and spoke to somebody else. This time his excuse was that a "truck broke down" after I scheduled my move. I do not believe a single one of their ever-shifting excuses. Sure, they're giving me my deposit back and "taking responsibility", but none of that helps me when I have to be out of my place in less than a week. He just kept insisting that someone else can do it (and would not listen when I told him that I did the legwork already and that wasn't true). Do not book with this awful, scam of a company. They will cancel your move and completely screw you over and do nothing to make it right outside of the barest possible minimum.

She was incredibly welcoming and had tons of advice about our quick move including suggested size unit. She drove us to the different size units and showed us wonderful professionalism and tons of information. She truly loves her job and treated us like family. She offered various purchases to us with included info in a non pushy way. (Lock, packing supplies etc) turns out their prices are very good- I did my research. We signed the contract, purchased the lock from them and begin to move our things. On our second trip to came over and offered us bottled water and checked to see if we needed anything. She personally drives the facility And checks the units daily. Wonderful experience, super helpful and informative, very very sweet, and feeling very happy we are storing our things here while we build. (thats why i am keeping the 5 stars) We signed our storage unit contract in June. November I received a price increase notice. I called Sibbie and she suggested I call customer service (corporate deals with pricing). The online price is cheaper than what i WAS paying and even more cheaper than what the price increased to. I called customer service to see if they could work something out with me. I thought it was unfair the prices were increasing so high. Customer service rep may has well been a robot. She just kept saying "you can expect prices increases at anytime once or twice a year". I asked about loyalty or working with me on price. She just repeated her message. So if you use Public Storage expect exceptional customer service at this location, but definitely not with corporate. And keep in mind they submit price increases once or twice a year. At this rate, my monthly cost could INCREASE $30 or MORE EACH YEAR.

We started with the previous company Simpsonville Self Storage and the owner named Steven. I had picked this storage unit for my mother moving from Texas. When I arrived back from Texas I was surprised the company had been purchased and they had no record of my previous reservation with Steven from Simpsonville Storage. Oh goodness what a mess, I soon learned the previous owner had lied to me and didn't bother to reserve or pass on any information even though it had only been a week. (He knew the business was up for sale and purposely lied to me and mislead me). Upon working with Karen at the new company, She helped me figure out all the paper work and managed to get me a unit the same day! Karen, is amazing! I was in a pickle for sure, and she was able to make it all work for us. I have been very impressed with her service and would recommend this storage facility. Its clean and the new company cares.
