Bryan was so helpful and solve our problems! He went above and beyond to watch out for us as we tried to unload and then move to another unit because the first, we got was too small. During the process we tried to rent online, and the situation was very confusing! But hand it to Bryan, he talked us through it and found the right solution for us right across the hall from our existing unit! This is a very trying time as we move to take care of ill parents and Bryan recognized the pressure and stress, we were under. Bryan went the extra mile to get it right and cut through the confusion. I haven't used a Public Storage facility yet, but based on my phone experience about 5 minutes ago and after reading reviews, it's unlikely I will. I was looking online at advertised prices...small 5x5 units are ranging $17 to $20/month. I called and talked to someone named Robert (Stacy Rd, Mckinney) to question how long the advertised price was good for as the website notes no contract, month-to-month, etc. Good for just the first month? 6 months? 12 months? Robert informed me that the units stay at that rate "generally around 6 months". After that, there will be a price increase. How much was my question because I don't want to move stuff in only to have the price escalate so much that I have to relocate things in 6 months. Only response he could provide was "a percentage". OK, so what percentage. He doesn't know. Market value, he said. Sounds sketchy to me. Bait and switch? I'd rather go somewhere, pay more, but know that my price would remain fairly consistent for the long term. I understand prices do increase, but as with a lease, a person knows exactly how much they will be paying for a given period of time. No maybe's about it. read more

Terrible service, never return calls. I mentioned the light sensor was not working when I moved in AUG, now JAN and its still not working. They just say "yea its not working" Which means using a cell phone light to go thru my boxes in the dark. Not convenient to hold cell and try to open boxes. They said they would give a discount but never did. Now they are raising the rate $68. But make no problem to fix the lighting issue. I have 3 units, So rather than try to convince them to "do the right thing" I moved out. read more

Since renting our 10 x 10 second floor unit in January 2022 our monthly rate has increased from $110 to $138 to $164 this month. That's a whopping 49% increase in a little over a year. I'd avoid this place, on our last visit a few weeks ago one of the elevators was out of service and it looked like it had been out for a while. On our prior visit, the large door for exiting was broken which meant we had to back up the entire length of the facility, maneuvering around trucks and vehicles to get out. This facility was bought from a private owner by Public Storage about 10 months ago. Since then the management has been quite poor. I tried to access my unit on the fourth floor to take the lock off, as I was moving out of the unit and was leaving town for 2 weeks. They demanded the lock be taken off before they'd mark it as empty, otherwise they'd charge me for another month, so I made a special trip there to take the lock off. Neither of the elevators were working, no one was in the office, not answered the phone, and you cannot access the floors from the stairwell. So there was no way for me to take the lock off my unit. They eventually returned my call and said the elevators were working, but they'd just installed a new system that you had to enter your access code to get the elevator to work (this, without sending out any email letting their customers know, nor putting up any signage to the fact. I guess they just expected you to figure that out on your own). They said they weren't in the office because they were at the bank. They basically said too bad. Despite the fact they'd neglected to give any notice about access changes, not bothered to put up any signage to the fact, and were out doing errands instead of being in the office, I was required to come back to take the lock off or they'd charge me another month rental fee. They said it was "impossible" to give we a week grace period, despite their mistake. Sounds like baloney to me. read more
