I am being charged for a storage locker that my ex-girlfriend trying vacated, with manager Irene and assistant Chris being the last to access it. Despite reporting the issue, I am still being charged. Is it fair to hold me responsible for these charges? I went on their app to rent a unit by mistake i rented a parking space. I was at property only to find out it was a parking space. I told Mike at property i couldn't use. I needed a outside storage unit which they didn't have available but i was still charged $30.09 for using app even though, i couldn't rent because none were available. No one was able to help me out. So i don't get charged for a rental unit, i couldn't rent. Public storage are thieves and there should be special situations where administration fees can be reversed in special situations. Please don't use app and if you must refrain from using public storage. Find a somewhere where they are reasonable with customers and wont rob you as everyone there is powerless, in helping their customers. A word of advice. read more

The fact that I am threatened with my lockers going to auction because I am not even 30 days over due on my payments is incredulous! And then to continue raising the rent to somehow make it impossible to catch up so you can get the units to auction is very devious as well!! Being homeless was not my choice, being jobless does not help either. But it seems that every turn I make is the wrong one, this is also true of my decision to use Public Storage as my storage provider. I have to say that I was impressed with the facility. this was my first time ever renting a unit and it was a very easy process. I was able to rent the unit online, and then in the morning I received a text with an entry code for the gate and instructions for my unit. My only critique is one that really can't be on the company itself because I chose to rent an outside unit. There were some spiders I had to sweep out, but the locker itself was in great condition and it is well kept. I also met one of the owners, Lori on my first day. She is very nice, helpful and told me about the app. The app is great for accessing the gates, making payments and other stuff I haven't explored yet. Bottom Line: As a first time renter of a storage shed, I feel confident that my items will be secured and that the property management is competent and good at what they do. I would highly recommend renting a storage locker here if you are in need for one. read more

When we first rented our unit the rent was $134.00. Something around that maybe even a little lower. Granted we did not expect to have the unit as long as we did (36 months) but by the time we had to look for another place for storage due to an elderly parent I had to move in and care for our rental was $355.00!! Then I called to get information on moving my items out. I was told that we would be reimbursed for unused days. We moved out after the rent was taken at the first of the month. Our unit was cleaned out by the 4th of that month. We didn't get our refund for the rest of the month. I was then told they don't refund for unused days! WHAT??! If I had been told that in the beginning we would have not worked ourselves so hard to get it all out in one day!!! VERY disappointed and for that reason I can't recommend this business. Initially I had given the location 5 stars when I started with the storage service a year ago. Starting service, they were awesome but when it comes to canceling it, they were not understanding to a customer's needs at all. I contacted the direct office, Customer Service and also the General Manger of the area and after starting with paying over $148.00+ a month for a big unit until the end of the time period, when I got a smaller storage unit for $79.00 (after multiple price hikes during a 4 month window, started at $60.00), I was not given time to remove my things from storage due to the fact their office closed at 6pm. I could not make it out there in time to get the small items that were left out of the unit due to working over 30 minutes away and did not have the ability to leave my job without getting fired. But they don't care. They just wanted to charge me another month for $79.00 instead of allowing me time to get my things out of storage, before the 9pm access time ended. I am very aware that they do one last check for vacated storage units around 9pm so they could have allowed me the time remove the 5 small items that I had there. Instead, they would rather charge my credit report with an unpaid balance and still charge a dump fee due to the fact that I stated they could keep the item in there since I could not make it and they would not allow me an exception, this one time. I am very dissatisfied with this unit and will never rent from them again. Buyer Beware! If you ever get a storage unit from them, please move out a WEEK before to avoid a headache. read more

IT CAN'T BE JUST ME ??? What a joke this place is. I needed a 5x10 and I was told they only had one space indoors and that I would be paying top dollar for it because of how limited the spaces were. ( $75.00/month) 5 months later, $75.00 became $86.00 with no explanation. You also need to be aware that this place won't allow you to use your own lock on certain spaces. They don't mention this until after you sign the contract and there is no mention of that either. $20.00 charge for a special cylinder that only works on their doors. It must be asking to much to be able to return the cylinder after you move out and consider the $20.00 a retainer. Who would ever know where or who would end up with that same cylinder. BS they can't re use it. It may not seem like much, but add that to all the other fees and it could hit you pretty hard. My experience with them has been terrible and I just felt like they were squeezing me for whatever they can get. No courtesy and no respect or regard. It's all about the mighty dollar$$$$$. They can kiss my A** and I won't ever even consider going back again. ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION- Take your monthly rent and multiply by the number of months you expect to use the space. This is a great place to store your overflow stuff. It is well lit, clean and easy to navigate.there are always carts waiting for you at the door. I recently left an expensive item outside my storage locker. I only remembered it when I was going back to get more. I went to the office and asked if they had found it and Laura jo said yes. she saw that it was an expensive item and put it in a safe place and I was able to pick it up. She sure saved us a lot of grief and I'm very happy to have her and Debbie working there. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean safe storage facility read more

The facility is clean and secure, just what you want when looking to store things for a period of time. I was in the process of selling my home and purchasing another so needed to store things for a little bit. Rented a 10x10 exterior unit (drive up). I was worried at first, as the day after I put a few of my nice things in storage it never stopped raining. I went after all the rains and the unit remained very dry with no issues. Facility is poorly maintained. Water was leaking through light fixtures during a rain storm. Employees are rude and incompatant. Parking is insuffient. Gate codes don't always work. Prices are too high and fluctuate. Poor management of staff and staff has virtually no people skills. Overall I don't know how this Public Storage stays in buisness. read more

I have been a long standing customer at the Public Storage Facility. Recently I cleaned out most of my belongings, but still needed to store what was left. Paula, was absolutely wonderful in helping me get a smaller unit. She prepared all the paperwork while my brother-in-law, sister and I moved what was left into the smaller space. When I was done, I simply signed and initialed the new paperwork where appropriate and Paula gave me my new facility code. We were on our way in no time. Recently I have had a issue with this faculty. My account was up to date until I submitted an electronic check on July 23rd. I was contacted and told that my check was retuned and I was being charged $25 for a bad check fee. I didn't understand and called my bank right away. I talked with Cindy at Chase who was as confused as I was, they did not return any check, and if I entered the wrong numbers in it would have been kicked out and would not have let me submit it. When I asked PS for answers they had none. I was given the DM's number (Curtis Hinz) and called and talked with him. He was just as rude and when I explained that I didn't write a bad check he refused to take off the $25 charge and told me it had to be paid before the 1st or I'd get charged more fee's (this was July 31st when I was contacted) so I came home from work, got on line to pay it again and it would only take electronic check, CC section was down, again I entered my numbers in and it accepted my payment and sent me an email conformation. I didn't think anything about it. Thought it was paid and all was good. I went into Public Storage on August 11th to pay my bill, again they said my check was returned and charged me another $25 AND put a $57 lien fee on my unit. Now I have $107 in charges for bad checks I NEVER WROTE. (They are saying I put in the wrong routing numbers and account on the 23rd and 31st) I went into chase, had them print out my bank statements so I could 1.) prove I have money in my account and 2.) show that my bank WAS NOT returning the electronic check, I was also told by the bank, if I was putting in wrong numbers that it would be rejected. When I presented the information to Laura Jo, she told me I had to call customer service, which I did from their office, the lady in the phone was RUDE and telling me they have me on check hold for bad checks...and I don't pay my bills (yet as of July 1st I have a zero balance on my account) AGAIN, I DID NOT WRITE A BAD CHECK, it was so insulting. Laura Jo was extremely helpful on this Monday the 11th telling me she understood. She took my paperwork and asked me to go home and print out my conformation emails and she would present the paper work to the DM Curtis Hinz. I thanked her and left. The next day Tuesday the 12th I came back in with the confirmation emails printed off to give to her, her attitude had changed (the DM was in earlier that morning) There was another customer in front of me when my boyfriend and I walked in, I waited and he stepped aside and she asked for the paperwork, I handed her the copies and then she proceeded to tell me, in front of the customer and my boyfriend that I have no money in my account. When I tried to explain that you read the bank statement from bottom to top, she then said "I don't know why I'm arguing with you, this all goes to the DM, and he will make the decision" i have never been treated so poorly by a place of business in my life. read more
