Public storage are a bunch of crooks. I have been renting units for years now. For some reason they tell you one price then a month or two months later it doubles. When you go online and look at the pricing it's half the price. So for the fourth time I will be moving my storage unit to another storage unit on the same property which is so stupid.why can't I just get the rate that is posted online. Instead I have to go take everything out and put it in another storage unit to have the same thing happen in a couple months. After researching moving companies to transport our belongings across country, Nick, w/ Extra Space Moving called us. He said our info came across their board, & he wanted to offer us a quote. After asking a series of questions, we were quoted a very steep price. He said the price was due to our extra large furniture, massage chair, & our 1000lbs cement statue. We explained that we received better quotes elsewhere. He said that he would match the other offers we received. After about a week of not hearing from us, he called, & texted us several times. (We have the texts, & phone records to prove it.) We told him that we chose a different moving company. He began to question who we chose, then told us everything bad about that company's track record. We told him that we still weren't Interested, but he continued to call, & kept offering us better prices. We asked if there were hidden charges, or fee's that would mysteriously arise, & he said no. After a few more calls made to us, we agreed to hire them. We read, & signed everything online, then paid the deposit. We then asked for copies of what we signed, & a receipt. He said the movers will bring it on moving day. The day of the move, the movers (Lonnie Wilson, his wife, & another guy) walked our house, & said they need to charge for the extra large items, the statue, & the breaking down of the massage chair. We explained everything was paid in full, but Lonnie said they never receive anything from brokers, & that we are to pay after they walk our home, & give us a price. Several thousand dollars later, & a large quantity of our things being left because everything didn't fit in the semi, we were SEVERLY taken advantage of. Tenisha,Tenashae, or Tisha, whatever her name is, brings a really bad name to the property. She has some kind of attitude issue for some reason even though I was nothing but cordial. I've rented multiple storage units across multiple states in my lifetime, and never have I ever gotten a phone call from the facility telling me to stop 'loitering' while waiting for an uber from the premises. Also, never have I ever received either phone calls or emails (of which I received both) for leaving the property shortly after access hours although entry was accessed with plenty of time. Will never rent from Public Storage again because of her. Shame. read more

I reserved a storage space online and downloaded the app. Went to access my unit but could not get in the gate using the remote app. I had to get out into the rain to type in the entry code. Once in, I had no clue of where my unit was located. Had to get out in the rain again to go in the office, which is outside of the gate to ask for help. The unit does what it needs to do, but I need the remote access operable. That was one of my deciding factors for choosing this spot. read more

Let me start by saying this, do not rent from Public Storage. Reason 1. They don't allow anyone to voice there problems to a District Manager or a General Manager trust me I have tried. Reason 2. My lights outside of my bay has not worked in the last 4/5 years. Reason 3. My lights inside of my storage unit has not worked in the last 4/5 years. Reason 4. My roof for my unit leaks when its raining. Reason 5. I am not allowed to put my lunch garbage in the dumpster that's in a small bag. Reason 6. Rats and Roaches (never had that before) Reason 7. When I was getting ready to leave there for a 10' x 20' my regular monthly rent was $351.55 which is very high and in the last 2 months it jumped to $451.72 a month, anyway I'm at a new storage 10' x 20' for $179.00 total that includes tax and insurance. read more

This place is horrible I pay for a lock having this over 5 years and without notice almost paying 230 a month for this small unit come and find out my lock was removed without notice. I get an appointment the next day to get my stuff out because I don't trust them anymore and they not even here so whats the point of calling customer service if this place is closed. So after a few months of having a low rate. They decide to more than double my rate. N the manager will not respond, call back or answer phone calls so I can ask how they justify the doubled rate. Do NOT store your items here! We were going to use this facility to store work documents. We wound up not needing it after all and scheduled the close out of the account (as you can see in the attached pic). They continued to charge us for the unit because we didn't remove the lock, even though they never contacted us to tell us this. Then they said we had to come in person to handle the situation. I went first thing of a morning and waited for 50 minutes after their opening time. Noone showed up. I have left numerous messages with them that they never return. Absolutely horrible customer service! Every one of the staff needs to be fired and replaced if that's how this location is going to be run. There are plenty other options in the area, so go with someone else! read more

After I switched to a smaller less expensive unit... they raised my rent 100.00 more than my first more expensive one within 3 months. There are rat droppings all in my storage unit. I was going to use the insurance to clean my belongings from rat poop and the company wanted receipts for all of my belongings to be able to claim. The problem with that is I was spring family heirlooms and I did not have receipts for my grandma and great grandmas antiques. Needless to say I had to pay to have my belongings cleaned out of pocket. This place is a rats nest. read more

The biggest rip-off on earth. They advertise a monthly price, but every few months, you could get a price increase. It's not like you have a lease for a year. I started renting a 5 x 10 outdoor accessible for $150 a month in January 2022. It was raised before, and raised last month, to bring my new fee to $220. That's a 50% increase in a YEAR. To make their scam even more unbelievable... They're now advertising this same space for $97!!! How is this possible!? What kind of games are they playing here!? A few years ago I used this facility, After almost 2 years of no problems, My debit card was compromised so my bank closed it and issued me a new one. I called to tell them the new number and they said I needed to come in as they couldn't take it over the phone. At the time I was caring for a terminal parent , who needed me to be there every day on my lunch hour and after work. I was also a single parent raising two girls who were very busy with various school groups. They said I was late, I explained that I just couldn't get there, can i please fax my card over. They said no, I had to bring it. I just couldn't find the time. I called multiple times over the next 7 weeks, pleading for them to just let me fax them a copy of the card. They refused. I was finally able to get there when I was two months behind, and they said sorry, they sold my stuff. I was devasted but I was late, and I was willing to accept that I was not blameless. However, last week my daughter reserved a unit at this facility. She got a confirmation text yesterday. She arrived witj her uhaul this morning and Cassandra told her that she rented it to someone else. If you read the fine print, even if they confirm it the day before, if someone walks in and wants it you lose. My daughter was there with her uncle. They were waiting for her to offer a different unit, but she just said goodbye. Later we called and asked for the facility manager, and Cassandra responded, I can't pronounce her name" This facility is poorly run and has absolutely the worst customer service avail ever. read more

It's a storage unit..... the only thing is that it's outside. I have electronics that have to be stored and an outside unit might have an effect on those items. Besides that, the customer service was great! Friendly personnel, clean workplace appearance and timeliness of assistance made it worthwhile for me and my wife. read more

Highway robbery. Purchased room online. When i went to see it, in order for you to get to it, you have to go thru a small door, then thru a very narrow alley, the room had a lot of water stain' on the floor. Went back to the office, spoke with the lady in charge in which she told me that the only thing I could do is upgrade to a bigger room, and which was over $100 more a month or cancel, and the money was not refundable, even though I never touch the room. I had to go to another storage company called EXTRA SPACE in which I highly recommend for its customer service and super clean rooms. My recommendation is before you purchase online. Terrible storage facility. Price was increased by $150 after the first month. Upon moving out, the manager threatened to tow our storage pod that we were using to empty our existing unit. The manager there has terrible customer service skills, doesn't appropriately response to questions asked, and closed the door on our face when we were speaking to her. She also closed our account with public storage and locked our pod prior to us cancelling the unit. Totally unprofessional. There were also sever cockroaches in our items upon move out. Management was super helpful. I was patiently shown three different size units. And I chose to upgrade to a 10x10 with the help of April (omg I hope I got your name right...she was working this morning and was so helpful and sweet). The facility is super spacious and easy to access. I was expecting a confusing experience but the pricing and managing of my unit were explained to me in a very easy to understand way. So the first time I rented here it was okay but the second time around I was annoyed. I hate the prices fluctuating all the time and sometimes it's ridiculously high. Also, ask questions and know what is going on because they don't always give you the info voluntarily. For example, when renting an upstairs unit, ask how many floors and where the unit is because we stupidly didn't think to and wound up on the third floor which is annoying. I wish they specified in the description which floor. I didnt even know they had a second floor nevermind a third. Ask ask ask. And don't use the online chat if you can help it. They don't offer the best info. And prepare for your move if you need a cart or dolly to help because we were told they had something we could use, what they didn't say was that there was only 1. I dont get 800 units and only 1 cart. I think that as a company, they should have some benefit to being a customer. Like since we were upgrading to a bigger unit in the same location, they should've waived the administrative fee for us. Something like that. But they didn't. The transfer has to be done in office which means you lose out on the erental discounted price. We've never had issues with stuff being stolen and the people in the office are super nice and helpful where they can be but these are just little things that I think could be improved upon. Also I felt kind of duped when the first unit said "inside unit" and I thought that "inside" meant there would be AC... wrong. Look for "climate controlled" if you want AC. I didnt know then but I know now. Overall it's a decent place to rent. You just have to make sure to ask all your questions to make sure you're comfortable with where your space is if you have the option to be selective. read more

Went in to the Sample Road store and had a fabulous experience. We had visited the store on Coral Ridge the day before and we dealt with a lack-luster sales person. What a difference driving a mile or two can make! Iris was fabulous! She was helpful, understanding, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor! We had a great experience. I recently had an unexpected move come up and when I returned to this location for my storage needs the manager Fred went above and beyond to accommodate me. Fred was able to get me the size unit that I need, with climate control and easy access for my movers to deliver my items.
