I cannot say enough good things about this Public Storage location. I had rented at a couple of other facilities in town and had experienced everything from fire ant infestation, to theft, to banged up and filthy units at those locations. When I call this Public Storage, I was immediately welcomed by Joanna, the manager, and given the VIP treatment! She was wonderful from the first call and has been exceptional to work with for more than 2 years, since I first stored my items! A heads up: You will pay more at this location because it is close in, and yes, many USC students rent at this location during the school year, so it stays booked up most of the time. They typically have a waiting list. I was fortunate enough to rent in the summer when they had a few units available. It has been absolutely THE BEST experience I have EVER had at a storage facility! I kid you not! You won't find a more professional, friendly, caring, and accommodating person at any storage facility (and I speak from experience! I have rented units over the years in several cities. NOT ONE has compared to this one!) to take care of you and your items, than Joanna. She has been there for over 9 years, and loves her job. It shows in the way she takes fabulous care of her customers and makes every call, interaction, or conversation so pleasant and positive! I highly recommend you call this Public Storage FIRST. Hopefully you will find a vacant unit to rent. They are highly in demand. I was very disappointed by this particular location. I tried to secure a new unit here so I could move my business storage unit closer to my home and was immediately told by the agent that I would pay $20-$50 more per month for the same size unit at her location compared to their sister property a few miles away. Because they were closer in town and stayed fulled with students. I was also told the property could not accommodate deliveries from a 18 wheeler if needed. I was given a quote of $150 for my initial move-in fee although there was a promotion running for $1.00 move-in special. However, this promo was never discussed with me. I did end up renting from the sister property at the Garners Ferry location. But found out that all the above was not true so I could have been closer to my house which was the whole reason I moved my original storage unit in the first place. I think because it was around closing time the agent just didn't want to assist me. There were several other storage facilities in between the two locations so I could have chosen a different company altogether and Public Storage would have lost a rental. Representative welcomed me warmly to her location...explained the needs that I had and asked if she had solutions there on site...Discussed my situation, we came to an agreement on what type unit would be needed as well as accessories that would come in handy and from there proceeded to authorize all required paperwork...and Joanna answered all questions knowledgeably as well as professionally. We needed a second unit after we had already loaded up the first unit. It was after office hours and we were in a bind. Joanna went above and beyond to help us out so we did not have to pay the movers for another day. She was very helpful and willing to work with us and we appreciate her doing so. Customer service has always been friendly here. Joanna is a very sweet young woman. Smiles and knows my name. Asks me about my family and really takes the time to show she cares about her customers. Even when I am running late I don't get any angry calls like some places she calls just to see when you are planning on stopping by to see her. Great customer service. Property is small so it can't handle large trucks and with it being the busy season there aren't that many units or specials available. Never had any issues with this property like some of the other managers at other locations. They are friendly,truthful and do everything they can to help you get the right size at best price even if not at their location. read more
