What an embarrassment. They put me in a unit that has a broken door. I didn't find out about it until I filled up the unit. Now I've been trying for weeks to get them to fix it. I get nothing but empty promises. Please check your door before you move in. They will not inspect prior to you purchasing a unit. In fact they don't care. The sign up process went very smooth. Tempestt was especially personable and nice, a pleasure to talk to and work with. Very knowledgeable.

After moving my stuff in I informed the Mgr that the 2 flouredcent lights were burnt out. Mgr said they really can't get in there once you move in. Says they don't have a ladder to reach the lights. The whole climate controlled building smelled like moth balls. Dead insects all over the floors. Worst storage ever. read more

Mice infested, mice shit all over the area. I will NEVER be okay with this expiernce, I moved in less then week find out they have mice after I paid 171 for unit 195 for my movers, I moved out 3 days after my movers did the job when I find out about the mice. I contacted ZOE the property manager she has no customer service and doesn't need to work here she does nothing to help very rude. I contact the "WE CARE LINE" THEY DONT CARE to get refunds I was told they were approved hours later denied which is is beyond me. Bertha the district manager does not return calls neither does customer care managers. I HATE THIS PLACE AND WILL BE GOING TO BBB. THEY ARE THE WORST PLEASE DO NOT RENT IF UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND MICE, RUDE WORKERS, AND WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Rat infested, they only give packs to throw in the storage and keep them away but no use. Rat feces is covering everything in my unit. Also, price doubled and I haven't even had it a full year. Will try to add photos asap, before I pay someone to clean it out and move my stuff. Will have to throw away a 3 month old sectional. read more

When I signed up for the storage otcwas $1, howecer after all the fees and mandatory insurance it was full price. Add to it I was told one thing and next I get called from the so called manager try yo collect outstanding balance that was due 15 prior to the due date. After me telling her what I really thought the conversation ended by my phone got disconnected. Now, today 4 days prior to my next due date I can't get into my storage, and my acct is up to date. I do not recommend this location if you are looking for storage. I have a unit that floods every time it rains with no relief in sight, and apparently I am not the only one. Check a review from another tenant date 5 days ago. I wonder if her unit is near mine! I have been a Public Storage client for years, currently renting a climate controlled unit on South Cooper. On September 1, I discovered the unit had been flooded from rainfall. I had not been to the unit in several weeks, and the water appeared old. It was black and the entire building in which the unit resides had a pervasive, musty stench. The property manager said they had noticed the smell but did not know where it came from (or bother to find out). She provided me a mop to get the water out and said the leak would be fixed. The property manager later said the leak was repaired on September 8. On September 9, it rained again and the unit was flooded again. No further action was promised by Public Storage. I left voicemails for the District Manager on September 19 and again on September 24 with no response. There was light rain on September 22, and the unit had standing water again when I checked it on September 24. I asked about moving to another unit in the building but none are available. There doesn't appear to be any action to resolve the leak or any compensation for the time I've spent, now on three occasions, mopping dirty water. This flooding is a serious problem and appears to be another symptom of the property maintenance trending downward over the years. For months, the door on the east end of the building in which my unit resides has been broken and can be opened without entering a code in the keypad. They replaced the keypad but did not repair the door. The last time I asked about it, an employee told me it would not be repaired because the building is climate controlled, but not secure. Maybe it is climate controlled, but it isn't flood controlled. read more

She drove me to my unit so I knew exactly where it was and how to work the lock. She helped me load the boxes I bought into my vehicle...I could go on all day. This Public Storage (and I assume ALL locations) are THE WORST! Do your research before you rent. I wish I had. There are so many awful reviews, unethical or even illegal practices Public Storage is known for, especially their insurance scam. But the main reason I hate them is because they increase your rate every year DRASTICALLY! This year it went up $40 PER MONTH! And it went up around the same amount last year. They hold you hostage because they have your stuff and they know it will be more expensive to transfer it somewhere else. Stay away! read more

I've had numerous storage units over the years in various states. My first experience with Public Storage will be the last. This location the Property Manager is extremely rude. They add Adriana's charges. Don't get a lock off them. When your less the 30 days late they change your lock out & put additional lock on. So they have a extra key for lock you pay 20.00 for from them. All around a bad choice!! read more
