The nitty-gritty details: I showed up Sat. Dec. 5 in the afternoon to pay my bill , when a new employee I had never seen before tried to tell my unit was being foreclosed on. I had made payments every month and was current on my rent. Then she admits to me the previous staff was embezzling from them. They lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Despite the fact she knew their former employee had seriously screwed up the books, it took 3 hours to get it partially straightened out. I have audio recordings. So I get into the unit and discover the water damage. I try to move out and get my money back. She says I need to be out by Dec. 8 or 9. I get my stuff moved out by scheduled close of business on the 9th. They are also raising the rent by about 25%, just because they can. The previous manager had sworn up and down they would never raise the rent. Definite bait and switch, after I invested the time, energy and money to move in. I spoke with the new manager who says they have no way of knowing if the water damage was preexisting. Essentially they are trying to say I my stuff was water damaged when I moved in and then I proceeded to leave it untreated in the unit for 5 months. I also have pictures showing the mold still on the walls nearly a month after I moved out. No return contacts from the manager, supervisor or owner despite the fact I was promised a return contact.

Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. By the end of the day I was told it would have to be Sunday instead. This created some significant problems but I was willing to work with them. On Sunday, I was told it was going to have to be moved to Tuesday. It just so happened that I was going to be out of town on Tuesday and couldn't receive the second part of the move. I was told that would be rescheduled at my convenience. The bulk of the move did actually happen on Tuesday. When the day came for the second part of the move to happen, which was only a bed and a grandfather clock, I got put off again, from Saturday to Sunday. And on Sunday, right at the end of the agreed-upon window, I got a call asking for more money to complete the job. I was informed that because of my inability to receive the second part of the move on Tuesday, I was going to have to pay more. No matter that I was available to receive it Saturday, Sunday, and even Monday if that had been an option. The delay was not due to any action on my part and was actually very stressful for me. Yet I was at fault for not being available on Tuesday at the second location. My big mistake was not reading enough reviews before hiring this company. Although they have some good reviews, and I have no doubt they can do a good job, several other people have reported having issues similar to what I experienced. Had I seen those accounts I probably would have looked for someone else to do the move. I do not recommend this company for your moving needs.
