When placing my order, I specifically informed him that I have a severe food allergy and could not have any bleu cheese on my salad. Because of the allergy, I expected a fresh salad to be prepared without bleu cheese. Unfortunately, when my salad arrived, it appeared that the bleu cheese had simply been removed from an already-prepared salad rather than a new salad being made. After stirring the salad, I discovered additional pieces of bleu cheese that had been left behind. This was extremely concerning and unacceptable, particularly after I had clearly communicated that this was a serious food allergy and not simply a food preference. I became very sick to my stomach after discovering the remaining bleu cheese. I want to make clear that I do not fault our server, Carlos. He was extremely apologetic and immediately offered to have something else prepared for me. However, after what occurred, I no longer felt comfortable trusting the kitchen to safely prepare another meal. Restaurants have a responsibility to take food-allergy notifications seriously. Attempting to remove an allergen from an already-prepared dish rather than preparing a fresh meal can potentially have serious consequences for someone with a severe allergy. Based on this experience, I would not return to this location and would caution anyone with serious food allergies to be extremely careful when dining here.

The meat is fantastic, the bun is excellent, but I'm just not a special sauce kind of person. All they need to do to make their burger really awesome is to carry some BBQ sauce. That's it. But burgers, wings, fries, this place offers a number of things that could be elevated by keeping a few bottles of BBQ in the fridge. Just give me the option, you don't even need to list it on the menu. I used to love the beef stroganoff that they had for a while, but I guess it must not have been popular because they got rid of it. It seems that in it's place they started offering a Shepards pie. I was excited about this meal until it arrived and the potatoes were filled with cheese. A Shepards pie does not traditionally have any cheese. So it is probably a good idea for the menu to mention that it is in there. In any case, I tried to order it sans the cheese but I guess it is pre mixed into the mash or something. They cant make it with no cheese. :( Lastly, and most depressingly, they took the shrimp appetizer off of the happy hour menu! This was a real kick-in-the-dick for me. I have probably came to BLVD Grille at least 10 times in the last year specifically because the happy hour $5 shrimp appetizer was so outstanding. I am genuinely depressed that they took it off the happy hour menu. I haven't tried the steaks yet, I want to, but most days, I'm just looking for some shrimp, a side of fries and a drink. I haven't given up on this place yet, but I feel like I'm losing my favorite menu items one by one.
