VGK hockey!

Decent PT's Gold with friendly service. We sometimes go here to watchLas Vegas Golden Knights games. They have a great happy hour and the typical bar food (burgers, wings, fries, cheese sticks, nachos) and pretty good, cheap breakfast. The only thing I don't like is it is soooo smoky in here. Even if you sit at the tables it is still a bit stuffy but I guess that's what you get when you are in a Vegas gambling tavern. The pretzel covered cheese Curds are really good. The weird honey mustard sauce that accompanies it ruins the flavor. It would be a lot better with ranch or marinara sauce.

I've always had great service and good food from this location. I've been coming once a month or so since I moved into the area a year ago. We are always coming in for the half-price breakfasts. They allow me to sub tomatoes for the potatoes when I order the build-your-own omelet. Great value and happy to please the customer. Sometime we will remember to try them for lunch or dinner. For now, breakfasts here are a winner!

We are new to the area and my wife and I are establishing our new "Go To" list of restaurants. As this place is less than a mile away from our house we were coming in with high hopes. We were there on a Sunday afternoon about 5pm. There were a total of 4 other customers. Our waitress was friendly and quick to greet us/take our orders. We ordered the French Dip and Philly Cheesesteak. Our waitress made sure that our drinks (iced tea) were never left empty. Shortly after taking our order, our meals arrived. I had the Philly Cheesesteak (pictured). It was quite small for the money and the meat was overcooked. Any moisture from the sandwich was from the peppers. The fries were okay at best. My wife had the French Dip (pictured). It was also small and overcooked. The dip was flavorless - more like a brown broth. I understand that PT's is a chain of restaurants and we have eaten at other PT's (including the one on Blue Diamond a mile away). You would think that the menu faire would be the same....you'd think! The food tasted much better at the other establishments. Not on our "Go To" list, unfortunately! We had looked forward to having a close place to regularly drop in for convenience.

So because I'm pregnant I couldn't go to PT's so we decided to order for pickup. I ordered the Club wrap, my husband ordered the Cheese Steak and we ordered chili cheese tots. My wrap was disgustingly salty and the mayo was warm and gross. I was sadly and extremely disappointed. My husband opened his Cheese steak and let's just say the sight of it threw us off. He said the cheese steak was ok, but he was upset that he paid extra for onion rings and only received 6, yes 6 onion rings. The chili cheese tots were the best and that's not saying much. All of the chili and cheese was on one side and there wasn't very much to begin with. Ps, I had my husband taste my wrap just in case my tastebuds were out of whack since I am 30 weeks pregnant and he confirmed that it indeed was. I know this location is new and all so I'm hoping that it'll get better.

It constantly boggles my mind how bad the payouts are at PTs. SouthPoint I win, Distill I can win, Terribles I win, PTS is always a loser.

Any of the burgers are a win, but that pork chop? Whew. One of my favorites in the city. And baby, the Dirty Martini Spritz is MY thing every single time. From the moment we walked in, the attitude from the hostess/front staff was rude and unwelcoming. We were repeatedly told we had to dump out drinks we had purchased from the bar next door which , no problem at all! However, when we witness other people walking in with drinks without being stopped or questioned. The inconsistency was frustrating and embarrassing. After finally being seated, things just progressed downhill.... We sat there for 15 minutes and the only thing anyone bothered to do was take our water order. No one came back to take food or drink orders, check on us, or even acknowledge us. In actuality at one point, the waiter just looked at us and then turned around and walked the other way. It genuinely felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The service and attitudes were so bad that we ended up getting up and leaving without even eating. Between the treatment at the front, the lack of service, and the overall dismissive, pretentious , and arrogant behavior from girl at the front specially curly hair and braces, the entire experience left a terrible impression. Definitely not a place we would recommend or would return to.

They had some stuff I haven't tried so figured it would be neat to check out. The glassware, taps and wall appeared clean but glassware style and size options were lacking and no indication of when the lines were last cleaned. Would be nice to have some 5oz "taster" glasses as an option at the least. Also, no offer of instruction on how to pour the beer (although I'm well versed in the proper pour) didn't inspire confidence that people weren't reusing glasses or touching the spouts while pouring. Beer didn't pour well on most taps, and one of the kegs kicked leaving me with a bunch of foam. Beer prices were a little high per ounce compared to a pint around town, but the fact you can pour almost any size pour means you'll pay a little extra. Options were decent with some beers I've not seen elsewhere in town. Overall, it's not a spot I'd visit again unless there was some special beer I couldn't find anywhere else in the city.

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.

The food has been solid both times. I've been wanting to go back specifically to try their BBQ, but I've heard it sells out pretty quickly, so I'm hoping to catch it next time. So far, my favorite has been the fish and chips--big portion with a nice thick slab of fish and fries, and it came out crispy and fresh. We've also tried the pizza and the brisket mac & cheese egg rolls, which were both really good. The vibe here feels like an elevated sports bar, but still family-friendly. The space is nice--there's cool art on the walls, and a big bar right when you walk in on the left that stands out. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual hangout with friends.
