Because you can't book online or via email, I called the number on the website and pretty soon got a call back from Jim. We got to pick our tour time and we were the only ones on the tour, so the price was even more of a steal. My wife and I did this a day after taking the Mayflower trolley bus tour and this was a great follow-up because it went into more detail on the history topics discussed on that tour, as well as going into topics that tour didn't even touch. Plus he showed us some architectural gems we would have never found on our own.

Also, incredibly interesting and knowledgeable. My uncle and I both read a bit of P-Town history before our visit, but Rob offered stories and history that we'd not heard; this is truly an in-depth tour given by an expert who's also a superb storyteller. Even if you're in P-Town only a short time you should absolutely take this tour!

I arrived late on Saturday and she found me Sunday morning reading in the sun on a lounge chair and said something like "oh you look so comfortable there, stay! I'll check you in whenever you are ready." That was just so nice as I was tired from traveling. The vibe is easygoing and full of kindness. Some guests that knew each other had had a celebration and we came back to PRL while they were having dessert. They offered us cake and ice cream and we sat and joined them! Poor Richard's Landing evokes the best of Provincetown - how the community welcomes and supports people. Straight couples, gay men, lesbian women, and trans and non-binary folx were all present during my week on the wharf. There is a shared gas grill, plus bicycles and locks, kayaks, life jackets, floaties, and beach chairs available. Cottage #2 is super cute with a bedroom with a view of the beach and MacMillan Pier, and a table and chairs with the same view in the living area. There is a single bed in the living room- with a trundle underneath! (I think you have to pay extra for a 4th person). No couch, but a cozy reading chair. Galley kitchen is very narrow with a half fridge but has everything you need. Bathroom has a sliding door and a nice hot shower. The toilet is right up against the wall so there's a little bit of maneuvering involved if you are, like me, a little overweight. There are heaters and fans to help control the temperature, and the bay breeze is wonderful. This is a GREAT PLACE. The dune shacks were originally built to help shipwrecked sailors who made it to shore- inside the shacks there was everything a sailor might need to survive- food, clean clothes, a bed- and in the same spirit Poor Richard's Landing is truly a safe harbor. I can't wait to come back.

We usually don't go near Provincetown on Holiday weekends for fear of the crowds , but staying at Coastal Acres during the busy summer season gives you the best of both worlds with all that Provincetown has to offer during the day & a peaceful home base to return to at night . I figured out that I've been staying at Coastal Acres since 2002 & have never been disappointed !

I called the phone number available to ask my question and I was met with a rude condescending woman who went out of her way to belittle me for asking if they had flush toilets and hot showers. I hate to break it to her, but not all places have flush toilets. One perfect example is Horseneck beach in Westport. This woman is was only rude and condescending but also ignorant. They will not be getting my money.

Learned somethings about Ptown I didn't know about and the tour guide was great. Beware , there was a pickpocket on my tour. It was so obvious this person didn't belong and wasn't there to learn about the ghosts of Ptown. I watched this pickpocket go from person to person. Didn't see them take anything but got close enough to people to unzip bags and look closely into others. Also left about halfway through the tour....odd. On my tour we were given a glow stick to wear around our wrist. My only question is why would the pickpocket be wearing a glow stick too.
