After bringing my Trailblazer here I would feel completely comfortable making the decisions on my own. (see photos) They give a comprehensive file with pictures and additional insight to the problems, which is extremely helpful. There were a few questions I had about a couple recommended issues and Pete (who completed my inspection report) was able to clarify them with ease and honesty, so I was able to save money on not having to do that repair. It was more of a riding comfort suggestion so it wasn't a big deal since it doesn't bother me. I received a link to the reports via text and e-mail. For the estimate, you can go down the list, which included each cost, and just click "approve" if you want it done which is very convenient when you are at home. If you have questions call! Like I said above they are very easy to talk to and there was never any feel of pressure. Being pregnant during COVID is a concern but the inside was very clean including the shuttle service vehicle and I was very comfortable being there. They have a drink station there or Dunkin Donuts is next door. I also thought it was neat that they have a big picture window with bar height stools and counter that you can watch the mechanics in the shop. I don't think I've ever seen that before. After the repairs, I called around for other pricing estimates and CBA was around what others were. Some areas were less and some were slightly more. One being the fluid flushes. CBA was about $20-30 more expensive. I am a fairly frugal but I would still choose here versus saving $20 somewhere else, especially if you are getting other work done which could equal out the total price. Plus, you have the photos to prove why the repair needs to be done versus someone basically telling you to trust them.. This is now our first choice for automotive repairs. I was notified that VIOC doesn't service transmissions if they have over 160,000 miles, which is funny considering I brought my Malibu in for the same service two months prior with 229,000 miles at the time and they performed the service at the same location with no issues. Now the senior tech is at my window saying that Valvoline passed that rule a month and a half ago, (how convenient!) they also wouldn't do it for the safety of the transmission and for liability reasons- which I can understand. Whether or not he was lying, this rule isn't anywhere on their website and the customer service rep onsite said there was no limit on mileage. The only thing that makes Valvoline unique from other shops is you get in line- no appointment, no borrowing cars, relatively quick, stress free and you're ready to go. Cambridge VIOC needs to remember that they are catering to people who 1. Don't really care about the vehicle (otherwise it would be serviced by John Hirsch's or another dealer!) 2. Don't have time to book an appointment and wait around for that day to come. That's not practical for most people. 3. If the review so far hasn't shown my thoughts, just have me fill out a liability waiver. I would have gladly done so rather than having to hear his cheap excuses for why they cannot perform that service.

After getting our Pacifica serviced for an upcoming trip, I drove home and immediately started to hear a new noise coming from the front tire. I pulled in my driveway (only a few miles away) and my warning light came on indicating no tire pressure. I drove back and the Quick Lane Manager Ross Erickson greeted me "what's wrong, you just left". I told him what happened and he personally took in the van ahead of the waiting cars. Somethings to know: You are not making an appointment. You will more than likely sit and wait to get in. It says "15 minute oil change" but account for about 20-30 minutes per car. If you don't like waiting, go make an appointment somewhere. They will do an oil change, check your lights, fill your tires, top off your washer fluid and do a quick inspection of under the hood. They can change out batteries here. The employees I encountered were great! A stand out was Andrew (I believe that was his name) He was so great! Awesome costumer service skills! He's the reason I would come back to this location! He checked my engine light and made sure the car was safe to drive! What I needed repaired was more that what this place can do, but it gave me peace of mind until I could get to the dealership! Go to the website! They normally have a $10 off coupon!
