There is plenty of street parking so I found parking two blocks away but even at 5 pm, there was still plenty of parking right next to the venue. The theatre itself is really nostalgic, photos of old time actors and a really friend team, they have a bar and concession stand. When the doors opened for the event I was able to find really comfortable seating. The event was really organized and had security which was comforting, but honestly I wasn't really fearful, women who loved to read would be more dangerous to intruders who tried to impose on our happy time. When I went to the concession stand I was greeted by really friendly people, I ordered my sparkling water and got back to my seat. The theatre is nicely air conditioned and really was the perfect venue to host a Book Event with an author signing!

The room was very clean and they use L'Occitane products. The Mexican restaurant was outstanding with the food and the service. There was ample free parking. Security on site everywhere. All the casino and hotel staff was so friendly. The place is so clean inside and outside of the building. It wasn't what I expected from an Indian casino. For the concert in the Summit, there is no tiered seating. All the chairs are arranged on the floor on one level. They have two large screens but if you paid to see a performance and can't see the performer, it is not worth going to this place. By watching the performance on the screen, it is pretty much the same as watching it on TV at home. I probably would not go back there for a show. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for this part of the experience that could have been better and that is checking in the hotel. We checked in an hour early. They said if we want to check in then, it would be $50. We didn't want to do that and was told at 4 pm, just stand in another line to get our keys. We did that and was told our room was not ready and we were supposed to be texted when it was ready. That never happened. We went to get something to eat and went back around 4:30 and was told the room was ready but not given the green light to be released until checked by the supervisor. She said she can give us a double queen instead of a king that is available, but it would cost extra. I don't think so. In other hotels, it would have been no charge to do so since our room wasn't ready at check in time. So, we wait another 15 minutes and got back in line. I think what was happening was if you paid to get an early check-in, those guests get priority in getting the available clean room first regardless of if it was after the check in time. When we got back into line, we got the same person that probably got tired of us asking and gave us a room and by then it was 4:45 pm. That's the trick, if you pay extra for early check in, you get a room ahead of everyone else regardless if it is after 4 pm which is check in time. Or else you can be waiting an hour after the checkin time which isn't right. They need to do that part better for hotel guests or give us a credit for the time we lost in checking in. I'm reading the negative reviews and wonder why do people think they still should get comped free food and drinks or cheap or free valet parking like they were in Las Vegas a decades ago???? Go to self-park and walk and don't take anything from the mini bar!

The waters in the room were $7 each. The valet is $20 a night. No free drinks while gambling. Everywhere I turned I needed my wallet and it made me wonder what the resort fee was paying for. Below I've separated my review by sections. Hotel Room- The hotel rooms were quiet. The floor we were on was non-smoking which was nice. I like that our second room had a bathtub and 1.5 baths. The beds were nice and rooms were clean. As a note, there is a button you can change from red to green if you want housekeeping or not. We didn't realize this the first two days and were confused why the rooms were not made up when we left but that was on us. Bathroom- The L'Occitane Products in the shower and bathroom are nice but the signs about the price of the products made me feel like I wasen't supposed to use them. I was also worried about using any of the other products out of fear of being charged. Bellhop- We transferred rooms during our stay and we asked to borrow a luggage cart. We were told the only way we could use one is if we called a bellhop (so they could make a tip). Mind you, when we first arrived on Thursday night and drove up to valet, we waited 15 minutes for a bellhop because he went to the wrong car twice apparently. We ended up making multiple trips by ourselves to transfer rooms. Safety- Since it is a casino they take safety very seriously. You have to scan your room card in order to go up the elevator. There are also security guards before you even get to the elevators. They have a robot security guard named buddy which I am little suspicious of his intentions... Size- One thing I wish I realized before staying here, this place is huge! You will be walking a lot. I didn't even gamble during my stay but walking around and then back to my room was more than enough steps for me. If you park in the parking garage, even more steps. I would recommend walking shoes for this place. Valet- Like I mentioned above, Valet is $20 a night, you 'check in' for valet on a machine which is nice and it tells you what number you are in line. Regardless of what number we were in line, everyday we valeted we still waited at least 15 minutes for our car (probably because of how far the parking garage is from the front). Make sure to factor in time for valet to get your car if you are on your way to an event. Pool- The pool closes way too early! We were there for 3 nights but with the pool hours we didn't even get to experience it. Most hotel pools close around 9PM but 5PM is crazy! Food- I like the food court option, we went to the steakhouse there as well but the food was overpriced and did not meet our expectations. I got breakfast at Blends and the muffins and fruit were decent. Bar- the TV in the room was advertising seasonal drinks, when we went down to the circle bar, the bar tender didn't know what we were talking about and said she couldn't make that drink. Also, the circle bar always had a line of about 10 people. Adding another bar would be very helpful and I would not recommend advertising a drink your bartenders don't know how to make. EV Charging- They do have EV chargers in their garages but important to note they are slow chargers. On the map it appears there is a chargepoint but when we followed the map there, it was blink slow chargers. Overall nothing drastically bad happened during our stay however it didn't feel as luxuries as I had hoped given the high price of rooms and resort fees. I think their focus on the bottom line is getting in the way of the guest experience.

Well, I said I'd go if someone really outstanding was booked. I expected a theater venue, but it's a room upstairs from Kelsey's restaurant with round tables and a makeshift stage. Most of the tables were empty for the first set of the evening, and the main comedian, Don Friesen, made a point of that. He obviously expected more of an audience. The opening act, a comedian from OC, was an embarrassment. I don't think he got one laugh. We felt bad for him, but kept hoping it would end soon. As soon as Don got on stage, he asked if we were alright, quickly joking that he was sitting in the back during the opening act thinking he was in a morgue. Don was medium funny I would say, which I expected from watching his YouTube clips. He has a good, relaxed stage presence and he bounces a few things off the audience during the set. He improvised nicely. The 2-star rating isn't for the comedians. It's for the venue. The entry price was $25 each (which varies based on the performer according to their website) and there's a 2-drink minimum. When we entered the room and chose the center table one row back, one of the waitresses told us (didn't ask us) to move up to the front row. She wanted to fill up the row. It must've been hers for tips or something. Had we done that, we would've been either looking at the comedians' feet or craning our necks all evening to see him. No one else chose that table, either. The beers were $9 each, with nothing on tap. They were served in small plastic cups of 8 ounces at the most. My friend and and I both opted for sparkling water which wasn't on the menu. Based on the bill we think it was about $6. A 20% tip was added automatically to the drink bill. The waitress wanted to take our credit cards and hold onto them for the evening!?! We said no, so she agreed to bill us after the 2nd drink. When the bill came, she gave it to my husband along with someone else's credit card...it didn't belong to the other party at our table, either. None of us felt the evening was worth almost $50 each with no food or snacks. I doubt we'll be returning any time soon.

Unfortunately, the experience got worse when my husband approached the host stand to collect our tasting cards. The employee raised her voice and said, "Are you sure you want all eight cards? Because once I give them to you, don't think you can give them back." What kind of way is that to speak to a guest, let alone a longtime member? We've always supported Akash because it felt like more than just a winery. It felt personal, welcoming, and family-run. Today, that warmth was noticeably missing. It's disappointing to feel like the personal touch that once made Akash special is being replaced by an impersonal, transactional experience. The casino is small, but it looks like they're trying to expand or rearrange the space by moving the slot machines and placing the tables on one side. The parking garage has security cameras, which is a plus. The hotel hallways are dark, dull, and dated, with pale gray walls. Unfortunately, the room was also very dark, with not enough lamps or lighting. You might want to bring your own portable light! The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of outlets to charge your electronics. Room 637 did not have a luggage rack and had a connecting door to the neighboring room. Wi-Fi worked fine. The bathroom is spacious but could use some artwork or color. The toilet has its own door, but the lighting in there is poor. I didn't use the tub. The shower was a disappointment. There was no hot water at 11 p.m., although it was available at 6 a.m. The water pressure was also too strong, and somehow, water leaked all over the bathroom floor despite the shower glass door being closed. The small bath mat wasn't enough to soak it all up, so be careful not to slip & fall! The pool area was closed, which was disappointing considering it was still warm outside. There's also no spa on-site, despite the hotel's name being Pala Spa & Casino. No buffet either. I didn't try any of the restaurants on the property, and there aren't many other dining options nearby. You'll need to drive to Temecula for more choices. Check-in was another downside. If you arrive early, you'll be told to wait until the official check-in time. By then, the line can get extremely long, with only two employees working behind the counter. Overall, it's an okay place to stay if you're visiting the casino, but don't expect anything luxurious. The hotel could use some updates, better lighting, and improved amenities and service.

A hotel guest even went out of her way to tell us how much she loved her room stay. Game-wise, they have a good variety from penny slots to high rollers, plus a great mix of classic machines. Like any casino, the slots are hit-or-miss; some pay out a bit, others are tight. Although there's a smoke-free area, the smell lingers so I did see some people wearing masks due to the smell. We loved the outdoor patio with umbrella tables for a quick breather. Overall, we had a fun experience and will definitely be back!
