We tried some of the fresh jerky from the counter, some brisket sandwiches (get the XXL one), a banana pudding, pralines, and candied pickle chips. The candied pickle chips were insanely good with the brisket sandwich. We need those in Canada. I have never seen them before and am obsessed. There are so many flavours of jerky. I recommend them all quite frankly. The pralines were good. The banana pudding was more vanilla than banana but it wasn't bad. I just love Buc-ee's and will actively go out of my way to visit in the future.

The bathrooms are always clean! The room itself has overhead occupancy lights, making it easy to see which ones are available. Germ-X is available throughout the bathroom and in the stalls, along with CleanSeat foam for cleaning toilet seats and handles. Hands-free features include automatic flushers and paper towel dispensers. There is also a bathroom attendant keeping everything clean. I love using Buc-ee's bathrooms! The food selection is huge, so there is always something--or a couple of things--you find yourself wanting! There is ALWAYS fresh brisket on the board, a tortilla maker, and so many other food options, including beef jerky, candied pecans, burritos, sandwiches, cookies, fudge, chicken strips, ice cream, and more! Snacks, drinks, regular and seasonal merchandise, shopping carts, and baskets are all conveniently located throughout the store. Outside, there are tons of gas pumps, although you may have to wait during busier times. 16-lb bags of ice are only $1.99. Buc-ee's does reserve the right to limit the quantity. There are also designated dog areas with black waste bags and waste bins, but regular trash cans are located near the entrances. Just a heads-up, this location does not have a car wash. The cashiers are ready to help and have bags open to pack your purchases. Both cash and tap-to-pay are accepted at checkout. Tobacco products are located behind the registers. Buc-ee's is always a great stop. They're open 24/7, 365 days a year, so no matter where I go, I always stop at Buc-ee's!

But there were some recent discoveries that I am now interested in partaking the next time I come through. First on the list would be Temple Railroad and Heritage museum, check out wineries and breweries... there's even a water park for kids! FUN FACT: Temple was a major settlement for Czech immigrants. The restrooms didn't disappoint however... We walked over to the breakfast sandwich area and not one biscuit, burrito or croissant, not one. The whole area was empty like it was shit down. Keep in mind it was 6am. We walked over to the pastry area where there were several people standing around. The lady at pastry yells over, you got any sandwiches ready? The guy lets out a sigh, reaches in a warming area under the counter and tosses up 6 biscuits and 6 burritos. He brings out a tray of croissants and starts putting them together like he's got all day. I literally had time to walk over to the clothes area, pick my niece out a buck-ee costume and walk back and the guy still hadn't wrapped one croissant sandwich. When he finally wrapped the first sandwich, my husband asked to take that one and the guy said, they'll be up on the hot bar I. A few minutes. The guy literally wrapped every single croissant sandwich and laid them on the counter next to him before putting even one on the hot bar. I don't know who was in charge of that morning shift but I'm guessing no one. Who knows how much business they lost and people they pissed off prior to 6am but I guess no one cared.

The only commonality with the restrooms here are that there actually are toilets and a sink. They're filthy, as is the rest of the store. Even the front glass is incredibly dirty, as is the parking lot. It's one of the worst convenience store experiences I've had. The only slight saving grace is that there's a passably decent snack selection, and the inside is well lit. My wife had to wait to use the bathroom because they were cleaning it, and she wasn't sure if they actually did anything. It still needed to be cleaned. Stay away. Buc-ees is worth the wait, trust me.
