Shower ceiling rot/leak
Ken G.

Sort of an ok location. Showers were clean, but lots of undone maintenance issues, including the ceiling (see pics). Limited selection and a little on the small size when compared to other Live's locations.

Larry J.

Slowest gas fill up ever 15 minutes to put 13 gallons in. Still waiting bathroom pretty clean.

I had heard so much about Buc-ee's online but nothing could have prepared me for this experience. I…read moream a huge fan. Who knew a gas station could offer such a wide assortment of food, merchandise, and home goods? We tried some of the fresh jerky from the counter, some brisket sandwiches (get the XXL one), a banana pudding, pralines, and candied pickle chips. The candied pickle chips were insanely good with the brisket sandwich. We need those in Canada. I have never seen them before and am obsessed. There are so many flavours of jerky. I recommend them all quite frankly. The pralines were good. The banana pudding was more vanilla than banana but it wasn't bad. I just love Buc-ee's and will actively go out of my way to visit in the future.

As many others have said, it's Buc-ee's. It's a great stop if you want clean restrooms, fresh…read morejerky, fudge and various snacks. However, the brisket is horrible. I know people always recommend getting the sandwiches, but they only reason they're tolerable is because of the sheer volume of sauce they put on them to mask the flavor of the brisket. Yesterday, I bought some sliced brisket so I could have a carb-free snack on the road. I had no idea how bad the brisket really is. There is smoke flavor, but no bark or smoke ring, so that means they add smoke flavor to it. The fat is not rendered into the meat; it's just nasty globs of fat. I was able to get a couple of bites down, but had to toss the rest because it was making me feel nauseated. If you're a tourist, please don't eat the barbecue here. If nothing else, there's a Rudy's nearby which is far superior to Buc-ee's, though still mediocre by Texas standards.

I was traveling with my 16' Horse trailer from Dallas to San Antonio. About 6:30 at night I stopped…read morefor fuel and found my rear axle bearing had burnt to the point I was afraid to move it off the gas station lot. Everyone is the area was closed. I called R&H before they were even open in the next morning. This family owned business jumped into action. Jeb came over to check the trailer and assured me it would be safe to drive the 2.5 miles to his shop. Once there they provided me an area to unload my animals while they worked on my trailer. The trailer being 20 years old, parts were not readily available but they never stopped looking and eventually fixed me up and got me safely on the road. In a situation like I was in they could have easily gouged me on the price as well but they did not take advantage of me. Their main focus is on semi trailers and reefers but what they did for me will not be forgotten. I'm thankful for this caring family and the lengths they and their employees went to to get me safely to my destination. I highly recommend them if you're ever in need of trailer repairs.

So I tried to adjust the tandem to see if the repairs they did actually worked but it didn't! It's still broken! Jeb recommended that it needs a full rebuild and it will cost me about $4,000. They billed me $650 and my money was spent for nothing. I had a 1-man welder fix the mess they did to my tandem and finally got it to work. And I only had to pay that welder $120. Good luck with R & H and more power!
