My wife recently acquired a new Breitling timepiece for Christmas. The watch required resizing. Provident Jewelers was an authorized Breitling retailer located in downtown Naples. It was here that my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Eric Mager, who went above and beyond to assist us with the sizing of my watch. We were so impressed by Eric's kindness that I will not hesitate to choose Provident Jewelers as our new destination for all our jewelry requirements. Employees like Eric exemplify the integrity of the store and its owner. read more

Eric, Monica and the fine jewelry repair fellow (forgot his name) are so kind and professional, they made a small repair to my Breitling a priority while I waited. I have been going there for years and have to say they have the most welcoming and down to earth vibe. Highly recommend. read more

I called Provident Jewelry and spoke with Marianne, explaining that I had over 60 grams of vintage estate 18K gold jewelry including pendants, earrings, and rings with diamonds and gemstones along with additional 14K gold. I told her I wanted a professional evaluation of the pieces, both as potential estate/vintage items and for melt value. She told me to come in and ask for her specifically. When I arrived, she briefly looked at everything with her eyes, did not weigh or test any of the pieces, and immediately asked, "What are you looking to get?" I explained that I came to them as professionals and wanted their evaluation. Instead of assessing anything, she insisted I give her a number first. She then threw out "$300" as an example -- a number far below even the melt value of the 14K portion alone. I told her that comment felt disrespectful and unprofessional, especially since no evaluation had been done. She became defensive and said she wasn't sure they should work with me. She also admitted she wasn't the decision‑maker and would need to take it to the owner, despite being the person I was told to meet. At no point did she weigh, test, or properly assess any of the jewelry. The entire interaction felt dismissive, unprofessional, and like a complete waste of time. I left feeling disrespected and will not be returning. I don't think it is wrong to expect to take your jewelry somewhere and have them look at it as professionals and give you an estimate in their mind. Whatever that value might be. But to throw out a number like $300 when I have almost 80 g of gold in total without even testing it or looking at it or even accurately going through it is just absolutely shocking. I recommend not going here for anything as you are clearly going to be taking advantage of overcharged and they're hoping no one is wise enough to know the difference.-5 star review if it was possible. read more

Beautiful selection of jewelry with great customer service. 5th Avenue is such a wonderful street to walk and dine, right in the heart of Old Naples. Provident Jewelry store off such a large selection of diamonds from Cartier, Tiffany, Gucci, etc. and all the high end watches too. The owner is so nice that when I asked about changing my mom's simple Timex watch battery, he didn't hesitate to do it, as I waited. Service with a smile! My mom has lived in Naples for 60 years and she says Provident is the best! read more

Impeccable customer service, truly a first-class jewelry experience! My husband and I were touring Old Naples and 5th Ave. for the afternoon and decided to stop into Provident. The store is beautiful, shiny and stunning, flawlessly clean, and the staff was so welcoming and friendly to us the second we walked through the door. We were simply window-shopping, but my husband thought it'd be nice to peek at some wedding bands since we haven't bought ours yet. Monica Cabada helped us, and she made us feel so comfortable and at ease, like we were lifelong friends. This was honestly the first time I had even browsed wedding bands so I didn't exactly know what I was looking for. Monica presented a handful of wonderful selections, carefully listening to my personal style and taste so that she could narrow down my options. She was so delicate and meticulous in her approach, never making me feel pressured or lost. She was so incredibly patient with me and my indecisiveness. She even offered to clean my engagement ring which made the wedding bands I tried on look that much more beautiful! She also got a sense of my personal style after spending about 30 minutes with me, and presented these lovely gold earrings that spoke to my personal taste. She is an expert in her field and truly remarkable at what she does! Although I was not in a buying mood or ready to commit to a purchase that day, Monica made it very temping! If were any other day, I probably would have bought anything she put in front of me! Their store has a beautiful selection of jewelry, both for men and women and their service is top notch. Monica offered us the specs for the wedding band that I was so close to buying, as well as a gift bag with a catalog, chocolates, and hand sanitizer! It was a wonderful jewelry shopping experience and I would highly recommend Provident and specifically Monica Cabada to anyone! read more

if you're buying a watch from provident don't fall for their deceptive business practices--they tell you it's a special edition--tell you it will appreciate in value tell you they will always purchase it back at estate pricing-then when you take it back after a couple of years--it hasn't appreciated the "special edition" means nothing they're really a bunch of liars & cheats read more

As a younger person in an older crowd town, I get dismissed pretty easily at nicer places like this because the people that work there don't want to waste their time with me, thinking that I won't buy anything or can afford it. Right when I stepped in, I got a friendly greeting from Maryann and had her full attention and was very informative with any questions I asked. Great customer service. read more

Holly at the West Palm Beach store was awesome. She guided us through the daunting process of selling about 50 pieces of family jewelry; what could have been a very complicated event was streamlined and simplified! We were impressed with Holly's experience, certification, and expertise in explaining the details of appraisal, pricing, and the market value of each gemstone/metal. The store added a nice touch and offered us espresso and chocolate to make the wait a little easier. We highly recommend Provident without hesitation! read more

Provident is first class all the way...their customer service is second to none. I purchased a new band from them for my Breitling Bentley watch...first they were the only ones that had one. Secondly, it was super fast shipping and third the new band didn't come with the screws and they located them and sent at no charge with free shipping. I just love companies who understand the "little things" are really big things. Justin B. read more

Hands down the best customer service and variety of gorgeous jewelry pieces in SWFL! This store, Provident, is second to none. The store is aesthetically beautiful but the phenomenal variety of gorgeous-jewelry pieces takes over the beauty of the store. I went looking for diamond earrings for my mom's birthday, and I was attended by a great and very knowledgeable staff member, Yani. She (Yani) showed me many sets of beautiful earrings and although it was hard to choose one, she helped me find the perfect one. The pricing was very fair, and I stayed within my budget but received more than what I expected. I went to other stores nearby but nothing surpassed the quality, pricing, professionalism, and most importantly the customer service of Provident. I highly recommend this store, and I will definitely be returning for all my future jewelry desires. read more

On a recent trip to Naples to visit my parents, I stopped into Provident Jewelry as I saw there were some great reviews and I was looking for something for my Mom for Mother's Day. I had the pleasure to work with Maryann and she did not disappoint. She was very knowledgeable and she helped me find some unique earrings that were perfect for my mother. Maryann made me feel very welcome from the second I walked in, to the second I left. I was thrilled with my purchase...and so was my Mom. I highly recommend Maryann and Provident Jewelry. I will visit again next time I'm in town...maybe this time for something for myself! read more

I walked into Provident Jewelry looking to buy my Girlfriend at the time a engagement ring. I was very upset that no one even acknowledged I walked in the store. None of the employees even said Hi to me or even introduced themselves. I was very unhappy with the service especially when I did a little research on the company and was eager to buy a ring. Little did they know if they would of introduced themselves I would of bought a ring because I went to another jewelry store right after and was greeted and purchased a ring for my Girlfriend and she was very pleased. Sad that this business is right in the heart of downtown Naples and the employees can't even great a customer. read more

I have done business with Provident Jewelry for years in several different capacities. First, I brought a client of mine to them to sell his Patek Filippe watch. My client was extremely happy with the level of service, knowledge of product and sale value he received for his watch. I personally sold a designer necklace to them that was purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue and I was very pleased with what I was given. Provident has a great selection of estate jewelry, designer watches and jewelry, plus the level of service is outstanding! read more

I've been frequenting Provident since they first opened their initial Naples store some 15 years ago. The owners and their staff always point me to estate designer pieces which they know fit my wife's taste. And since many of their pieces are estate pieces (formerly owned) you can find unusual items at a good value. Top goods. More importantly top sales people. read more

My experience with Provident Jewlers was upsetting and unpleaseant. I found a men's cartier tank watch at an online jewelry and considered it. Provident had the exact watch and priced matched. I decided to purchase it the next day. I was happy I could make my purchase locally for convinience. Before I wrote my check I made sure the watch was returnable by specifically asking the salesperson TWICE. There was no question about it,she said absolutely and no problem it's returnable. When my husband decided to return the watch everything changed . The manager said the watch was only EXCHANGABLE as it reads on the bottom of the receipt that your wife signed. My husband called me and I spoke with both the manager and salesperson. The salesperson admitted to me that she did tell me it was returnable. I asked her to repeat that to her manager John so we could initiate the return, instead she told the manager she told me exchangeable. I would never make a purchase for a gift at that price that wasn't returnable. The manager was only inconsiderate and rude with no consideration or any thought resolving the situation or the discrepancy. So unprofessional to not find a way to diffuse the issue. I've lived in and conductuted business in Naples for over 26 years and this is the first time we have been so disappointed at such arrogance and disrespect from the manager. Ive deat with numerous jewlers in Naples over the years. The difference is their reputations and consideration to our community is paramount. John offered us anexchange again, we declined as I couldn't do business with someone who insuated I wasn't telling the truth and made no effort on our behalf. read more

I had a very good experience at Provident Jewelry. I came in to repair a loose prong on my engagement ring and pick out wedding bands with my fiancé, The staff was so helpful, especially Alex, He helped us pick perfect bands, They were sized and ready for pick up the same day! We also picked out Roberto Coin Tiny Treasures for our bridesmaids, They had tiny treasures to match each one of the girls personalities and we bought Milus Cuff Links for the groomsmen.. we just know that they will love them! I walked into the store hoping to find my husband the perfect time piece for his birthday. With little to no knowledge on the subject I needed all the help I could get! I met a gentleman named Kyle who gave me the complete run down on all of my options. He not only presented me with a wide range of time pieces that met all of my requirements, but he also told me that he had more to show me at the other store before I made my decision. He then walked me down to the other location on 5th ave. He was so knowledgable and so friendly! I found the perfect time piece for my husband and would never go anywhere else to buy jewelry! Thank you Provident Jewelry for the wonderful experience and for going above and beyond for me as a customer! read more

In April, 2016, took my Movado watch to Provident Jewelry (heading WEST, the store on the right hand side of the street). The watch was losing time, so I figured it needed a new battery. A young, thin man took the watch in the back. He claimed he tried two batteries & couldn't get the watch to work. He suggested I could leave the watch & a $100 deposit & they would figure out what was wrong with it, but the actual cost of fixing it could be more. I wisely declined. I came back to NJ, took the watch to a jewelry shop on the BOARDWALK. They put a new battery in it & it works like a charm. Draw your own conclusions, but I will never step foot in this store again. read more

I was in town for a couple of days with my fiancé and decided to look for a wedding band. I talked to a female salesperson that looked at me and asked what I was looking for. I told her that I was looking for a wedding band to go with my engagement ring. She looked at my ring and said she might have something in the back room. My fiancé came in shortly after and she asked if that was him. I said yes and she said let me see I might have something. Mind you that we didn't give her a price range but I can tell she was judging us by our appearance. We were dressed casual that day due to the fact we were driving on a motorcycle on our trip. The salesperson shouldn't judge a book by its cover if you know what I mean. She basically said they didn't have anything in the store that would go with it and that I should go back to the jewelry store we got the engagement ring from. She didn't help us at all. I was so upset and I couldn't believe her lack of enthusiasm. I have never dealt with anyone like that before in a jewelry store. We ended up at another jewelry store down the street and guess what, they showed me many different rings and options I had. They were so kind and so awesome to work with. I found not one, but two wedding bands, one for each side. They are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. I don't recommend anyone shopping at The Provident, especially if you are on a lower budget, they won't go out of their way to help you. They only want to cater to the rich. So sad!!! read more
