Where we live we have a huge wasp population (I think I have seen every species possible flying around) so we wanted to avoid open bottom lights as we had issues with wasps building nests in them. Also my husband made it even harder as he didn't want, plain black with clear plain glass, which of course is most the current style. Both Lori and Tracey helped us out. We sat looking at lots of catalogs, checking online. We spent a long time in the store and they were very patient with us. We even found some that we liked, but they were super expensive (of course the catalogs don't have prices, they have to sit with a computer to assist) as we needed 7 lights even they knew that would not be a good pick and we continued searching. We eventually were successful, they ordered our lights and within a week they were ready for pick up. They recommended 2 electricians for us, one they felt especially suited our needs after talking with us. We got quotes from a few local electricians as we live further out, but we also got one from the guy they recommended: Mark from Monocacy Electrical & Lighting Services LLC. He was the most friendly and knowledgeable guy and fairly priced, we used him and were quite happy! Our lights look fantastic, we were very happy with the whole experience. Except the Ouch to the bank account, s there lighting is much more expensive than shopping at Home Depot, but there lighting is unique and fantastic. You get what you pay for as they say.

Prices aren't the cheapest, but they do a great job, are quick, so I think it's reasonable. The first time I worked with David Williams himself - my fridge's outlet kept going out, and then coming back on. David walked through steps to test the outlet, the circuit breaker, the grounding circuit and some other tests before he would come out and charge me. It was a nice touch. Trouble shooting took a few trips out, but he was very easy to reach as we tested. Next they came out to fix some really dangerous wiring in our attic after our roof was replaced. Installation went fine. The last trip out they installed new recessed lighting in our living room and a new chandelier and a two dimmer switches. We bought the chandelier, but they provided the recessed lighting. In all cases, dry wall is repaired to flat surface ready for painting - but they do the painting themselves. Jobs are generally paid for by service, not hours, so you know what it will cost up front - baring any surprises when they open an outlet and find that it's been wired to two circuit breakers by the pervious owner, or your attic fan apparently has 2 sources of electricity ...

It was a lot of work over multiple days, but the whole time they were really clearly explaining every step of the process and why they were doing it so I always felt informed. Bill, the master electrician, is quite knowledgeable on all of the various aspects of the electrical code, as well as the various approaches that we could use to conform to it (as well as the ways in which less scrupulous electricians might try to skirt the safety rules). The both of them were even here at the house when the county electrical inspector arrived to give him the technical information he needed about the work they did for me, and he was really impressed with the quality of the job they did. I'll be calling these two again in the future if I need some more wiring work done for sure. They really live up to their name of Quality Electrical Work.
