The service was great very easy parking in the garage. There so may stores you could shop for days. They have 4 floors with many stores to select from. Zara is my favorite selection. You can get great value of sales especially with Christmas in a few weeks. I love There Christmas theme " The Polar Express". The drive from Hartford was less then two hours. They also have a huge food court. They have a new sushi and hibachi restaurant and P.F. Changs there is something for everyone from adults to children of all ages. When your in Providence Rhode Island check out Providence Place Mall. To all my Yelpers let's continue shopping and getting good value for your money. Shop until you drop.

Fun mall, various shops. Nothing spectacular or fancy, good location. Would I return? Maybe just for parking.

Shopping malls are still a center of gathering and shopping...yes, there's online convenience at your fingertips at home, but sometimes there's just no comparison to feeling and touching an item or trying something on. The Providence Place Mall has several EV charging stations for those needing to charge their cars (now you need to download the Shell EV app to be able to access the free charging stations). Limit 2 hours....which is also the time frame for free parking. Any other parking from 2-5 hours is only $2 for the entire parking stay. Not bad for being right in downtown Providence. Lots of big and small stores like Macy's, Boscov's, Level 99, JD Sports, Tiffany's, Brook Brothers, Abercombie, H&M, Express and many more.....

Modern clean mall attached to the Omi with a Macys and Boscov's store as the anchors. There is a Nordstrom's shoe store that has remained. Upstairs is a food hall with an IMAX cinema and views of the river. There were clean restrooms. What I did appreciate was small vendor set up tables inside and they're selling their hand crafts. Many were beautifully done and ethnic. We did buy a homemade banana bread from Paradise Pastries in Norwich, Connecticut.

This is a beautiful mall located in the heart of Providence. Not only do they have every possible store you can think of pretty much, but there's also a Dave & Buster's and a beautiful movie theater, as well as some great restaurants including The Cheesecake Factory, Uno Pizzeria, and P. F. Chang's. Parking in their garage is free for the first 2 hours. My only issue is I dislike the garage. It scares me. It's nice that they installed lights along the ceilings which blink green if there are available spots, or red if there aren't any. But I still find it confusing and speed demons who drive way too erratic piss me off. Beautiful mall,, great stores and restaurants. Scary garage lol.

Well - this is a mall that has a large number of stores in it - 4 floors and even though it didn't look like it was open originally, we went in and worked around to see if we could scoop some stuff before we continued onto Boston. Alot of stores have went out of business - however, they have a large food court, movies, large end cap stores and a huge variety of shops from top to bottom. Fan of it - however the entrance makes it looks closed.

Ask the Community - Providence Place

Is the Providence Place Mall in Providence RI still a thriving mall? Lots of stores still open?

Yes, I would say a lot of stores are still open in Providence Place Mall. Pop Mart recently opened and there is Uniqlo, American Eagle, Abercrombie, Express, and so much more.

I've always enjoyed exploring the Garden City Center, an open-air shopping center in Cranston, and…read moreI've seen signs for Garden City Center Farmers Market around. I had the opportunity to visit on Sunday, September 14th. Garden City Center's historic gazebo green transforms into a vibrant, open-air Farmers Market. The Farmers Market is every Sunday from May 18 through September 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM. I wandered and checked out the local vendors. There were a great variety of them. I purchased a really cute coaster from The Book Emporium RI. The Book Emporium RI sells books that are wrapped and you have a blind date with a book. I also purchased a lavender sachet from 15 Lavender Place. I spoke with the owner and she told me all of the lavender is lovingly home-grown and hand-harvested, ensuring the highest quality and care go into every product. There were soothing lavender eye pillows, relaxing neck wraps, sprays, and bundles of dried lavender. I also went to Fully Rooted to purchase two bottles of freshly pressed juices-Watermelon Slice and Golden Greens. There were also local food trucks, farm booths, and local makers. The Garden City Center Farmers Market is a market for everyone. Either if you just want to stop for coffee, get produce for the week, flowers, dog treats, see alpacas, and so much more.
